I’d love to give this place something other than one star, but that would require them to actually be open at some point. I’ve gone well out of my way to visit their location while visiting from San Diego my last two trips, only to find them closed. This last time, I was one of several groups of people standing outside, peering through the glass, wondering why this place isn’t open when they say they are. Seriously, you can’t get someone with keys to show up for the five hours a week you’re supposed to actually be open? I’d previously called and left a message with questions about hours for a tour, as mentioned on their Distillery Row site, but never got a call back. I don’t know if they just suck at running a business, or if it’s «cool» to be laid back booze place that just opens when they want to and don’t return phone calls… but I’m not inspired to make a third attempt to visit them. Kind of bummed out because I’ve been excited about their Trillium absinthe and have wanted to try it… and this is the only distillery on «the Row» that presently offers an absinthe. All the other happy reviews just make it worse… why couldn’t that have been ME inside, enjoying their libations and meeting the super friendly staff and owner. WHY, INTEGRITYSPIRITS, WHY?!

Came here as part of the PDX Pedicab Distillery Row Passport tour. Thrilled to try absinthe for the first time! I’ve always been curious, and though it takes some effort to prepare it, I can see why so many are in love with the stuff. YUM! They’re cash only… so hit the ATM and come prepared to leave with at least 2 different bottles. Probably more.

Places like this make me love Portland more and more. I had no intention of going to Integrity Spirits but when I left Green Dragon and saw Integrity’s sign boasting free tastings, I just had to go in. Free spirits tastings — you’d have to be insane to pass that up. The lady at the bar was super friendly and walked us through a great flight of their spirits: Lovejoy vodka, hazelnut vodka, gin infused with cucumber, and Trillium(their absinthe). These are mighty fine, high-quality spirits that taste delicious on their own. My favorites were the gin and the Trillium. The Trillium already has sugar in it, so you only need to add water to make a proper absinthe concoction. As we were completing the flight, the owner came over to chat with us. He’s a really cool guy who obviously loves what he does. He even opened up two of his specialty flavored vodkas from his Sub Rosa line. One was infused with saffron and the other with tarragon. Not flavors you would think to put with vodka, but they worked. And I don’t care for either of those spices in cooking. But put them with vodka and I’m a believer. My boyfriend and I walked out of there with a bottle of gin and a half bottle of absinthe with big grins on our faces.
