This place rocks! I’ve had the Paul Bunyon and Hercules — both are yummy. All the salads are hearty yet still healthy, and SOTASTY. I recommend you add the garlic roasted almonds to your salad for $ 1 — adds a nice crunch and extra flavor. Also, tip: You can order a regular-sized salad(Monster) but add only a small-sized(mini) amount of protein to it. It’s a bit cheaper and still filling.

A little pricey once you’ve added protein or additional veggies, but very fresh, and quite tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat here again.

Sooo yummy! A new favorite! The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. I had the mucho taco wrap with chicken, avocado ranch and peppercinis(by suggestion of the staff). I loved it, and it was huge! My girlfriend has the Cobb wrap, with turkey and avocado, it too was delicious! We will definitely be back :) Thank you Garden Monsters!

Wow! Great, fresh food and service with a smile! I ate the mucho taco salad with avocado and santa fe ranch. I got the larger size in plans to save some for later… that did NOT happen! It was SOOOOOTASTY that I couldn’t put my fork down! My fiancé had the Paul Bunyan with steak and avocado ranch in a large wrap. First of all, it was HUGE!!! You truly get the good stuff here. The steak was seasoned wonderfully I kept sneaking some from his wrap. Haha, this is the place to eat at! There are other food carts, but no need to go any further! We will be back very soon!

The breakfast wrap with Macho dressing was super filling(stuffed with 3 organic cage-free eggs) and crunchy with tortilla strips. Grab a hot sangria from a neighboring truck for the ultimate weekend brunch fun.

Large meat+salad in a bowl. If you’re a man who can resist the heavier trucks in this pod, or if you’re a gentle woman who eats gently, this is for you. It comes off touchy-feely-healthy — so much so that I had to specifically ask if the meat was real or not. I thought it might have been one of those hippie vegan trickster-meat spots. Nope. Real meat. Real flavor. Real goodness. Prep time seems to be a while though.

So I’ve been here twice and the first time I had the Paul Bunyan salad with their balsamic vinaigrette and the second time I had the macho taco and they’re both so good and fresh. You don’t want your salad to end, it’s that good. You can taste that they use coconut oil to cook their protein and potatoes which I really really like. Their menu has a lot info indicating what’s vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten free, dairy free, or sugar free options, it’s so awesome!!! This truck really caters to everyone’s diets and it’s so satisfying.

This is a solidly decent food cart. They’re salads, nothing too special. When you don’t want the«heavier» food that many carts sell, Garden Monster is nice and fresh.

Honking large-ass salad. I know I can’t be the only one to say that, or am I? I’m certainly not stating anything new to those of you who have eaten at any Garden Monsters location. Granted I also got the larger of the two salads. I gotta figure that even the smaller option is still a decent meal for anyone. Hidden within the food pods on Division is Garden Monsters. I’ve seen their locations on Alberta and down at the South Waterfront and decided, yeah let me eat healthy today, for a change. Salad is healthy, right? As long as it’s not drenched in a cream based dressing. Good thing they had a vinagrette that I liked. So I went with a Cobb salad with turkey and a balsamic vinagrette. Egg, bleu cheese, house made croutons, mixed lettuce, black olives, tomatoes. So far so good on the healthiness, all in one giant metal bowl that could have fed two string bean vegetarians(well besides the whole turkey in the salad thing) or one healthy person like myself. It was done up fast and fresh and the dressing was great. I really liked the croutons and the large chunks of turkey. It was a good choice on this day. The ladies running the cart today were friendly and asked how everything was when I returned the metal bowl. As I said, it’s a huge meal, and if you aren’t up to the task, stick with the smaller option or try a wrap. Although they could be huge as well… I’ll find that out another time. Enjoy.

The Paul Bunyan salad was quite a disappointment. The roasted potatoes were raw in the middle and the salad dressing had no flavor.

