Delightful place! Wished it was here when I lived in the neighborhood. Wonderful selection of tea, knowledgeable owner, and really, tasty food. Nice atmosphere. We came for afternoon tea, and I would be back every week for breakfast had I not moved away.

This place is just gosh darn cute. I live in the neighborhood and drop in with my partner once in a while. I usually order Julio’s breakfast bowl and a cup of tea. They also make waffles, a few types of sandwiches, salads, smoothies and pastries. The pastries look quite tasty but my dairy allergy prohibits me from trying any. My favorite thing about going is here is that you get to be super fancy and pick out your own tea pot and tea cup.

Group of 5 ladies had tea here a couple of weeks ago. We ordered this, and had quite a bit left to take with us: — 2 Tea Time Platters: with mixed berry scones, smoked salmon tea sandwiches, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, egg salad sandwiches, cucumber mint sandwiches, roasted turkey sandwiches, berry crepes, and chocolate covered and regular macaroons The food was really good, and portions quite generous. We had these teas: — Lemongrass — Hawaiian Blend — Purple Leaf Tulsi — Earl Grey Lavender — 2nd Anniversary Blend(blend of black and green teas) To me, the Anniversary Blend wasn’t too spectacular, but we all thought the Purple Tulsi Blend was quite good. Interesting flavor, tasted«rich» and«foodlike» — hard to describe, but good. Cute teapots and cute timer to let you know when to take your tea out. Nice place!

Love this place! So cute and the ladie that helped us was so nice! We loved being able to pick out our tea pot and cups plus the tea was so delicious. Definitely will come back here again soon!

NOT kid friendly. I took my daughter, age six, my son, age 4 and my niece, age 7, excited to experience a «real» tea party. Upon walking in, we were rudely asked what our purpose was. Um, to get tea? We were then informed there were no available tables. When I pointed out that a table was in the process of paying their bill. I was advised it would take several minutes and«there are lots of things to break» so we should come back in 10 minutes. Needless to say, we did not come back, instead heading down to Fat City Café where we were greeted with warm smiles and delicious food.

I had lunch at this quirky little place a week or so ago. Although it’s a tea house, they also have a pretty nice and simple menu of a couple of soups, salads and sandwiches, quiche, or maybe frittatas, that all sound great. I had a delicious bowl of soup along with two small, but big enough salads. The coleslaw is different but really good. My chicken tarragon salad was delicious, and could have been presented as a sandwich as well. I have gone back once since my first visit, and decided upon the vegetarian sandwich to go. The sandwich was very tasty, but I would have preferred a better bread. It came on your basic grocery store«whole wheat» — tasty, but I prefer a more rustic bread with some chewiness or texture to it. Needless to say they take their tea very seriously and have a really fun selection of teas, tea pots, tea cups, and a platter full of absolutely delicious looking tidbits to nibble on while enjoying your brew of choice. I’ll definitely be going back to experience that at some point in the future. A really nice addition to the village.

Such a great space! Beautiful light, comfy seating, cute mug selection and some delicious food. If you can’t make it for tea, which is one of their specialties, come for the breakfast. The food is good but the space juat makea you feel so cozy and happy that it all tastes even better! Love the cozy touches of trivial pursuit carda on the tables, the homey feel, and the choose your own teacup area. I would love to go back!

This British tea place, Medley, is a good contribution to Multnomah Village. There are better British teahouses out there, though. Medley has entrees, snacks and dozens upon dozens of kinds of tea. Also, on the contrary, try some tea places that take a page from the far east in the metro area sometime. The décor is true to form, without being over the top. It was afternoon tea that I came for. I had a small pot of the four seasons oolong tea for four dollars, and it filled several small cups. For another four, I had the cucumber mint finger sandwiches, which were good. The place is a bit crowded, with the big tables crowding on each other even with low concurrent patronage. Also, the service raises some issues since it took awhile to be able to get out, despite being one of very, very few customers at the time. This is just really cliché.

Such a cute, cozy little tea house! I took my best friend there to celebrate and we were not disappointed. The teapot/cup selection is extensive and adorable and you can buy too many things! The food was fresh and delicious and bountiful. We ordered the sampler tea platter and couldn’t finish it. I hate American scones and ended up inhaling my cranberry orange«scone». Tea was superb, my one criticism and the reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that the wait staff is easily flustered and doesn’t know the menu. I ordered the white lavender tea partially because it says on the menu that it is VISUALLYAPPEALING. I was really looking forward to the pretty tea flowers and so told her to use whatever teapot was appropriate; expecting a glass teapot. I know they exist! I was brought a heavy, HIDEOUS white teapot. They were confused by my request for a glass teapot and tried to convince me the leaves in their steeping tray were pretty. It was a small swap. I’m not sure what that was about but next time I will just pick my own bloody teapot, I guess! Would definitely go there again but frankly hope other people are working…

I’m updating my review because the problem I cited before has been resolved. It heartens me to think the owner or server in question may have read my concerns here on Unilocal and actually made appropriate changes. I don’t know if that is what happened or not, but I’m glad I went back and tried it again. I like everything about this place. It is a lovely place to meet a friend and enjoy something good to eat and drink. Great prompt and friendly service.

