Ok, they’ve been consistently better about their orders, although sometimes things do fall off… but I make special requests a lot so maybe thats my problem. Anyway, eat the Chopollo Burrito(first one under burritos on the menu, with steak picado and chili rellleno). I’m having it right now and its so amazing…

The Trio burrito is delicious. The food is fast and fresh. I highly recommend calling it in for pickup to avoid the parking nightmare at PSU for more than a few minutes.

carne asada taco salad with a side of beans and rice was killer. meat is spiced perfectly and something as simple as beans and rice was made deliciously. all for $ 7. felt like I was stealing.

I was waiting for a food cart to open this morning and thank you Chopollo for being open @ 9AM! I was starving and they saved me. I ordered a breakfast burrito and asked for avocado in it. They didn’t even charge me extra for it, they just took my order for the same price. That is giving good customer service. I can’t stop eating here. It’s literally my go-to burrito spot. I’d support a small food cart business any day.

I went here for the first time today and it was great! I ordered two chicken sopes and they were a lot larger than I was expecting! Salsas they gave me were awesome too!

Keeping it simple; Martin(Marteen) has been a consistently producing darn good food for years now. Even his Chapollos burger is one of the best downtown! Comment on the review by Tristia V: Martin makes three excellent salsas, Rioja(red), Verde(green) and the #3, quite spicy. The only time anyone gets catsup at Chopollos is when you order their burger, and then it comes in packets.

This was the first time we visited this stand as a result of Unilocal reviews. My husband and I had veggie burritos. They were very large and a bargain for the $ 5.00 each price. We had the choice of black or pinto beans, we both had black beans. The food was delicious, the sauce Both green and red were both very good. We will definitely eat here again.

Their bean and cheese burrito is my go-to, I can’t think of anything I want to eat and I know I’m going to love it lunch. It’s big, plenty of beans and cheese, and their red salsa is perfectly spicy. Quick and pleasant service and very affordable.

Best taco salad I’ve had! I walked over here for lunch and it was delicious! Just the right size and only $ 5. I don’t know what they put in the beans, but they were so good. Will definitely be coming back!

Chopollos is hands down my go-to Mexican food cart whenever I’m around PSU campus/south downtown. I usually just stick to 3 tacos, but the taco combo plate is on point too. I like the whole pinto beans with melted cotija on top. Meat: — I usually stick to carne asada, as compared with other carts it has a way way deeper flavor — Al pastor is super juicy, if I’m getting 3 tacos, I’ll throw in 1 pastor — «Chopollo taco» is real good if you like barbacoa, and it has a different sauce from the others Portions and price: — Tacos are $ 1.50 each — so pretty standard pricing for a taco truck. That said, they for sure could be charging more considering the location(lots of professionals frequent this stretch of food carts). — The portions are huge for the price. Compared to most other carts they give double the meat. Also all tacos come with pico de gallo and a slice of avocado on ‘em in addition to the standard cilantro and onion.

Was my favorite food cart until they gave me food poisoning. I wasn’t right for 2 days. I missed one of my tests because of them and got a B instead of an A. Don’t eat the chicken. You have been warned.

When I start my day off with a classic breakfast burrito, all hot and meat-filled, I know that everything’s going to be alright because even if it isn’t I can just close my eyes and daydream about that morning’s eggs, potatoes and bacon(along with some green sauce for lube — optional if you like it dry) and be transported back to the deliciousness. Would have given a fifth star if the potatoes weren’t a bit on the raw side too often. I eat here almost daily(covers gut with strategically placed handbag.) Everyone’s been friendly and efficient. The price is right too!

3.5 stars! You know what they say… The closer to Mexico, the better the Mexican food! And coming from someone who’s lived in California her whole life, this is pretty decent Mexican food! I’ll start off with the salsas, 2 stars. Nothing spectacular here folks. It’s bland and mild. :( Now the food! I’ve ordered the nachos and tostadas here. Tostadas are my favorite, besides carne asada fries! Judging from these two, they are very generous with the portions! Two tostadas make me VERY full! The meat is tender and seasoned quite nicely, but the only thing I don’t like is the amount of lettuce they put on top. Anyways, cheap food. Generous portions. Decent food! I’d make sure to have some tapatio or cholula sauce at home :)

$ 5 burritos! So cheap for the amount of food you get! I got the pastor burrito and it comes with rice and beans. I also asked for sour cream and it was free of charge. I tend to open up my burritos when I eat them(from the inside out, weird, I know.) and all the ingredients were so flavorful, the pork was tender and juicy. note: you CAN use a credit card! There is an extra 35 cent charge though.

I had my hopes up for the chorizo breakfast burrito; if you’ve seen some of my other posts, I’m a sucker for good chorizo. I got the chorizo con papas but ordered it without the papas, which they gave me anyway. There was quite a bit of potato, which is exactly why I ordered it without, because it takes away from the chorizo. I also didn’t get enough cheese :(gotta have cheese on a breakfast burrito. The people I was with really enjoyed their food and said I should give them 4 stars, but one of them also got an incorrect order. I would have definitely given them 4 if I had more cheese and no potatoes. Other than that, it was good and I would recommend it.

So after years of consistent service, this once-great cart has slowly slipped into average. The burritos used to be a huge value, but now the size is barely enough to fill you up. The quality of the portions has also taken a hit … Green Chile Burrito used to be my goto lunch, and used to come loaded with shredded roast … now there are just a few slivers in there. Damn shame … RIP Old Generous Tasty Chopollos

$ 3 bean and cheese burrito will warm your stomach and your heart. Pair it with their avocado salsa and I’m in heaven.
