Bud is fantastic. He built a laundry room on our upper floor and installed our kitchen cabinets and appliances, including venting the Microwave into the chimney. He is willing to be the GC or to work around any subs you might line up on your own. He also has a very good rolodex and can line up the right people for electrical, plumbing, tile or just about anything else. He is always on time and communicative. He is a creative and practical problem solver. He is respectful of people’s homes and always leaves a clean job site. I would not hesitate to recommend Bud to anyone who has a home remodeling job, small or large.

Bud did a flat out wonderful job on my bathroom. His subconractors installed waterproof hardiboard on the floor and in the bathtub surround before installing the tile, which was done beautifully. The paint was applied evenly with no gaps or spills. On top of this, he wanted $ 1500 less than other contractors I spoke with and used nicer materials than they offered. As if this wasn’t enough, he is a nice guy who’s genuinely pleasant to be around. He’s my contractor of choice from here on out.

We had our bathroom surround replaced. Bud tore out the old tile and removed water-​damaged wall. New Hardi-​Board was put in place, and his tile guy installed new tile. We also had him select and replace the bathtub fixture. We are very happy with the work performed and will call him again for any future projects.

Bud is a great contractor, this from a person who has chosen bad contractors before. Bud has been along with us through kitchen remodel, and then a bathroom remodel. Funny, clean, courteous, full of information, and very helpful all the way through the projects. A big factor is that Bud is a great problem solver, he is a fixer. We would recommend him to anyone.

Bud Bedell, owner of Mighty Handy, is an honest, dependable and knowledgeable contractor. He came to us highly recommended. We hired Bud to oversee our bathroom remodel. He was easy to work with and provided excellent guidance to help us find the best options for our project. Bud did most of the work himself, but when he subcontracted for plumbing, tiling & electrical needs, he chose all the right people. He stands by his work, striving for perfection. Best of all, his prices are great!

Bud put in a new bathroom in what was a dormer space upstairs and rearranged the kitchen. He and his crew did a fantastic job. Both look great. Bud is a very nice guy and was willing to work with us to find the best options all along. He kept the place clean along the way and kept the project moving along despite some complications that were out of his hands. We are very happy with his work. Highly recommended!

After dealing with a ton of flaky contractors, we were really glad to find Bud at Mighty Handy who did a superior job rebuilding and installing our doors and putting in a drainage system in the backyard. He was always timely and responsive and provided a very detailed estimate which was really helpful. He was very reliable, fair and trustworthy and I felt totally comfortable discussing any issue or question that arose with him. I highly recommend him and will be using him again in the near future.

Bud did a great job on a pocket door installation, pergo floor install, trim and paint. He was punctual and professional. He did high quality work at a competitive price and answered all of our questions. He also checked in with us before doing any additional work we had not discussed. My wife and I were very satisfied with his services.

Bud the owner is too good to be true or so I thought when I first had him rebuild my fense. He was HONEST, fast, and did a great job at a very good price. So I figured it was just a lucky chance. Of course I had him back to install all new windows in my old 1938 house and again he and his crew did an amazing job and what was even better was that it was going to cost me Ten Grand by a window company and only cost a few grand with Mighty Handy. The work was perfect which was hard to do as I have an old 1938 house. If you need painting or construction call him, Mighty Handy is the best contractor in Portland and one of the least expensive.
