I live in Saint Helens… they are in Tigard… I wouldn’t take my Mercedes anywhere else. I can’t leave it, unless I have my husband also drive there… which we have done more than once, so, I often wait for them to work on it… I love my car… it’s not new but it as good as new thanks to Pat and Mike… honest, genuinely good businessmen…

Quite simply the best European car garage in town, if not the best garage period. Pat and Mike have a genuine passion for what they do, and go out of their way to treat their customers right. My family and I have been going here for over a decade. They’re speedy and quite reasonably priced (European cars are never cheap, but the brothers take a lot of the sting away.). One look at their yard and bays and one notices that European cars of all vintages and makes are worked on. From Porsche 911 turbos to humble Mercedes diesels, to classic Rolls Royces, they know their stuff. My mother has her CLK serviced by them, and I’ve used them for work on a 500sl as well as a 300CE. I try to do as much of my own work as possible, but when I do not have the time or the know-​how, the vehicle goes to the Hartmann’s.

I’m always pleased with Hartmann Motors. I’ve been going there for just around two years. They are honest and do a good job.

I owe these great guys. I owe them my peace of mind when it comes to car repair. My little German roadster loves the easy confidence I have in this auto shop and my bank account shouts Ich lieber dieche any time I need maintenance or repair or someone who will give me their honest opinion about my zippy auto baby. Located at the top of 217 in Tigard, it’s a little hidden, but for a tasteful sign and a lot full of German engineered vehicles. Avoiding the $$ at the dealerships, I deftly swing in here with total confidence in the qualify of service amd even further impressed by the very reasonable size of my bill, the speed at which I am back in the driver seat and, well, everything!

I’m not one to give 5 stars unless a business is truly exceptional. Well these guys are!
I was on a road trip with my kids and on Labor Day stopped at the auto parts store next door. Jumped back in and my SUV wouldn’t start. The nearest Benz dealer sent out roadside assistance and after several hours and a trip back to the shop still couldn’t get it going and wanted to tow it back to the dealer. They were rattling off major $$$$ worth of repairs and said it would take several days. Well being 200 miles from home and having a broken car is frustrating, but being told several days to fix just made it worse.
Mike happened by and suggested he could get it going much faster and much cheaper. Shortly thereafter the tow truck driver showed up and with the same recommendation. In a way it was quite fortuitous to break down where we did instead of 500 miles from nowhere.
They were working on it first thing Tuesday morning when they reopened after the holiday, had the no-​start problem fixed AND fixed the airmatic suspension for far less $$$ than I expected (and a fraction of the dealer price) and had me back on the road early that afternoon. Fixed fast, fixed well and affordably. When it comes to car repairs what more can you ask for.

Mike and Pat are the best. They are courteous, honest and always willing to help you. Even when they’ve been incredibly busy, if I was having car problems that they thought were extremely pressing, they have fit me in.
Their prices are more than fair and it’s so nice not to have to rely on the dealerships for help. It’s true that they never do anything without authorization and I’ve always felt confident in their work. Highly recommend.

This company is based on standards that one seldom sees in today’s world. They are honest, forthright, busy and still have a moment for a jest! I was referred to them by a client of mine eons ago… bought my next car through them… a client had a car for sale… and I became friends with the seller as well! They are attentive to business! They know what they are talking about. I keep their card in my wallet and when I meet a new friend who has a MB or BMW, I share! Cannot say enough good things about them! I have been going to them for over 14 years… and would not consider any place else! They never do anything without your approval… and they recommend when things look ready to go… as in fail! They are really wonderful, competent men!

I brought my 99 BMW here once for a maintenance repair, and asked them to look into a second problem I was having. I ended up having them do the other repair as well. They weren’t pushy, didn’t ask me to do any further repairs other than what I asked them to do, and the cost was very reasonable. This is exactly the experience I wanted to have, especially as a woman who knows little about cars. They seemed friendly and honest. I’ve felt cheated before at other shops, but will be happy to take my car here in the future.

This place was highly recommended, turned out to be the worst thing that happened to me. My car died and I had it towed here, after checking the engine he called me and said it was the head gasket and would cost 3000+, I said okay let’s do it. After 3 weeks Mike called back and said «its our fault, its not just the Head Gasket, its a whole engine.» And it would cost $ 6000+. Haha, what’s a joke. And the worst part, If I want to tow the car out of the shop, it would cost $ 1500. Don’t get it fix or check here unless you want to get gang up by the twins.

These guys are great if you have a European car. They are dependable and find ways to save you money without sacrificing quality. They will let you know the cost up front, then do the work as specified. I highly recommend Hartmann Motors.

I’ve been taking my smart car here since I bought it four years ago. Hartmann is owned and operated by brothers so you are supporting a great, local family. They have always treated me professionally and with respect. Their prices seem fair, they send out oil change reminders, they can get me in within days of calling for an appointment (sooner when it has been an emergency rather than routine maintenance) and they are kind enough to shuttle me to and from work when required.
