Jack In The Box

Maybe I’m starry eyed because there are precious few fast food places in the midwest where you can get a taco and a burger in the same order. But yes! I have now been to a place where I can get both. And I did! This place was fine, quick service at the drive thru, and food was hot and tasty. And now I can tell you, tacos and burgers do mix. One piece of advice to you, though, on the way out don’t try to take a left out of the parking lot. There’s a median there. Oops. Not that I did that or anything, just heard other people made that mistake.

So I was in the car as my friends were ordering food in the drive through and the order taker, Sebastian, was quite rude as they were ordering. When we came up to the window he exclaimed «oi vey» in frustration in front of us a few times and kept sighing. He proceeded to give us the wrong size combo meal after we paid for the large and he gave us a medium. I’m not sure if he was just having a bad day, but it is not acceptable to be rude to customers just because you’re grumpy. We will not be back.

I have an intolerance to dairy and this fat guy, whom I asked at least three times to put no cheese on my order, still got cheese on it. He replies with «ok no cheese» twice. Giving this a one star… but the second star is for the sandwich still being bomb after taking the cheese off. Every other chain gets it right I don’t know what’s wrong or who’s responsible but it pisses me off. I’m writing this while eating and the bottom half of my fries aren’t god damn curly fries. Currently in rage. Knocking off that second star bitches. Y’all have a good day now.

Terrible drive thru service. I had to repeat my order 3 times and I think the lady was pissed because we ordered a lot of food. The worst part is, she wasn’t even pretty. This is why I’m voting for Donald Trump. She also overcharged us but we don’t even care tbh

I like Jack In The Box, but do not like this location at all.
My girlfriend and I ate here before and I had a very large piece of egg shell in my sandwich and the sauce in her burrito tasted like mustard, but we didn’t have time to complain.
A couple of days ago we figured we’d give it another shot. We had to wait longer than normal for our order and when we got home to eat both of our sandwiches were wrong (not just made wrong, but they made the wrong sandwiches). We went back and explained the problem and told who I assume was the working manager the correct sandwiches we ordered. She had the sandwiches remade, but one of them was still not the correct sandwich.
She showed us on the receipt that we were rang up wrong, so we told her that wasn’t what we asked for. She had a little bit of attitude and clearly didn’t listen to us the first time we told her what sandwiches we ordered. No authentic apology was ever given or any disappointment ever expressed.
Also, the floor in the kitchen was very dirty.
Definitely do not recommend.

Saw their commercial for the buttery portabello mushroom burger and it looked good. Bought one for myself and my husband. 1^st of all I asked for one to have grilled mushrooms and one with out grilled mushrooms, got both without. 2^nd the mushrooms were rubbery, couldn’t bite into them. 3^rd the cheese was rubbery and 4^th even though there was garlic butter on the hamburger the burger was tasteless. I had three bites out of it and threw it away. Definitely will
stick with McDonald.

Something I like is options, which Jack in the Box generally provides in spades, fast-​foods-​wise. This one, though, tends to tease me with the illusion of options, which even when I’m not hangry isn’t something I enjoy. What do I mean by that? Lemme give you some For Instances.
For Instance 1) Mango smoothies? Awesome! I’ll take one. Oh, sorry, the machine is «broken» (for 7 months ’til eventually they remove it from the menu).
For Instance 2) A chicken teriyaki bowl? Rare for fast food. Delightful! What, you don’t have any rice? Uhm… k…
For Instance 3) Thanks for taking my order! Excited to eat my food! Here’s my money! See ya later… (back at the farm) aw MAN they totally left out half of my order!
For Instance 4) Iced Tea! Refreshing! It’s so hot outside, I’m gonna take a big swiiiiiii — e-​e-​eeewww! Why does this taste like cold coffee ground water? Again?!
So. I like Jack in the Box in theory. But this one is super inconsistent, doesn’t seem to have it quite together, and after two years of trying (I’m not a quitter, guys), I’m kinda over spending my lunch dollars on the illusion of food.

Ok… I’m a creature of habit. BREAKFAST biscuits is my weakness at fat food… I mean FAST food joints and that Jack had one of the first I got hooked on.
But I have a small beef. I mean, it’s a small biscuit. And you can never tell what price they are. Jack is so busy making hilarious TV commercials (well, funny the first 125 times you see them), he doesn’t seem to have TIME to put the price on the menu board at the drive thru. (minus one star)
I have a penchant for those 2/​$ 3 specials. One bacon, one sausage. Lucky me, they are on sale TODAY but the cashier has no idea when this «special «will end.
Smallest portion of the others (soon to be my first «LIST») but tasty biscuits. Unlike some of their competitors, clearly an egg filling.
WARNING: Do not eat these while driving. While the biscuits are good, they explode into crumbs on first bite. Very messy, tasty & no doubt unhealthy.
Now I have to find a car wash vacuum self serve. And DO NOT turn left onto Pacific Hwy when departing the drive thru. THAT will be in my review for the Tigard Police Department.

Horrible customer service, The last 6 times I have gone there my order has either gotten messed up or not made it into the bag somehow. The employees have smart ass attitudes and I’ve called management and they say they will notate a free combo or whatnot well 4 times now and it’s not happened yet. So now as I am home with my 7^th order guess what it’s missing some of it and made incorrectly. Happy dining!

In my opinion, Jack In The Box is waaaaaaay better than McDonald’s or other fast food burger chains in Portland. I like their Jalapeño Stuffed Poppers, French Fries, Sourdough burgers, and shakes. Service was fast & friendly. Jack in The Box you get my fast food love.
