I work for a humane society in Oregon that can’t help everyone, especially animals that affect our «herd health» meaning with communicable diseases that could potentially infect other animals in the same community rooms. We have had wonderful experiences with House of Dreams who has taken on animals from us that have great lives waiting to be lived, and the accommodations to safely house them. They serve cats with special needs like FIV, FeLV, and other medical concerns, and they house them safely within their own communities. I am SO grateful. The volunteer who visited said the shelter was wonderful, clean, caring and a great place for cats to live. I am so glad this exists in PDX! consider adopting a special needs cat from House of Dreams, volunteer or making a donation; they do great work!
