This household goods store also has a small collection of clothing. The space is filled with small wood carvings and Southwest-inspired blankets and throws. You can find jewelry too. Very solidly curated store!

I’m actually surprised I haven’t already written a review since I consider Lowell my favorite store in Portland. Any piece I have bought here I love and use all the time. The esthetic is very similar to my own but so much better. They have the perfect balance of vintage/antique and new art/home goods and it’s very well curated and merchandised so that everywhere you look there is something interesting. It’s nice because they’re close to Beam & Anchor so you can have a double whammy sort of shopping trip and maybe stop by Widmer Brothers while you’re at it. The #1 reason I love this shop are it’s owners, Maya and Dino. I don’t get out to Portland that often but when I do they always remember me and are so genuine, kind, and easy to talk to. It’s not even about customer service, it goes beyond that because they’re just good people. I’m excited for the next time I get out there and what treasures I’ll find.

I had just finished exploring the North Mississippi area and decided to dip down towards the river and over towards the SE. Just on the other side of the Widmer Brothers Brewery, I encountered one of those cool Portland business blocks that merited further exploration. Lowell Portland looked interesting, so I stopped in an wandered around. This version of curated antiques and artistic items has a bit of a Southwest feel. They also do fun stuff like art shows and store swaps(the latest being with Nationale). I also like the funky historical building and enjoyed talking with the friendly shopkeeper. I ended up with a few gift ideas, and a cool little First Nations coin purse. Lowell is definitely worth a repeat look.

A collection of found objects and artistic endeavors. A space to explore and get lost in. Every item in the store has been carefully considered for display. The owners are constantly finding new items for the store so there’s always a reason to come back every few weeks. They also have art shows about every two months.
