I was so surprised when I walked into the store this evening. There were three woman or should I say girls working, not one greeted me and when I asked a question about a sweater I felt like I was inconveniencing the salesgirl. Reality check girls if you are that miserable maybe you should find another job. Very unpleasant experience.

I was reading the only other review for this store and agreed with every thing she wrote. And then I saw that was from 2010 and to think here four years later the service still sucks…

I’d like to grab a giant megaphone and remind the ladies working at this store that 1) they are Ann Taylor Loft. Not Neiman Marcus. Not Bergdorf Goodman. Not any of those fabulous meccas of fashion and snooty behavior. 2) Saying hello and actually helping a customer is a good idea in their line of work, and 3) they’re lucky that there are not a whole lot of other choices in the Portland area to find a cute, inexpensive *insert item of clothing here*. Staff is sucky. Clothes are cute when I’m in a pinch, but my patience runs thin Ann Taylor Loft of South Portland!
