This is an average McDonald’s that I eat at nearly all week. Normally the food is average. Which I have kind of come to expect from them. I normally don’t even have to ask for it fresh, and I’m fine with that. But this last time I tried the new Mcpick 2 for $ 2, I tried 2 mcdoubles, because what a deal right? When I got them it tasted like it had been sitting for hours, and if it hadnt, then they didn’t cook it right because it was one of the worst tasting burgers I have ever had from them. Aside from that experience I will still continue coming here but probably will ask for fresh more often

Joel is a freakin gem! I am so embarrassed to admit this but I forgot my wallet in my school bag. He was so understanding, I came up with 4 $ in change and he offered to cover the rest with his own $ saying I have 3 $ in my pocket, I understand no worries. It was so sweet and kind, I especially needed some kindness today as I have a terrible cold… His kindness is not something you find everyday. Promote this guy! :)

You don’t expect much from McDonald’s(which I must admit I do love a good double cheesburger every once in a while), so this rating isn’t for McD’s as a whole, but for this location in comparison to other establishments. Simply, my burger was halfway falling apart when I opened the wrapper… in comparison to other McD’s, I’ve had better. Suggestion to management: please provide proper patty centering training to your employees. I want you to see me smile!

This McDonald’s is okay. Contrary to the feel that it may give, there is competition among Starbucks and Barbur World Foods. Still, this location is one of the few truly convenient places in the local set of blocks which are mostly intended for cars. McDonald’s is nice because they give you a cheap thrill at a low price. My journey after a walk for physical education class took me here. I enjoyed their extension of breakfast hours. Things are cheap and it was what I’d expect. There is a bus stop in close proximity, along with Barbur Boulevard Transit Center, also in close proximity. Beverages are a dollar. McDonald’s is not Thomas Keller fare since that is not the argument.

This quiet Sunday morning after Christmas calls for some frivolous reviews to occupy space and help pollute Unilocal just a tad bit more. I’ll have to manage doing so through the sleep in my eyes. This is what I would call the PCC McDonald’s. It sits at the intersection of Barbur Blvd. and Capitol Hwy., the latter of which continues down south about a mile into PCC(Portland Community College). Thus, this McDonald’s is very easily seen from this major SW Portland thoroughfare. However, access is another issue. Going north on Barbur, it’s no problem. Going south on Barbur, that ample left turn lane for Capitol Hwy., as it turns out, is NOT to be used by cars. However, if going north on Capitol Hwy. from PCC, they allow making a Houdini-like left turn to get onto southbound I-5 ramps. I’m tellin’ ya: the living is easier in Clackamas County. I was going to give this McDonald’s 4 stars. It’s centrally located, it is open 24 hours, there is sufficient parking, there is real cross section of folks, such as PCC students, meat eating granolas, drivers from all over navigating Barbur Blvd., folks speaking Asian languages or Arabic, and, lastly, the non-indigenous palm trees in their landscaping. However, on occasion, I’ve gotten newer people at the counter, requiring that someone looked over their shoulder. There was this one guy who even once addressed me «dude» and, each time he waited on me, failed to say thank you. I worked at MickeyD’s for 4 months when I was 16. Back then, your ass would have been out the door faster than you could say Jack Robinson for that brand of customer interaction. It was very funny; however, it was also very inappropriate. One of the managers is always very good-natured, though. Mostly, this McDonald’s is about the«recession food» specials, the newish strawberry pie, and the palm trees.

I wouldn’t normally review McD’s so favorably, after all I sort of consider going here a bad habit I can’t seem to break 100%. But I did stop by for breakfast when my home kitchen was out of commission and I have to say this is pretty nice for a McD’s. It’s very large, clean and the manager fixed a problem on my order in a very good way which greatly impressed me. So if you can’t help yourself, well this is a good branch.

My 18-year-old Son and I stopped in on a recent Saturday evening. Actually, he ordered, I paid, and then I went over to Round Table next door to order a healthier(maybe) flat bread pizza. And this McDonald’s is what you would expect, no more and no less. The fun part for this Dad was watching the young woman waiting on us flirt with the Kid(who was wearing a t-shirt that said«talk nerdy to me») and him flirting back. Or to quote from a McDonald’s advertisement jingle — I’m Lovin’ it.

Ok, I get it, «How can fast food be great? It’s fast food.» Let me tell you, the service at this place was phenomenal. I was late for work and needed a coffee and a snack. Literally every single person I talked to said good morning and was bright and cheerful. They repeated the order back to me for clarity and confirmed it again at the window. Three fabulous employees completely changed the way I felt about my train wreck of a morning. It’s amazing what a smile and a good attitude can do.

By far the worst McDonald’s that I have been to in terms of service and food. Staff gives off negative energy and bad attitude… maybe bad management? Cold coffee and food presentation is just horrible. Also… it’s playing sex music while we are dining at 10:15am…(Sex Therapy-Robin Thicke)…wth.

I’m sure you’re familiar with the food. This franchise has a playland and 24-hour drive-thru. Reasonably friendly staff, but the drive-thru setup is frustrating in that they have 2 ordering mics –forward and back– and consistently require orders to be placed from the front. The frustration is that the front post has only a truncated menu, which deprives me of all the mid-order hemming and hawing I normally enjoy. Plentiful seating and good light inside. The staff are friendly and efficient. The play area is dominated by some magnificent slides. It is seemingly always in a partial state of repair, and the video game terminal is often on the fritz. They host an outdoor Redbox kiosk.

***Cheat Day*** The one day out of 3 weeks I can eat fast food would be the fries with no salt. Why no salt? Because they are made fresh to order. Out of most fast food chains they have the best cut fries. Also depending on the location you can make a cheap and healthier version of the Big Mac for a buck! How? well you can order a Mcdouble add lettuce and Mac sauce making a cheaper version of the BM depending on location they will probably charge .30 cents for Mac the sauce. Still cheaper. Also less calories because one less cheese and middle bread of the Big Mac.

I had my last Sausage Egg Mc Muffin here. It was my last because now I’m a proud vegetables eater. I’m a Vegetarian and I couldn’t even believe it. Anyway, if you are still in the junk food diet, this McD is dependable and they have friendly service.

As far as McDonald’s go this particular location is A-OK and that is for a number of reasons. For example, the staff is kind enough that I don’t ever really feel bad about feeding myself their high quality«food»…that is until later in the evening when I fall into a high calorie coma. Also out of my many goings I’ve only once experienced what I would consider a treat that stayed under the heat lamp for too long. Indeed I’ve often been offered the opportunity to wait ‘just a few minutes’ in order to get fresh fries. I suppose that I should also mention that the bathroom is usually clean.
