I landed in Portland around ¾pm on a Saturday. we were staying at the Marriot Waterfront, and looking for food that was in walking distance of the hotel was no joke. Everything that sounded appetizing was closed. Thank goodness I stumbled upon Laughing Planet! Honestly, I’m fairly impressed with this place. I only tried their vegetarian quesadilla and it was enough to impress. Absolutely delicious! I loved that the tortilla was crispy too. The ingredients were fresh. Also, I didn’t feel disgusting after scarfing down a whole quesadilla like I normally do. The food was healthy, and didn’t give you«I need to run 10 miles after this» feeling. Don’t forget to ask for their cilantro pesto! YUMMZ. The food was so good we decided to order a bunch to go for our friends to try too! Overall, this was a great place for some healthy munchies! I would recommend it!

Had the Paleo Bowl and gotta say I expected a bit more portion wise and otherwise. Wasn’t bad and wasn’t good. It was like pretty okay. Kinda spicy! I like that it was healthy and that they have a lot of other healthy options inspired by different cuisines… so I guess what I’m saying is, I want to try more of their menu. Particularly, I would like to go back to try one of their smoothies! But yeah, still on the fence about this place.

Ok honestly, this usually my go to hangover burrito place besides El Nutro. After a night of celebrating my bday, my partner picked both of us up some burritos. Holy do you ever strain your beans batman!!! As soon as I unwrapped the first layer it was soaked in blackbean goo, not a cute sight when it was running all over my hands. Seriously guys what happened?

This is good place to have fresh healthy crafty food. It’s a mix actually of some ethnic food. The service is fast and have a friendly staff. i love the cuban bawl :) even it’s not genuine cuban;)

while I applaud their selection of organic and healthy foods, their kitchen needs to expand their ability to use spices. the Bollywood bowl was bland and looked just like it tasted, a freezer vegetable meal. the chicken burrito lacked any great flavor and the mole sauce lacked any taste. if you are more concerned with where your food comes from over how it tastes, come here. I am updating my review to 3 stars though as they are definitely willing to give you your money back if you are unhappy in any way and are open to critiques as a sign states, but I saw the sign only on the way out and did not have time to go through the review process with them.

Really really good! Had the Paleo Bowl, but with tempeh to make it vegan. Delicious! GF had the seasonal Autumn Bento Bowl. Also delicious! And the marionberry ginger smoothie was super refreshing. It doesn’t quite hit the same spot as my beloved Café Gratitude in LA, but it fills the same niche excellently. We’ll be back tomorrow for sure!

Nice, healthy place to go to. My friend and I love the quesadillas but the bowls are just as awesome!

Super impressed with this place. Healthy food, unique options. Great stop for the hipster foodie. Aside from the food, the staff is wondeful. You can tell they all genuinely like working here. Very courteous and professional. Not something you are used to seeing in such a young staff.

Perfect for a starving gluten free and vegan! It’s one of the more affordable gf vegan places around here. I will definitely become a regular. Love it!

Nice spot for a healthy lunch. I had the Paleo Bowl with chicken and it was delicious. Because I didn’t want to make it completely healthy I added an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie; also delicious. The place had a good crowd with some nearby choices so they must do well. The specials board was a little confusing to me and I heard others asking questions so I was not the only one confused. I will likely return next time in the area.

Tried this place for the 1st time as my new job is a block away. First thoughts were: Pros: Good atmosphere Good menu selection, lots of options Cons: Price! $ 10 for a chicken burrito… yikes! Received my order and if a chipotle sized burrito is a 10, this was a 5. Flavor was bland, not sure if they minimize favors for dietary reasons but it tasted like plain grilled chicken. Overall 2 stars for good(not great) food and atmosphere with a dock on the score for your crazy prices. Prices alone would draw me to other local stops unless your food was so good to keep me coming back.

This place is a great for a quick lunch or a «I don’t wanna cook dinner» kinda night. There are numerous flavor options and you can get your ingredient delivery system the way you want it(bowl, burrito, wrap, quesadilla). The goods are local and I have thought everything I’ve ever gotten is delicious. They have specials that are interesting. The service is efficient and generally friendly. Order at the counter and take your number for delivery to your table. This particular location gets a line out the door at lunch, so calling and ordering ahead is a good idea.

Yum! Good destination for fast-but-not-bad-for-you food. Kale salad was delish, although could’ve been bigger. Cookies and agua fresca are good, too. I’ll add this place to the lunch rotation.

What a hoot! I came in right after the lunch rush and got a quick bite to go! Service was friendly and the space was much larger than I expected. I am looking forward to coming back and trying it again. I got a full meal for less or about the same as some meals in the food carts, which is amazing. I guess busing your own tables keeps things nice and cheap! Keep up the good work!

My go-to meal is the Cuban bowl with added tempeh, and the marionberry-ginger smoothie. Always good, fresh, healthy food. Consistent and friendly service. Great options for someone like me who is health-conscious and is both allergic to gluten and lactose intolerant.

For those avoiding gluten — quick rundown. Many gluten free options in the rice bowls, soups and salads. However, this is best for the gluten intolerant who is not so sensitive. For the Celiacs or those sensitive to cross contamination, you’d best avoid this place. I asked about it beforehand and was assured everything would be done to avoid cross contamination, but I did get sick from eating here. So I would not recommend it. However, the food was fresh and it tasted fine enough, so if you are not overly sensitive, give it a try.

Great burritos, nice staff, healthy, and priced right, of course it gets 5-stars! I love their Black Bean and Spinach burrito. One thing that makes Laughing Planet so good is their McDonald’s-like commitment to consistency. I’ve probably eaten 50 of these over the past decade at multiple locations and everyone of them has been nearly identical.

Okay, I just demoted a star because… They skimped out on my rice or they just simply forgot because I don’t have any in my bowl whatsoever. I ordered a Korean bbq bowl again cus I was actually craving it. Walked home, opened my container, and voila! NORICE. WHEREISMYRICE?! So I basically paid $ 10 for some meat, a few pieces of broccoli, maybe a spoonful of slaw, and like 3 cucumbers. Cool, thanks to whoever made my order. Sincerely, A very hungry and angry customer
