Greenway Pet Clinic

I have been going to Greenway Pet Clinic for several years. Dr. DeRose has been wonderful with my dogs. He goes over and above what most vets will do in terms of explaining things and spending time with my dogs He is a very knowledgeable and caring vet and his fees are reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

We recently moved to the area and our two dogs needed flea treatment and vaccine updates. My wife selected this clinic because it is conveniently located near our residence. I was concerned because of other ratings but found the staff to be very good and the cost to be comparable to our previous experience elsewhere. Dr. DeRose was very thorough with exams and explained everything in great detail. He recommended additional services but did not «hard sell». It was unusual how much time he spent for this service compared to other clinics.

Well, my Mr. Kitty stopped eating and only wanted to sleep. I called and they saw him the same day. He had a fever so of course Dr. Derose did a thorough exam. He also drew some blood to try and find the source of the infection causing the fever. What I liked was he said he wanted to do the minimal testing as to not charge up a large bill. AND they did all the lab work on site instead of having to send it out to an outside lab and wait for results. He outlined a reasonable plan if the antibiotic fails and we need to switch to another one. And again, he explained everything so I could understand instead of rushing me out.

Very disappointed in the business practices at this clinic.
DO NOT sign up for the «puppy care plan» and expect to pay the amount quoted. There are hidden costs, which won’t be disclosed until the day of your appointment.
When I brought up the discrepancy, the woman working behind the desk a) gave me a guilt trip, b) became defensive, and c) was unable to produce the original document I’d agreed to.
Even though my dogs booster shots are technically free (according to the ‘discount plan’), I’ll happily pay out of pocket to take my animals to a place I can trust.
The one star represents the sweetness of vet Patti Smith — we really liked her, so this review is a shame. I wonder if she’s aware of her clinic’s practices.
Extra super bummer this place didn’t work out, cause they’re just around the corner from us, and I really appreciated the convenience.

I have been taking my cats to Greenway since I moved to Murrayhill over four years ago and they always help my kitties to be the best they can be!