Two days in a row! I’ve found my new favorite place, and would take up residence here if they’d give me a bed and room for my dog to run around :). The owner Kayla remembered me by name, and thanked me for coming back and bringing a friend. They graciously let my friend and I stay until after closing time while they cleaned up, and we enjoyed a sinfully delicious brownie sundae. So many cute teapots for purchase! I can’t think of enough nice things to say about Medley. I hope it stays forever!

Well here is the story our waitress was REALLY slow and when she brought my breakfast she forgot half of my plate. Not realizing this I ended up paying full price for half the food. I was already in the car before I remembered I had potatoes with my breakfast. Curse myself for being honest and paying for the $ 5 pot of tea she forgot to put on my bill.

Medley is so awesome. One of the best teas I have ever had is the rooibos earl grey. You can buy it in bulk and bring it home with you. They are super busy @ high tea time. It’s a pretty cool little place.

Went here with someone who really wanted a variety of teas to choose from and old fashioned clotted cream with their scones. There are a lot of teapots here in this cute place! Service was slow but it was kinda busy for a small place and didn’t get to choose our own teapots as the waitress seemed flustered so I minus a a star for that but the food was good.

The afternoon tea at Medley was terrific! My daughter and I ordered the Medley platter which was more than enough for two… A sweet and savory combination. My favorites were the salmon and cucumber finger sandwiches, berry crêpe and chocolate hazelnut scone. The platter also comes in a gluten free option! You can pick your own teapots and cups. It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon with a friend or two. The tearoom is located in an awkward spot on Capital Hwy so parking is difficult, but this is the only downside.

Wall to wall tea sets, quirky salt and pepper shakers, and collage of décor that reminds you of grandma’s country sun room. But seriously the food and tea here is great! Seems like most items are made in house from scratch with love like your Ma would do, if she is sort-of fancy with the sandwiches. Only reason this gets 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost is a touch high for me. I paid $ 10.50 for soup and sandwich. This won’t stop me from returning but I’ll be open to trying other cafés in the Village.

So like a bear who hides out in a cave all winter… I seemed to have missed out on Unilocaling and a whole lot of fun. With work projects taking up 50-plus hours of my time(and weekends — where I like to turn off technology and really enjoy nature, wine, and peace), my presence to Unilocal this year was abysmal. I am back now with more time, food for thought, and a few great reviews for 2015. I am on it despite being in a small accident last week while heading to a Unilocal event. I see the light and am excited about better times. You know it’s bad when fellow Unilocalers have to be Helpers in finding out if you are alive and on the grid. Well, good news is that I am back. hooray, now on with the review. So as a reward to completing a long and hard work project, plus pity for my accident, my mother and I thought having tea was a sweet treat temptation. We simply indulged. A week ago on Friday(March 13th) We ordered chai, and had their tea time sampler platter which included everything. Everything means a scone, lavender Cookie, egg salad finger sandwich, salmon finger sandwich, raspberry crêpe, blueberry tea bread, cucumber mint sandwich, and chocolate bread. This platter was massive. For about $ 13 a person including tip and tea, this was well worth it. I felt like I was on a mini vacation. The restaurant was a bit warm inside and our server was wearing shorts which wasn’t very professional. Otherwise, we had a lovely time. The owner encouraged us to come back on Multnomah Village’s first Friday night to sample more tea and treats. Thumbs up, loved this stay-cation in the city. It was a rare delight. Pictures to come shortly. Our tea pot and timer were also very fun. We were able to have our water filled up again and again which was nice since our pot was small. Great place to have tea time. I will be back.

Medley is a great little Hideaway in Multnomah Village that I frequent often. Large Tea selection, Gluten Free and Organic Breakfast/Lunch options, and a Variety of Fresh made Scones, always served warm. It’s a mismatched sort of place, where you get to pick out your own teapot and cup. If you’re lucky, you can snag a spot by the window, but if not, there’s always the few armchairs available. A great place to sit and do Homework, unlike the Starbucks up the street; unless you find Chaos calming. The only noisy thing about this place is the hushed chatter of Elderly Women… I recommend coming here on a rainy afternoon, ordering a large pot of Mounthood Sunrise, and hunkering down with a Good Friend or a Good Book.

After eating heavy food for lunch, we wanted a light refreshing herbal drink to sit and relax. I was little disappointed cup and dish did not match, obvious from all made in different countries(England, China, USA) but that’s just me. Probably wouldn’t bother most people, but being able to choose my own matching set would have been nice. We waited 15 minutes but waitress never came back, but facility was full so we just got up to order. Rose tea with cream sounded good, and it arrived promptly. Fragrance was uplifting and surprisingly went well with cream and sugar. It was a nice way to unwind before getting ready for two more appointments to finish up the day. I did not see any other male customer but I think it’s gender neutral. I don’t visit this area often, but this will be a good place to socialize with my friends. Will go for Masala next time :)

How excellent it was to sit in Multnomah Village sipping tea in the style of the isle. Such a warm cute place with great tea options with all the tea snack accompaniments, and a full menu should you need more food. You get to pick your own tea pot here and cups which is a nice touch. The service is friendly and attentive. The warmed scones with berry compote and cream, and the lemon tea bread was excellent. My only gripe was that they use infusers in the post vs allowing the tea to move free which I feel creates a better brew even at risk of over brew but I bet they might let me dump mine into the pot properly if I asked, and left a tip for the dishwasher that has to deal with getting them out heheh If you love tea you need to check this place out!
