Please change your fry oil more frequently. Wasted over $ 5 on sweet potato fries that didn’t taste very good. Only ate 3 – 4 fries. Maybe most people coming in late night may not care, but I do. Don’t think I’ll go back to this location. Never had a problem at the Burnside location.

First of all, thank you for allowing us to order large to-go orders. Accommodating large to-go orders on top of servicing your in store customers is a challenge of it’s own, I’m sure. That being said, I’ve never actually stepped foot in this place but we have ordered lunch from FOTM many times. The food is quite tasty and the serving size is generous. I really enjoy and look forward to our work luncheons from here.

First time in here lastnight after a long day at work… I was confused at first at how the food combinations work but in the end one of there employees by the name of haley was very helpful. They even let you sample sauces before you make a decision. All in all the wings were awesome and the way they season and fry there fries was excellent. Will be back when i have a craving for more chicken wings!

First time here I liked how you could try all the sauce at the counter especially for first timers. We enjoyed some beers and wings also the fries are amazing! Will be back if we can find seating since it is a really small space.

Okay — first thing, the wing sauce is BOMB. The server seemed annoyed the whole time, but that’s neither here nor there honestly. My reason for these 2 shitty stars are the fact that their«vegan wings» are literally deep fried vegan chicken nuggets you can buy from ANY grocery store. I literally have them in my freezer. When I see a specialty vegan option, I’m thinking SOME effort went into the culinary side of it. Nope, vegan deep fried, average, make at home wings. So disappointed. (Also no vegan ranch, really??)

I want to begin by saying, I’ve mostly been reviewing places that I love since they’re the ones that stand out and are easy to write about, while bad eateries are tough to focus on and are very forgettable. From now on I’ll try to focus on the duds also. THATBEINGSAID. First off, let me start with, I AM A HOTWINGLOVER. Eff those fancy sauces. Give me medium/hot classic wings and let the simple sauce and chicken speak. With that caveat, I have yet to have a better classic hot wing yet in Portland. I’ve tried two of their locations, Burnside and Interstate. Quality has been very consistent so that hasn’t been an issue ever. FoTM does not have: — Zero Chicken Tasting Chicken — Boring«TM Franks Hot Sauce» sauce. — Soggy chicken. Really what else do you need? That’s chicken wings. Chicken that tastes like chicken, sauce that is made well, and crispy. It’s fantastic, go get it. If you haven’t yet, you haven’t had chicken wings in Portland.

Great little place right on Interstate. The wings were fabulous, the staff were friendly, the cajunized Tator tots were okay. I stuck to the medium buffalo sauce. Only minor issue I had was the choice in music selection. Not sure if that’s typical, but it mildly detracted from the ambiance. Overall, I will definitely return.

Always wonderful. A fantastic array of wing varieties and great service, even when they are busy. Seating is quite limited here(seats about 20 I would say) and parking is on the street, but the outdoor seating kicks things up a notch and adds a welcome element to relaxing with a beer and a plate full of wings. On top of wings, they do offer a variety of sides(tots, fried pickles) and sandwiches(all of which sound wonderful, really.

This is one of my favorite stops on my way home from an evening event. My whole family can easily agree to eat here – and we all have our favorites – the spicy peanut sauce chicken salad for me; the moderate heat wings for my husband and son; the sweet potato fries for my daughter who also loves their mild wings. Yes, it’s a bit chaotic, and it’s definitely dirty-ish, but it has the best wings in town(that doesn’t include you, Pok Pok because your wings are in a beautiful, parallel universe). Just go – and avoid the bathroom if you are picky about cleanliness.

I have heard SO much about this place, and hadn’t tried it until last night. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING. My boyfriend and I got 24 wings. 6 Jamaican jerk, 6 blackberry habanero, 6 medium, and 6 cilantro. Besides the wings, we tried the fried Oreos; so delicious, fried Twinkie; great, but not as good as the Oreos and the frickles; yummy! I WILL be going back here, and advise whoever loves wings(quality wings), and fried deliciousness, go here. It will forever change you! You’re welcome in advance!(:

Yes, the space is small, and people seem to be hanging out for hours on end without ordering anything, but the wings are tasty, they have a ton of different options for sauce, and the fries are excellently salty-sweet, which is something that I never knew I wanted but somehow now crave. I wish there was a Fire on the Mountain in my neighborhood because this would be my regular jam.

