Maid Organic PDX

For our last house cleaning, I had to bail on my usual cleaning service because we needed service on Saturday, so at first I was pleased that I came across Maid Organic PDX. But my wife and I were severely disappointed when we came home. Lyn is a terrible cleaner and an even worse businessperson. The kitchen counter tops weren’t cleaned well and, worse of all, there were hairs left on two of the three toilets and in two of the three sinks. It was the worse bathroom cleaning we’d ever seen. I took several photos and sent them to Lyn to show her how bad of a job they had done. She offered to come back and «remove that one strand of hair I left in the back of the toilet.» After such a crappy job, having her back was the last thing we wanted. A cleaner who doesn’t care enough to clean off all the hair shouldn’t be cleaning other peoples’ homes. So I asked for some money back, which was not forthcoming. I continued to text her to find some sort of arrangement, but she ultimately blocked my incoming calls and texts so now I have no way of getting a hold of her. A true class act! You should ignore the positive reviews on Unilocal… I trusted them in this instance and I really regret that I did.

As a busy teacher and mom I didn’t want to spend my Spring Break cleaning. I never had my house professionally cleaned and decided to giver Maid Organic a try. I couldn’t have been happier. My house was clean and I could spend my Spring Break having fun with my family

We use Maid Organic for our office cleaning and could not be happier! The detailed cleaning leaves our offices fresh and sparkling. The difference is amazing. Regular cleaning gives us the time to get right to work without the hassle of having to spruce up the place prior to meetings. Its just clean and ready to go! Thanks Maid Organic!

I see others weren’t that happy, but I had an excellent experience with this company. They have come twice to my home (basically I’m one of those people who only have cleaners come before guests), and they did a great job. They were punctual, thorough, pleasant and well-​priced. I’ll definitely work with them again, liked them much more than some of the other cleaning services we’ve had in the past.

I used maid organic a three times because the owner Lynn was so nice the first time I met her. Unfortunately she is very unorganized and never returned calls or emails. She quoted me at around 60 $ after seeing my small bungalow and even emailed the quote but then kept trying to charge me 100 $. I forwarded her the original quotes and she never responded. Then she came knocking in my door and left a note looking for her money even though shed never actually given me a bill except for emailing me her «adjusted» price. I paid her what she quoted me. She seems like a nice person and the cleaning was on but she’s very unorganized and should not run a business.

Maid Organics cleaned our house for several months and I was never satisfied with the results (except for one time, which I’ll touch on briefly). The house was never cleaned that well, in fact, they had to come back on one occasion to clean some things that were so basic that it’s shocking they missed them. But, even when I didn’t request that they return, the cleaning was always very poor. They would move things around deliberately (changing the orientation of throw rugs, the order of pictures, etc) in an attempt to make us believe they’d cleaned thoroughly. The only time the house was expertly cleaned was the day they asked us to fill out a survey. When I mentioned this to the owner, Lynn, she said it was simply a coincidence.
I enjoyed Lynn over the phone and even when I met her in person, so that is why I decided to hire her company. However, she was extremely difficult to get a hold of. The times that I had to call her voicemail was full (for days at a time). I also would try to contact her via email and she would take a long time in responding or would not even read what I wrote. There were a couple of times that I had a change and she wouldn’t read the email or tell her people, so they never got the message.
Also, we had a new cleaner each time, which tells me that turn over is high at this company. I realized too that Lynn charges a lot. I’m willing to pay more for non-​toxic cleaning products, but I recently interviewed (and hired) a new company and they are charging me the same price for three hours worth of cleaning as Lynn did for two.
So, although the cleanings were never terrible (except on a couple of occasions when they were highly unsatisfactory), I think you can find much better service, at a lower price, with a company owner who actually cares about your business. When I told Lynn we’d no longer need her services she responded by saying «I hope you had a great weekend! Thank you for the update.» I think she cares very little for her customers or her business.

I moved into a new apartment recently that needed a LOT of deep cleaning attention. I just couldn’t do it all alone. Lynn and Wade arrived on time, stayed late, and were a total blast! They were incredibly respectful of my space and went an extra twenty miles to make my new house a home. The detail work Wade did on my super old and grungy kitchen appliances was truly remarkable. .. they were a different color when he started! Maid Organic PDX did a great job for a GREAT price. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them without reservation! They were also super fun and nice. ..

There were so many «Green» cleaning companies when I began my search but this company really went the extra mile. They didn’t just use non-​toxic biodegradable cleaners, they actually pay their staff more for taking the bus/​light rail, carpooling, etc.
They couldn’t have been more friendlier or more detail oriented! I am very happy with them and have been using them since 2008.