A wrap sounded pretty good for lunch but boy I didn’t know what I was in for! I did a build your own wrap. I did spinach, mushrooms, red peppers, tomato, avocado, vegan chicken bits, red onion, and vegan ranch. First off it was the size of my head. Absolutely massive. And idk how he did it but the wrap was grilled and it was folded in a way that it didn’t come apart the whole time I was eating it! Usually wraps sort of fall apart and make a huge mess but this was easily the neatest wrap I’ve ever eaten. I usually avoid imitation meat products but I’m so glad I went for the vegan chicken. It was awesome! Really flavorful with a great texture. I gave a piece to my bf to try and he was super impressed by how similar to real chicken it was. I went here expecting something good but I got something excellent. Nice work Garden Monsters. You make a mean wrap that kept me full all day.

OK, as promised I went back. I actually talked to the folks working there and asked they make sure to give me fresh lettuce. They explained that the bad lettuce was caused by the extreme heat(I get that, I’m in the HVAC Biz) and new employees that didn’t know any better. The salad was delicious, very well worth the price… oh yeah, the lettuce was fresh. Thank you Garden Monsters, I will be back.

Yummmmmy Salads! And you canbasically do whatever you want, which is great. They have the mini size and the monster size. i got a monster Macho and I thought it was more than enough food for me. I think it would adequate for someone else though(I tend to eat less than most I guess). And it was delicious! I made it a carnivore, one of their recommendations so it added pork and Santa Fe dressing. First, the dressed was Vegan(they have a non-vegan option) but I loved the dressing, so good! Second I didn’t like how it made my $ 6 salad to $ 9.75… I guess pork was $ 3.50 extra… I would’ve done chicken if I had known before hand. When making your own salad you get limits as to what you can put into it, and if you want extra they’ll charge you extra. It can range from $ 0.50-$ 3.50 extra per topping depending on what you get. The menu is totally confusing. I definitely spent a good 10 minutes staring at it trying to figure it out. I’m not sure how they could simplify it more though. they have a lot of options. GREAT service and staff. Simply wonderful. I can’t wait to come back for a quick Salad!

Great Salads. Had the Hercules, which was, as the name suggests, a powerful half divine, Greek style salad. Portion size was perfect – yes Olivia, salads are a meal – and I was lovin’ it.

Bummed out cause this used to be my to-go cart. I live just down the street and Garden Monsters serves great salads! I’m typically not a salad eater but these are pretty yummy. I’ve stopped coming so often because the wait for a salad here has started getting pretty long. Demand for salads seems to be pretty high on weeknights, they are usually one of the busiest carts but I’m talking 20 – 25 minutes for a salad — which when you just want to pick up something quick for dinner is pretty long to wait. Last time I went there they forgot my order. This time they burnt the breadsticks(the girl took a look at them and sorta winced, they musta been too busy to offer to re-do em), and threw a bunch of blue cheese in my macho taco … a mexican salad, which was pretty gross. Anyways, sorta disgruntled at this point and think I’ll find somewhere else as my go-to. Although, I admit I’m pretty addicted when they get it right, so I’ll probably stop in when the line dies down.

Anyone that doubts the potential deliciousness associated with a good salad, should visit Garden Monsters. For a modest charge and short wait, you get a great tossed salad exactly as you want it, done right. I started with the Hercules with steak but there are really a lot of fantastic options here, both with meat and without. The ingredients all were quality, with no wilted greens at all. Everything was mixed together well and the steak was nice and hot while the salad was still cold. Recommended to vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.

it’s a win. nothing crazy fancy, just a great salad in a bowl or a wrap. the menu is a little overwhelming but the staff is more than happy to help you through it. they are honest and sweet when it comes to telling you if what ingredients are in your salad are fresh today or not. the avocado wasn’t ripe the day i was there and they were straight up about it. this is what true seasonal and fresh food looks like! a mini in a wrap is a perfect size for one. and they have options to fulfill everyone from meat fan to vegan. it reminds me of pita pit in college but way healthier! give um a try at the least. good food cart area if you decide you want something else.

I never thought I could ever love a salad as much as I love the Paul Bunyan! The first salad I tried here was from their NE Alberta location, it was the Hercules. It was amaze balls but man the Paul Bunyan(with grass fed beef, avocado and their avocado Ranch dressing) was just insane to the membrane. Being a health freak and organic everything lover, it’s so nice to have a cart that offers both! I came here right after a massive work out and I literally inhale my salad. That said, it’s pretty filling as well. I don’t give out five stars often but this place sure deserves it. This might be my to go to for my post work out meal! Till next time