Yep, I really love this place. They have beer and wine, including some specialty brews. I usually do a glass of Merlot or Pinot Noir. Of course my all time favorite is the boneless Jerk.

Last time I was here, I found a hair in my salad. I didn’t even care or say anything because this place is so good. Their veggie drumsticks(yeah, i’m veg and I like this place) are amazing. I dream about them sometimes. It’s a tad expensive, but maybe that’s because I refuse to choose between a huge(dinner) salad with veggie nuggets and an order of their veggie drumsticks(on sugarcane bones! what!?). This place is great to take my meat-loving friends and family and know that I can get something super delicious too.

I’m really bummed to be giving such a low star review after such a long Unilocal hiatus. But alas. On NYE my fiancé was very late coming home from Portland(yes, I had to move to the green, green pastures of Clark County after the craziness in cost of living in my fair city). To the point I was honestly getting freaked out enough to potentially start calling emergency rooms. The reason he was 2.5 hours late coming home was he had decided to surprise me by swinging by FOTM to get my most favorite dish, buffalo vegan drumsticks. An unabashed carnivore am I, but there’s just something about them vegan drums. He gets home and hands me a bag, and eagerly I open up a box and discover some unidentified fried object. I eagerly take a bite, only to be hit with a wave of bland confusion. The look of confusion and bemusement on my face had my fiancé asking what was wrong. «What in the fresh hell is this?» I asked him, and he said, «I got you the vegan drums from FOTM!» I handed him the box. We sat, perplexed staring at the unknown fried things. He ate one. «What fresh hell indeed.» Apparently, FOTM makes another version of their vegan wings, and these are those. They’re creepy, and much like McDonald’s chicken McNuggets. I called the restaurant, and after waiting on hold for creeping close to ten minutes(I get it, it’s new year’s eve, but the customer on the phone is just as important as the customer in front of you… or at least that’s what I’ve always been taught as a receptionist…) and finally spoke to some one. I explained that their had been a miscommunication, and that our order was wrong, and unfortunately living on the 205 side of Vancouver it would be a pretty terrible inconvenience to bring the food back at this point. I was then very condescendingly explained by the young woman that there is a difference between the drums and the wings, which having been a customer of FOTM for presumably longer than this lady has lived in our fair city, I was aware of. She claimed to remember my fiancé(and perhaps she did, he is exquisite!) and he definitely ordered the wrong thing according to her. I said I found that interesting as I always order the same thing, since time immemorial, and either way, I was rather unhappy about it all, as even if I had ordered the«wings», frankly they were terrible, no sauce was included and I wasn’t going to eat them. I was irritated having to argue my position like this was Watergate. She condescendingly asked what I wanted from her, and I explained I just wished to be reimbursed for the food. Eight whole dollars. Not his food, just mine, no big deal. After responding like she was literally put out for having to move such mountain, I asked if she needed the card number, she apparently didn’t need his card number because the order was magically still on her computer(and maybe it was, I’ve never used a restaurant POS but it’s disconcerting that an hour and a half later our financial information could still be manipulated on their system) said she’d reverse it, and hung up. It’s now Monday(NYE was Thursday) and charges never were reversed. Imagine that. I did call and speak with a a shift leader, who was nice, and seemed genuinely disappointed by the experience, and offered to comp some food for our next visit. I politely declined, just wanted to let some one know about the experience, because honestly, we won’t be back. Rudeness is one thing. Dishonesty is another thing. And together it’s a thing I don’t want to revisit. It’s been fun FOTM, but between this and the extremely disappointing experience on my birthday at the Fremont location(another story for another day but included hijinks, rude staff, and being charged for a «complimentary» birthday dessert that I had explained to the waitress I didn’t want to begin with) I’m rather over it. It’s disappointing as a customer for almost ten years, but I know ya’ll got your hands full with the expanding locations(Colorado. wow!) but maybe check in on your staff, it’s not a good vibe, and it appears I’m not the only long time customer with the complaint.

