If you have never experienced Honey Baked Ham you are in for a tasty treat. High quality, lean and the real deal not any chopped and processed meat by product. We used to have Honey Baked Ham at Thanksgiving but now with the cafes you can have it anytime. They offer full, half, quarter or by the pound slices of this baked ham goodness. They also have the ham condiments such as the different kinds of mustards and sauces. So if you are having a ham craving you can take home a couple slices for dinner. The café also offers side items that are pre packaged and ready for the microwave or oven. Side items include mashed potatoes, sweet potato soufflé, green bean casserole, gravy, au gratin potatoes, cornbread dressing, orange walnut cranberries, Mac n cheese etc. Don’t forget the desserts like coconut cake, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake. Etc. This café also offers soups, salads and sandwiches. I ordered the ham & swiss on a croissant and it had the honey mustard on it along with lettuce and tomato. It was very good except they could of put a bit more ham on it. Very tasty though! 2015 – 83

I have been here 3 times for to-go lunch time orders as I work across the street. All 3 times i have asked for sandwiches and every time I get back to my office to find out they made me a pita instead! It’s almost comical at this point.

Founded in 1957, with this vibrant locale open in spendy John’s Landing in the same place for forty years(!), What is about Honeybaked Ham that seems part Elvis, part retro fabulous, part I-know-better-so-why-am-I-doing-this, and all bleepin’ awesome? As a teen, I had an employer who would give all his employees big ass honeybaked hams for Christmas. Talk about a way to score BIG points with family and loved ones— go ahead and bring a honkin’ huge Honeybaked ham home for family dinner. See if you don’t score bookoo brownie points your own danged, honeyglazed self. The John’s Landing dine-in features offer a surprisingly diverse menu. My group loved their salads, I enjoyed the turkey salad, sans dressing, w/plenty of super moist ‘n’ tender chunks o’ white and dark meat. There were a variety of sandos that clobbered each and every one of our collective appetites, the friendly girls @ the counter round out somre pretty darn fine overall dining experiences. Honeybaked, may your improabable, incongruent, anachronism of an existence, continue into perpetuity. Can I get a big olé Honey-glazed«Hell Yeah!» up in heah???

Last week, while I was staying in Portland, I decided to come to this Honeybaked Ham for an actual lunch on my first day of vacation. Over the course of my two-day, one thousand mile drive from the smog-infested city of Los Angeles, California, I hadn’t really enjoyed a good meal in a few days, so I was absolutely thrilled to discover there was a Honeybaked Ham in Portland. Finding this location was incredibly frustrating. I had already lost count of the number of miles I had driven that day, so driving another twelve miles from my hotel at Portland Airport to come here was nothing to me. Anyway, I saw a big Honeybaked Ham sign inside the parking lot at the corner of Macadam Ave and Boundary Street, but I couldn’t find the restaurant itself until I walked down Corbett and recognized the smell of glaze coming from one of the windows. Took me about five minutes. As I was looking at the menu trying to decide what to eat, I told the cashier how embarrassing it was for me to be so indecisive considering I work at a Honeybaked Ham back home. At the end of my order, and to my complete surprise, the cashier gave me an employee discount for my meal despite not having any proof whatsoever. Even now, I still can’t believe she did that for me. My turkey salad salad was so delicious, albeit a little more meaty than I was expecting, and the entire meal was fresh and well-prepared. If I ever come back to Portland, I’m definitely going to stop here again — with or without the employee discount!

Quality has been gone down over the past couple months. The blonde girl did a sloppy job made my orders. Three times I did not get my order right.

Love their hams, used to hate going there. I went there on Christmas Eve at noon. I’ve been there before in years past and their business was as close to dysfunctional as it gets, but this year I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, they didn’t even lose my order, a norm in the past. I think they finally got decent management or something.

Like a well oiled machine, I serve Honey baked Ham on Easter. This year I thought I’d do a Fred Myer ham, my family thought not… so, down to the honey ham market we went. The day before Easter. All I was picturing was a line out the door, as I have witnessed on the news and in person on a drive by one year, at another location. I had never been to this location, I am used to the Kiosk at Clackamas Town Center, in and out no lines. When we pulled up to the Water tower building, I thought my husband was lost and asked, are you sure there is anything in here? I was not a lone, a lady pulled up behind us and asked if we knew where the honey baked ham place was, she had been driving around looking. They had a Disneyesque que line snaking around and there were about ten people ahead of me. They had a couple of sample tables while you were inline, score for the low blood sugar suffers. From the time I got in line to grabbing our sugary little pig, it was less than ten minutes. Impressed. They had plenty of people working so it was moving. There were plenty of people in there eating, too. it is a cute quaint little spot.

I’ve never dined in at this Honeybaked Ham, but I have had a couple to-go experiences that I think deserve review. The first time I was at work and could feel a cold coming on. So I decided I needed tea, but the coffee shop next door was closed! Oh noes! So I checked this place out, and when I saw they had tomato soup that day I decided to have that as well. It took a little longer when I expected, but when I got back to my workplace I was pleasantly surprised that they had thought of everything I would need! In addition to my soup and tea, they included some strips of bread and lemon slices for me. How sweet! The soup was pretty decent, but had a bizarre after burn from some extremely potent black pepper. It wasn’t bad, exactly, but it was unexpected! A few weeks later, after having experienced some sort of pre-diabetic coma after not eating all day, I made the resolution that I really need to eat at work. I needed food in a pinch and headed here. I ordered their cheesy potatoes, a drink, and a cookie for less than $ 5. Color me impressed! The cheesy potatoes were pretty damn good with generous chunks of their ham, and it was filling for the small serving size. I didn’t even need to cookie after all! I have heard some bad things about this places food, but from my experience the place is decent, fast, and cheap. I’ll definitely be returning.
