Lesser Park is one of those little surprises that comes up sometimes in life. It is right next to PCC Sylvania, perfect for a tad bit of exercise. To get there, you exit the bottom floor of the CC building and then hike downwards on a path which includes a track. Inside a small opening of trees at the bottom of the small hill, you’ll find the park. It is fun and exercise is of course encouraged. I walked into the park not knowing it existed, yet still knowing that the overall area is beautiful. The paths are mostly wide enough and can actually be fun for a bit of jogging. Watch your step, but it is not too dangerous. Although the beginning made me think there’s not much and in going down it simply led to a set of residencies, I soon would find out that this isn’t the case. Turning left on the big path meant that there was so much, that I didn’t even complete the trail. There are creeks to cross over past the construction and it wasn’t until a small hill that I stopped. Be careful not to wear white pants, as I did proceed with and got dirty. It is a very beautiful park with tall trees covering it, typical of the Northwest. The inclines are not too bad and that is some fun for being near a college. It’s natural formation varies in an entertaining way. A student needs a break to exercise the body for the mind, the likes of which is this park.
