I went into this store because I wanted to see if they had a hat I wanted, but turned out I had to preorder it which I was fine with. While I was filling out the order sheet, the cashier asked me «What mix are you?» Wtf?! I have never been asked that in my 24 years of life. What does it matter what ethnicity I am?! I’m a customer. How would it feel if I asked that employee «What mix of black are you?» So stupid. I feel that was such a rude question to ask and borderline racist. Never shopping here again.

Worst customer service ever! Not greeted upon walking in, took maybe 5 minutes until I was asked if I needed help looking for a size. It was the older man, really rude and no manners. I was trying on a few different hats and almost came to a decision to buy it until I heard him say to another employee, «hey man, put these hats back in order, you know people be coming in here putting them back out of whack.»
Wow! ya, he just said that out loud enough for me to hear, so I left.
How about next time you try to say hello, and ask if you could help me then I wouldn’t be messing up your display. I suggest taking your business to Just Sports or shop online!

Manager is the worst PR person in the world. This man needs some serious additional training in how to treat customers. Doesn’t bother me too much, I’m rather skilled at dishing it right back.

Remember what I said in my Lids review of their Washington Square location: «Unfortunately, Lids seems to trust nobody in the world with trying on their hats, so you must inquire about having the zip-​tie cut from the rack. I think this is the dumbest thing ever, considering the fit of two New Era hats labeled to be the same size (and shape, i guess) is like comparing two snowflakes — most likely, they’re gonna be different. I’m not sure ballcap retailers have caught onto this theory, though.»
So, imagine how displeased I was with the Jacquizz Rodgers look-​alike behind the counter who gave me a mean stare for asking to try on a second Philadelphia Phillies hat. It can’t be that frustrating to cut just one more zip tie and take only one more hat off the rack, right? Also, my Lids club card was denied. Double whammy at this location.
