Really strong hands, and rock steady. Benjamin’s work reminds me of my friend, Spyder’s who does incredible deep tissue shiatsu. His music was really interesting, too. I feel totally relaxed and ready to face the world. Thanks, Benjamin!

Benjahmin is amazing! I could literally FEEL every knot move out of my body as he worked his magic on my shoulders, neck, and back. He’s very polite and attentive and asked me multiple times (but not too many times) throughout the massage if the pressure was just right. I almost fell asleep because it was just soooooo relaxing!
Hope to see him again the next time I’m in Portland. Thanks so much!

I’ve been going to Benjahmin for a couple of years now, and always have a wonderful, relaxing experience. As other reviewers have noted, he has a rich and varied therapeutic skill-​set. I go for general relaxation massage — I rarely have a specific ache or ailment — so I’m pretty open to a variety of techniques. My sense is that he seems to try out something new almost every time I see him, and it’s always good! But he always asks up front for what I’m looking for, and on the few occasions I have had a specific concern, he has always tailored the session appropriately. He clearly loves what he does, and he’s great at it! I highly recommend this practice.

Benjahmin is a fantastic therapist. He is kind and considerate, and easily adjusts his technique based on how you are feeling. His deep tissue is OUTSTANDING. He intuitively pays attention to what your muscles need at that particular moment. He also can do amazing pressure point massage on the feet as part of the treatment, which I love. Therapist always seem to ignore the feet, hands, and lower arms; Ben excels at this.
The studio is nice and clean, music selection tasteful, not corny. The only negative is that at some point, the massage must end. Quite honestly, the best massage in town!

What an experience. What a kind and thoughtful therapist. Benjahmin is gifted, intuitive, strong/​gentle, and truly present. He asks, listens and performs magic. I like very firm deep tissue along with Swedish and some light stretching. At the end of the session, the only feedback I could offer was, «Book me for next week. Do exactly what you just did… wow.»
I went in a stressed computer-​hunched techie and left as one at peace with the world (with nary a kink or creak). This guy’s that good.

Professional, present, and skilled, this guy is a rare breed in an overcrowded field of Portland LMTs. On top of it all, his space is right on Hawthorne and 29th, mega central, plus only charged me $ 30 my first hour session we had! I only wish the massage table had arm rests– almost was gonna give it 4 stars for that, but he was that good I just couldn’t.
