In The Groove did a wedding for a close friend of mine in Portland and I just had to give them a shout out, even though I didn’t work with them directly. I can’t tell you how many cheesy wedding DJs I’ve come across, which made this a very pleasant surprise. Impeccible music selection, professional demeanor, and everyone had a great time — even amid a group of admitted music snobs. I don’t think I left the dance floor all night and I wasn’t subjected to any typical wedding music traps — YMCA, All the Single Ladies, etc.
Theron, aka Theronious Chunk, is a real gem in a business troubled by too many phonies with CD mixers. If music is an important part of your wedding experience, as it should be, then this is the company you want to hire.

First off. I have worked with a lot of DJ’s and this guy was the most professional and punctual DJ yet. Not to mention the music selection was PERFECT for the event.
Theronious Chunk played our 2 year anniversary event at Brooklyn Industries. We had no equipment, which wasn’t a problem cause he had his own set up, which sounded great. He showed up EARLY to set everything up and was ready to go way before the event started. He played great tracks that got people moving but didn’t distract from us selling. I know for a fact that evening went way better because of him.
I have seen him DJ out around town a couple times and it always sounds great… Consistency is Key.
