Yellow fin ceviche tostada. Delicious, fresh, bright… amazing! Cannot believe this came from a food truck, mind blown with how good this is!

I love you guys! I’ve tried the fish tacos and the original fish and chips. Both were amazing. Perfect for a picnic on the Eastern Prom or with a beer at Rising Tide. I wish more food trucks did it right!

I’ve had both good and mediocre at this joint. The fried fish sandwich with avocado was top notch and super fresh but the fish in my fish and chips meal was cut poorly with one end being decidedly larger than the other, resulting in perfectly cooked fish at one end and wet and raw fish on the bulky side when I bit in. Also, a note about hours: when you say you’ll be at a particular location from x to x, be there. I know you’re a food truck, blah blah blah, but your customers have busy lives and make a point to seek you out. I personally don’t love arriving at your designated spot 20 minutes after you say you’ll be open to find the fryers haven’t been turned on yet or 15 minutes before close on another day to be told you’ve closed. Just sayin’.

Absolutely amazing. Fish tacos and the High Thai were ridiculously good. Ask for the poblano sauce!

The fish tacos were the best I’ve had ever! Lots of really fresh fish cooked to perfection with delicious and fresh toppings. Next time I’m definitely going for the High Thai’d.

I cannot possibly be as eloquent as Jay H and Deni T, so I will just say that the fish and chips here are excellent.

I can’t say it better than Jay did. After a week of Facebook stalking I finally caught my white whale after they decided to cancel plans of being in a different location and went to the Eastern Prom lined up with Urban Sugar and PB&ME. One of us had the OG, one the High Thai’d and one the High Thai’d sliders. There are no pics of the e food because it smelled so good and was gone so fast after the first bite… There was no time for pics. Next time. Seriously great guys, great food and they were sweet enough to give us water from the tap for the pups after our walk around the Prom after I asked if I could buy water. They are active on Facebook so that is where to find them. Do yourself a favor and get you some.

Cast aside any reservations that you might have about eating food out of a truck because Fishin’ Ships is the reel deal. I caught up with them in the Rising Tide parking lot, the combination of delicious beer and fried fish proving too strong a lure to resist. Though I’m not overly schooled in the art of fish and chips, I am not una“cusk“omed to fried fish, either. I know that no fish, dead or alive, benefits from being soggy with oil, and that the dish can flounder when the batter is overwhelmingly thick. Not to worry though, because I can unequivocally state that Fishin’ Ships served me some of the best fried fish that I have ever had(dock). There were many attractive options on the menu; I think I cod have closed my eyes, pointed randomly and been happy with my selection. Ultimately, I ordered the High Thai’d; two deliciously tender pieces of white fish battered with a crispy concoction containing chili and cilantro. For an extra dollar I added sweet potato fries, which complimented the spice nicely. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious, but not the sole reason for my wanting to return, and I’m definitely Davy Jonesing for more. I cannot comment on their ability to serve crowds of people with such a high level of execution(I was the only person ordering food) so who knows how economies of scale will effect their production. Find them on the(inter)net to locate the truck. You’d be making a missed hake if you didn’t.
