As a long time Fit Right NW customer I’ve always appreciated their commitment to customer service and was a regular customer. I bought another pair of running shoes from Fleet Feet over the summer and had an ok experience.
Today I found a lost gift card from Fit Right which has a balance of $ 100 — which can still be verified online. When I went in today to see about redeeming it the three associates behind the counter all looked at me like I had three heads and responded with a flat NO.
It was my understanding that when Fleet Feet took over Fit Right NW everything was transferred over (customer files, account, etc) I stood there for a moment waiting for a glimmer of compassion — maybe «oh, I’m so sorry let me see what I can do» or maybe a «unfortunately the card won’t work but let me see if I can discount your next purchase».
Blink Blink… frown…blank stare… is all I got. I left the empty store with my worthless $ 100 gift card never to return.

I am always a fan of Fleet Feet. Wonderful customer service. Great advice. And their post-​Christmas sale isn’t so bad either ;)

Not a runner, but an avid pedestrian in need of a replacement for my well loved 10 year old ascis. Walking in on a weekend afternoon, drenched, I was extra impressed by the staff’s warm welcome and immediate customer service. Though the store did not have the two pairs of shoes I had seen online and wanted to try in store, they were very knowledgeable and able to put me into comparable shoes — so I could experience the fit, as well as a few recommendations of their own based on my needs and foot. They were happy to pull any and all shoes I wanted, and introduced me to a special lace technique to keep my narrow foot in place (who knew?!). I actually wound up preferring their picks — they really know what they’re talking about! They also offered to order from their other locations and online inventory when they didn’t have my size in stock. Great experience all around, now I might not wait another 10 years for my next pair of sneakers…

I desperately needed a pair of good running shoes that fit the way I run. I had great service and the woman who helped me was very knowledgeable and patient with me. I’ll definitely go back!

Fleet Feet is a great place to go if you want a good consultation on which running shoes are ideal for you. Plan to carve out a solid hour+ here, because the employees here take their time to work individually with you to assess your foot, running stride, etc. to help you get the perfect shoe.
The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful and there is no other place I would trust to buy shoes in Portland. So glad I found this place!

My chiropractor and PT both said it’s time to get PROPER shoes for walking and working out so I went to Fleet Feet and bared my soul (and feet)…I don’t have a routine. I don’t know what ‘feels right’, I don’t want to have back pain, and I don’t want ugly. SO, Annika was my athletic angel and worked her magic — gait assessment, shoe selection & analysis, and high standards. I didn’t feel rushed and I’m thrilled with what we found. She listened, asked great questions, and understood my aesthetic requests. Thanks, Annika!

I was there today to get help for running shoes and inserts. 2 sales people were helping other people — I sat on the bench within 3 feet of both of them and they never even looked at me or said «Be right with you.» Just totally ignored me for 15 minutes! There was no one else in the store — 2 people can’t handle 3 customers. Also heard other help in back chattering away. If you don’t know the basics of customer service and greeting a new customer, you’re not for me. Too many other running stores in Portland. This inventory looked lean too. Won’t be back.

I liked the level of knowledge about the different shoe types as well as an understanding of what I was looking for. I run 30+ miles a week, I pronate, have a bunnon, and was looking for a light weighted shoe. The staff were able to help find the perfect shoe for me. I love my new running shoes!

Nice spacious store, with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Was recommended by my podiatrist to Fleet Feet because of their selection of motion control shoes, which they had a few of.

I went into Fleet Feet yesterday looking for a new pair of running shoes. I use to go to Portland Running Company as they were closer to where I lived, but Fleet Feet is so convenient for me now.
Just so you know, I worked with, Coop. He was awesome and really helpful.
I feel like I have to compare Fleet Feet to Portland Running Co and I have to give Fleet Feet the WIN. Their store layout with the little track is pretty spiffy! They also seemed to do way more analysis on my gait, walking/​running style and gave me a TON more options.
The prices of the shoes were reasonable, I mean I paid $ 110 for a nice pair of Brookings which is what I would have likely paid on Amazon (I took a shot of the UPC code.)
They did a really great job of answering my questions and giving me reviews of several different shoes. I will be back in there for sure.

