Great experience at this shop. Dillon did a great job & I was very pleased. I travel a lot and will go to different barber shops in different cities and if you’re not a regular sometimes they just try to fit you in and get you out as quick as they can, but that isn’t the case at all here. He took his time and asked my opinion on the progress as well as giving his suggestions.
Overall — very happy with this experience. Cool barber shop with a bunch of guys having a good time. Only thing that wish I would have gotten which didn’t come with the cut was straight razor shave on the neck which a lot of barber shops do as a part of their cuts in my experience but for $ 25 in a good part of town I’ll take it.

Surprised doesn’t express how I am feeling, I walked in and was greeted and treated better then expected. The barbers know their stuff I wasn’t sure at first but I am glad that I did I found my barber. this is my way to let anyone who isn’t sure about this try it you won’t be sorry.

I had been going to Mensroom for a few years. Because I’m a cheap bastard I decided to give this place a try, on 3 different occasions. Two times I had the regular cut with different barbers. I told them what I wanted in the best way I could translate haircut speak. I may be completely wrong, but judging solely on the hairstyles of the barbers, and of the clientele on the three times I went in, they seem to cater towards one particular style. That of really shorn on the sides, medium to long on the top, or slight variations thereof which I admit is trendy for the modern man, but doesn’t necessarily work for all hair types. It looked okay, but both times I felt too much was taken off, and then requires you to return more frequently to keep it status quo. I also went for a line up and that was as good as you could ask for. They simply do a cut, neck shave, and you’re out. Turn around time is quick.
The guys were friendly, meticulous, and you could tell they take pride in their work. The atmosphere definitely has a hip-​hop vibe to it. Clean enough inside, not much to look at, save for some apparel on the walls and what looked like a Jackson Pollock-​esque painting on a wall (?). The open air conversations now and then verge on teenage if I had to be honest. There’s definitely a difference between subject matter with young kids in the store vs. adults. Prices are fair.
I do not dislike the place. They just have too narrow a preferred hairstyle for me I guess.

The first time I went the guy decided that I needed to style my hair like his so he cut like that instead of the way I wanted. I decided to give them another shot and I got the same barber this go around as well, the cut was hurried and sloppy and when I got home and washed out all of the product it was a mess. He buzzed all the way up the back of my head and the sides were not blended clean or evenly. I could have given myself a better haircut with a Flowbee. I went and got it fixed at the Mensroom.

I had a wedding up here with no time to get my hair chopped off before leaving town. My social secretary found this highly recommended spot off of Unilocal and even without the tons of compliments I got, I knew it looked good. They make it super easy allowing you to make reservations with the barber of your choosing online.
I have a weird head and my hair looked great after. Everyone noticed and loved it as much as I did. These guys are maestros with the clippers and scissors. They made it relatively easy to style afterwards.

Awesome undercuts, pomps, and shop chatter. Jake keeps my hair nice and tight, I can schedule apts on an app, and be in and out pretty quick! My fade is always right and I always have folks asking where I get my hair done.
I usually see other butches/​queers in there getting cuts and I’ve always been treated really well. Won’t go anywhere else!

Freshest dudes. Freshest cuts. Being a long-​locked-​lady myself, I haven’t gotten my hair cut here BUT it is my go-​to location for any guys in my life who need to get Frankie Fresh. The atmosphere is so young, so cool & all the guys are really nice. I brought one of my teenage employees here for his first cut by someone other than his Mom and now he’s hooked. It is the «it» spot for all the stylish young men in Portland.

Was in town for work and needed a haircut. Found this place on here and decided to try it. Got a great cut at a very affordable price. Staff was super friendly, enjoyed listening to them joke around. Would highly recommend

Got my haircut and beard trim before my wedding it was great the guys were a professional and the atmosphere is cool they also have great music and some good looking clothes and people are funny I highly recommend momentum

Stopped in last Thursday while on vacation and exploring Portland. The shop was very busy but I was lucky to get a sides/​back fade appointment with Curan. He did an outstanding job! I highly recommend Momentum Barbers if you live in or are visiting the Portland area.

Went shopping for my brother and found lots of brand names that are usually unavailable in the Portland district! Love that I can shop for the guys in my life without heading to Boston! Awesome business idea to keep two barbers in shop full time. These two guys are always full and seem to have lots of regular customers! Definitely stop here and take a look!
