Lloyd Center Dental Care & Cosmetic Center

I went to Lloyd Center Dental today for a cleaning, compliments of a friend who bought the Groupon but could not use it. First off, the office staff was super accommodating when we called to ask about transferring the Groupon. When they gave me my reminder call on Monday morning, they kindly let me know that the appointment would last approximately 2 hours. While that seemed like an awful long time to be getting a cleaning, they did start the appointment on time and finished with about 20 minutes to spare in that 2 hour window. It made it very easy for me to adjust my day and plan accordingly.
My initial thoughts of seeing a new dentist brought a little fear to my mind and I was not put at ease by the knowledge that they are located in the mall. The office is thankfully not located near Forever 21, instead they are on the 3^rd floor of the mall (who knew that even existed?) surrounded by many other medical offices.
Once my paperwork was completed and entered into their computer, Carolyn, my hygienist for the day, escorted me to my chair. She was very friendly, thoroughly went through my history and asked me follow up questions to my sordid dental past. She proceeded to take x-​rays, old school film style, and then began her probing… of my gums of course — get your mind out of the gutter. Not too long after all of my margins were cleared from the dreaded periodontal disease diagnosis, I met Dr. Bangsberg. He too was extremely friendly, but in a genuine way, not the smarmy used-​car-​salesman way that we all fear from a dentist. After a brief tour of my enamel laced whites, he gave Carolyn the all clear to begin the scraping, flossing and polishing of my grill. She proceeded with a knowing and steady hand to gently but thoroughly scrape, vibrate, wash, suck and scrub all traces of the Lovejoy coffee that tends to stain my smile.
It was a very pleasant dental experience and I would recommend Dr. Bangsberg and Carolyn to all those that need a sparkling, gingivitis free mouth.