I’m not a runner. Yet, I was welcomed and listened carefully to about the challenges I was having with my feet. I’m still getting used to the Altra shoes I purchased, but I am hopeful they will be a great solution for me. They sure get more comfortable every day.

I came to Fleet Feet earlier this week in search of some new training shoes with no idea where to begin. Matt at the 23^rd and Raleigh store was extremely helpful and patient with me. He listened to all my needs and fit me with a great shoe. There are so many options out there, to have an expert listen to my needs and pull three options and narrow it down for me, took the stress of finding the right shoe completely away.
I felt no pressure to buy and did not feel like I was being sold unnecessary additions. I felt a little silly running/​walking/​squatting/​lunging around the store but it helped in finding the right fit. I loved the mini running track around the store!
My shoes have felt great and I’ll be coming back for the inserts and picking up some more work out clothes soon! Thank you Matt and Fleet Feet!

Not in any specific order, just as thoughts come to mind…
The store is very clean, well-​stocked with an excellent selection of items.
All the reps are very knowledgeable and helpful, willing to answer any questions, and I very much appreciate their personal experiences and opinions on products I’m considering purchasing, from gels to shoes to running apparel.
Numerous times my friends have heard about Feet Fleet… uh…Fleet Fleet… say that 10x fast… Sports store when I tell them I’m training for a ½ marathon. The coffee is great and a very nice touch! The reps are very patient while I try on a variety of shoes and run around the indoor track.
The 5k, 10K and ½ marathon training programs are great, and the coaches are very good and knowledgeable.
And everyone seems genuinely glad to see me and great me when I enter, which is a very nice touch, as your customer appreciation seems to be at the top of someone’s list! Either that or I’m spending way too much time in a running store…

Visited this amazing place with my wife with the intention of getting a new pair of shoes for her, and a massage tool for me.
We actually took the trimet and walked a bit to it’s location and started browsing. A helpful gentleman informed us to put our names on the list as there are a queue of customers looking for fitting and he set some expectations of timing with us.
When it was our turn, the same gentleman was very patient and accommodated her needs to get a non-​flashy color in a wide sizing and tested some brands of insoles. The open track-​like setting allowed her to test the four pairs of shoes very well and she got what she needed.
They do not have the item I had in mind (roll8) but I got myself a brand new Garmin Forerunner and the Correct Toes that he have great insights on.
Overall just a great place with knowledgable and friendly staff and a wide range of good products.

I decided to check out Fit Right due to the fact that they have the treadmill gait analysis. I had previously been purchasing my shoes at a different local retailer.
I’ll never go back.
I still ended up buying the shoes because I feel like it’s a way of paying for the service of the gait analysis and fitting, but I’ve never left a retailer feeling so poorly about myself.
We went through the entire fitting and I was shopping for a couple of other things as well. After a half an hour or so of talking/​trying/​running/​fitting the salesperson said to me, «well, if you actually run as much as you say you run.»
I’m sorry, but I wasn’t there to prove myself to you, I was just answering your questions. I also know I may not «look like a runner» or whatever, but I really have no reason to lie to you. I was just there to buy some shoes…

I walked into this store with question on pedometers or fuel band type devices. I wanted to learn more about their events, too.
The store was cool, decorated great, loads of running magazines and pamphlets for upcoming runs.
John was the fella I spoke to, he was very helpful and informative. The clothing and shoes were a bit pricey, but it’s performance gear and it’s a running store, so I was not surprised. I am a bit of an amateur. I am fit and enjoy running at the gym, but I am no die-​hard. I want to learn more and get out this Spring/​Summer. They host a lot of events and that is very cool. I will try one of their events or runs. They seem legit.
Garmin has a fuel band VivoFit at 130.00. Unilocal has a 10% off check-​in offer. Maybe I’ll invest in a tracking device here, I still have Christmas Money.
