What convinces some people to go into public service is beyond me. High prices notwithstanding, you’ll only get a «thanks» from the workers here if you tip them. It’s a gathering place for college kids and Beat Generation-types. Not quiet about their life-styles or discreet. Saw and heard too much for some of the most expensive snacks on Woodstock boulevard. Bye bye!

A cute friendly coffeeshop in the Woodstock neighborhood. I like their orange walls. They were playing some good music, too. I asked for the Stumptown Rwandan Blend in my own cup. I thought I’d be the one to dispense it, beings they had self serve. The server cheerfully filled my cup. I didn’t partake of any food, but appears they have a lot to offer and even a Happy Hour from 5p-6p. Not sure what that entails. Lots of folks computing in their seating area. A solid vibe. Not jammed packed, not too sterile and wide open either. A good balance.

Friendly service, really good teas and coffee, and the best bagels in town. Enjoy their fresh pastries and breakfast sandwiches and their excellent bagels. My favorites are the salt bagels.

This little coffee shop is a hidden gem. It’s a quiet place to study with great coffee and snacks. There’s even some outdoor seating. And they have happy hour from 5−6pm where you get $ 1 off any espresso drink! Very friendly staff and always have good background music playing.

One happy girl. Ever since I found out I was gluten intolerant, I have been on the quest to find a GOOD gluten free bagel. Cuz, this girl right here is a bread-aholic. I found THE place! Chewy center, toasty on the outside, wonderful flavor… The hunt is over! I was brought to my knees at how delicious the everything bagel was… Now happily consumed. Those haunting memories of what it was like to enjoy a good bagel are now gone! Don’t be hesitant about the size, just take that bite and swoon.

I was in the area on business and was recommended this spot by my boyfriend. Spent 5.75 $ for a gluten free bagel with spread and a 12oz cup of coffee, decent prices, and the bagel was delicious! The two people that helped were warm and gave quick service. I wasn’t super excited about the layout, lighting and seating options, I was reading and didn’t think to ask about wifi, so I am not sure if they have it. I think I will sit outside next time.

This coffee is real and authentic. This is more of a real coffee house than just a coffee shop. Good service and the have treats for dogs. They also have an outside seating area that is enjoyable.

First Cup is by far my favorite business on the Woodstock strip. They have the usual for a Portland coffeehouse: great coffee, bagels, and a super outdoor patio. But, what truly keeps me coming back is how friendly the owners and employees are. First Cup really has a perfect Woodstock locals vibe.

The coffee is great but the employees seem kind of stuck up and the environment is kind of lacking.

The people that work here are nice enough. They only offer alternative milks that have sugar added to them(and they don’t carry coconut or hemp milk at all), and none of their dairy/milk/cream is organic, which is pretty gross. Oh, and they only have artificial/chemical sweeteners and sugar at the coffee bar; no stevia or any other natural sweeteners. They have a wide variety of bakery items and snacks including bagels and lots of gluten free options. I think that’s probably the only thing that kinda sets them apart from a really basic, average coffee shop. The atmosphere is super average; it’s in a strip-mall next to a real estate business, and the inside was just some older tables, stools and chairs. Additionally, there were dirty tables that needed to be bussed for sure and there was only one other person in there besides me, with two baristas working, so they weren’t busy. Lastly, they don’t accept debit cards for anything below $ 4 or $ 5, which is odd. Definitely doesn’t stand out in any positive way, at all, in the saturated world of good Portland coffee shops.(This review really should probably be more like a 2, but the people that worked there were pretty friendly and they serve Stumptown, which is decent enough coffee).

The best coffee in Portland us brewed right here. Great bagels too. But let’s go back to the coffee again. It’s consistently excellent.

Great little coffee shop with tasty gluten free options, friendly service, and nice outdoor deck. There is plenty of parking and it’s located in a nice walkable area of Woodstock with lots of neat shops to check out. Good place to come and read while you enjoy a cup of coffee!

I have always wanted a neighborhood coffee shop to have great coffee, treats and friendly service. Here’s a list of why I love this spot: –Portland’s best bagels(over Kettleman’s; I’m from the east coast. We take our bagels very serious) — Fun and funky drink combos –They have both mercury and WW papers –Gluten free options are new cascadia treats. –Friendly and familiar faces behind the counter — Good music and ambiance. –Optional outdoor seating We have been stopping by for a few years now and never disappointed.

We didn’t try their coffee but we did pick up a couple of bagels on T-Giving morning. I was so happy they were open. The staff was friendly and the bagels were great. They told us that someone actually complained on Unilocal that they use too much cream cheese. I give them 5 stars for that alone because IMO, there’s never too much cream cheese… anywhere.

I’ve been coming here for a little while now. Everyone is really friendly plus the coffee and food is really good! But this morning I was pretty disappointed. If I don’t ask for light cream cheese I get huge globs of it in my mouth with every bite of my bagel, which grosses me out. I don’t like swallowing heaping globs of cream cheese with every bite. So I assumed if I asked for light cream cheese Id get a normal amount on my bagel. I guess I was wrong. There was little to none on my bagel this morning, which made it really dry and it felt like I was just eating a plain bagel that had been toasted with nothing on it. And it costs more money to get a spread on it. The bagels are really yummy, just wish I could get a normal amount of cream cheese on it. Not everyone likes huge globs of cream cheese in their mouth with every bite.

Ask for the mocha, your soul will be eternally grateful. It’s made with organic chocolate, and the taste says it all. The cream used is also local, and the rich, slightly sweet quality really brings it together. Best mocha I’ve ever had. Plenty of seating here, fast wifi, plenty of outlets and overall a great place to spend a few hours hammering out some reports or just relaxing with a fiercely delicious coffee beverage.

Stopped in for a cup of joe for the road, and also grabbed a small pumpkin bread. Certainly inexpensive: the 12 oz of coffee was only $ 2 – 3. COFFEE: 3.0. I just had my mug filled with the drip coffee. Tasted like a light-to-medium roast. I prefer darker. PASTRY(Pumpkin Bread): 3.0. Good texture and decent taste. AMBIANCE: 4.0. We didn’t use the facilities, but the place had a welcoming, comfortable interior for lounging with a cup of coffee and a laptop, newspaper, or whatever.
