Fore River Gallery showcases the work of four artists who run it cooperatively. The works range from paintings, to ceramics, to jewelry, to dehydrated bugs arranged artistically around little objects(really). I walked in and got the full rundown on the place from the woman working there, who was the wife of one of the artists. She was friendly and talkative, and we ended talking about places we’ve lived, as well as the art itself. I walked away with an little bracelet made of orange stone skulls by T.J. McDermott., the artist who does the bug stuff. I also particularly enjoyed the paintings of sunsets and trees by Mike M. Marks, but $ 5,200(for my favorite one) was too rich for my blood. The gallery is very approachable, very unpretentious, and has a great variety of nice pieces to explore. Check it out.
