Jiffy Lube

Let’s face it, if you’ve been to any of these drive-​in oil change businesses you’ve had the same experience, up-​selling and pushy sales pitches to get you to spend far more then you drove in to spend. Not so much here.
I had a nice, frank chat with the main guy that helped me. He called himself a Preventative Maintenance Engineer because they are there to help a vehicle owner with more than just changing the oil and filter every 3000 miles.
This Jiffy Lube my wife and I have been coming to for many years because they treat us fair and without any of the usual high pressure sales you might have experienced elsewhere. The «Plus» in the name now means they offer far more machanical services then your run-​of-​the-​mill oil change place .
There were 6 levels of service, from just a standard oil and filter change all the way up to synthetic oil, full inspection and top off of everything including the kitchen sink if you had one. I went for their Signature Service with regular oil. This included a full inspection, top off of all everything and they even vacuumed out the inside, $ 38.99. There is free top off service on everything between my next oil change too. My air filter was absolutely filthy and I had them change that for another $ 17.99.
They made other preventive maintenance recommendations in person as well as on my receipt.
The only minor complaint I would have is that when you are shown the six options on the smallish computer screen, it is rather a lot to see and mentally digest.
Overall I’ll be back and was happy with the service I received.

My boy friend has had ok experiences here in the past, so he encouraged me to take my car here for a basic oil change. He told me you just have to be clear and firm when you say NO over and over again to all their «up selling». He came with me and we THOUGHT the oil change was ok until we went down the street to the auto parts store. When we opened the hood to change the air filter (at the auto parts store) we saw that my car hadn’t been put back together. Caps were off and hoses were dangling. Even the auto parts employee who was helping us said, «Wow. Holy Shit. How could they be so incompetent? and careless?! Good thing we discovered this right away or you’d be a the dealership/​mechanic getting things repaired and replaced.» When we went back to Jiffy Lube the employee acted like (said) it wasn’t his fault and like it was no big deal. He accused me of doing it myself to try to get a free oil change. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager said HE didn’t do it so he wasn’t responsible for any of his employees’ actions; he said that they never compensate unhappy or displeased customers by refunding their money. I will never ever go back here and I tell everyone and anyone who will listen to me, the story of how I was treated at this Jiffy Lube. If you can take your car anywhere else, anywhere at all, including the local high school shop class, you’ll get better service and more respect/​consideration there, than at this place.

They have a young guy standing out in the rain holding a 21.99 sign. That’s fun advertising.

This place fucking sucks! They over charge and have terrible customer service. They are the worst car place I have ever come across.