Was in town and was craving wings so stopped by here with a coworker. Got the boneless wing special and it was pretty good. Quality of the tenders were pretty good. I didn’t love the sauce that I got but that is on me since I sampled it before. Fries were pretty solid. Cheap place and service was quick and friendly. Would come back again.

Wow, man. These are some of the best wings in Portland, if not that I have ever had. Come here for their happy hour, it’s p good. Wings, fries, onion rings, stuff like that. Pretty freaking good and is one of my favorite places to go after attending something at the ModaCenter.(Or Rose Garden for you 90’s kids) Highly recommend it. TL;DR: Come here at happy hour. Great prices, great food.

Part 12 in my Oregon adventure series! «Hot sauce must be hot. If you don’t like it hot, use less.» –David Tran(Creator of Sriracha Hot Sauce) Let me go on record by saying that I’m not really the biggest hot wings fan. I’m not a connoisseur, and would be hard pressed to tell the difference between FotM, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, and Wingstop if you were to give me a blind taste test. I can tell you that the grub here is pretty dang good. My absolute favorite thing we ordered were the Garlic Knots that don’t seem to appear on the menu as of checking online today. I was also a HUGE fan of their fried pickle spears with chipotle mayo dipping sauce. OMG so good! The hubs got wings slathered in Medium Sauce, Sweet BBQ, and Jamaican Jerk sauce. I shared an order of boneless wings in Sweet BBQ… but honestly they felt more like chicken tenders to me. Still, they were quite tasty! The ambiance is fun, the service is friendly, and the food is good!

You know what? Despite the tiny wings that they serve, the rest of the menu is pretty decent. I’ve now been to two locations, this one and 57th& Fremont, and I’ve enjoyed the food at both locations. I also like the variations of the sauces. On this evening I got the grilled Buffalo chicken sandwich with Bourbon Chipotle. It wasn’t very spicy, but I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. The chicken itself was very tender and the fries were spot on. If I’m correct, the bread is from Flor De Lis, and their stuff is always great. It was a relaxed evening and this location isn’t exactly that big. Not much larger than a shoebox, but I do like the history of the Buffalo wings written up on the back wall and the beer selection on tap was small but good. Look, FOTM has been around for quite some time, some rave it some pan it. Just go make your own opinion of the place. All I know is that I’ve enjoyed it the few times I’ve been there. I’ve only had the wings once. There’s more to this place than wings. Enjoy.

If you’re looking for a quick and hot to snack on, definitely stop by here! Especially if you love fried stuff! Anyways yay, I was in Portland last month! I came back here before heading back up to Seattle and was super excited. Picked up my delicious large box of Cajun fries with a side of ranch and ketchup, which was only $ 6. *heart eyes emoji* Of course had to get a side of horchata, which was only $ 2…another yay! And this time I decided to get some fried blue cheese stuffed mushrooms and it was puuuuurfect! That, I definitely would order again. I don’t like blue cheese and was afraid of what I was gonna get but it was delicious.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. I know… this place is about wings. But… not wanting to head back to work with a rainbow of sauces on my face and clothing, I opted for something cleaner. I had a question about how spicy the sauce would be, and was offered a celery stick to taste the sauce with. How nice! Order number in hand, I picked up a copy of WW and headed to a table. Immediately noticed that the wooden booths are not very comfortable at all. I tried to resolve this by sitting cross-legged on the booth seat, which only made the wood slide out a bit from the wall. Needless to say, this was annoying. My food came out quickly. The Oriental Salad was a decent portion, but with celery, canned mandarins, and green onions trying to carry most of the weight of the salad, it really wasn’t that spectacular and not worth $ 7. Swapping out celery for snap peas or bell pepper would have been much more enjoyed. Maybe I just hate celery. Steve Buscemi should get on that. Anyways…the salad dressing was nice and there was a decent amount left over, which I was able to dip my tater tots in. Tots were pretty standard, although they gave a good portion for the side price of $ 2. In the end, ordering a salad and tots in a wings place may have been a bad idea, but shouldn’t any food on the menu in a good restaurant taste good?
