Just a fantastic shop! The shop styling is eclectic and classy. So full of eye-candy, textures and glorious historical stuffs… much of it leans nicely toward the French and Asian persuasions. Statuary, shabby tables, demure inlaid chairs, taxidermy, crystal, gilt, gold, feathers, and some great art in the basement, too. And, yes, there is that AMAZING chandelier…

This is pretty much the best antique store in Portland. It’s run by a very charming mother and son team, and they have a great eye for decorative antiques. Their prices are completely reasonable for the quality of the pieces that they have, and they have a LOT of stuff! Probably the most impressive piece in the store is an enormous chandelier, a full 8 feet in diameter, that truly acts as the centerpiece of the store. I think they said it came out of a department store circa 1930 or something like that. At $ 21,500, certainly it’s not for the faint of heart(or wallet), but really, go find another one! For those of us with a less extravagant budget, they have all kinds of unique furniture pieces that are decorative and unique as well as practical, as well as tons of mirrors, lighting, smalls, and a few choice pieces of ephemera. Don’t miss the basement, where they have lots of garden statuary(including a totally adorable raccoon statue for a mere $ 65), much more lighting, and ots of other random, intriguing objects. A very fun place to explore, well worth the trip down to Sellwood.
