After visiting the children’s consignment shop across the street, I visited this beautiful little place. As it turns out, the owner is the first person on the US mainland to carry the Ergo carrier(they began in Hawaii) — and she recognized the one I’d just gotten in the consignment store as one of the originals! The product selection is perfect — not too much, not too little, the store is beautiful and bright, and she is incredibly supportive of the local and handmade. She was very, very friendly and knowledgeable about all the inventory, and really had the whole babywearing thing DOWN — knew about various carriers and various ways to use them. I can’t wait to need something else in there(prices are great for what’s on offer, especially compared to some of the other«green baby» shops i’ve been in — this one actually makes the whole«green baby» thing accessible to those of us who aren’t bleeding cash).

Mother nature’s is a fantastic baby store in se Portland. They have an amazing selection of organic diapers and clothing, handmade and local toys, books and mommy care items. For all of the products that they sell their prices are competitive and comparable to any online dealer. But the real value in this store is with the staff. They will absolutely go out of their way to ensure that you are a well informed and satisfied consumer. They pout on free cloth diapering classes periodically. If you ever have any questions you can always feel free to call. They are happy to help. We have been in there several times when an obviously stressed new mother called with some questions about their new cloth diapers. The staff, and especially the owner, patiently and happily answers any questions or concerns that the new mommy may have. They will even help explain products to you that you have purchased elsewhere. Fantastic store.

They are so knowledgeable and nice. I was in looking for a solution for my bed wetter, and the gal who was working so so sweet. I ended up buying some things that worked out wonderfully. Even though its a little pricey, I felt like the sales woman was honest and not trying to oversell me on anything.

This place is great! I’ve gotten presents for prego friends and family here(you can also register with them for baby showers), and even though I’m not a breeder myself, this store has all the right stuff for those who are(or those who are gifting those who are). Quality, eco-friendly products, from a variety of cloth diapers to clothes to shoes to nice wooden toys to organic«nipple balm» for nursing mamas. And the service is great. They will show you how to use all the different wraps and slings — there’s a ton of different ones open to try, along with realistic baby-dolls to wrap(creepy to some of us, but useful to others). And they are also nice to people who bring their kids in with them, so no worries about that(you would think, duh, it’s a baby store, but you never know with some places!). Overall a fantastic local business to support, rather than draining your dollars into The Acme Baby Corporation(s) of the world and their cheap plastic crap.

Totally the place to buy cloth diapers. I went in knowing nothing, and the people who worked in the store gave me a great primer, telling me my options, showing me the best folding techniques, etc. They didn’t try to upsell me on stuff, which I really appreciated. The store is very well organized and user-friendly. I like this much better than Babyworks in Northwest.

Everyone around me is having babies, so having a go to place is key for all of those needed baby shower gifts. I can be in and out of Mother Nature’s within 5 minutes and never feel overwhelmed like I do when Babies R’ Us looms in front of me. It is a small store, yes, but they everything you need. Cute little organic clothing, toys and books galore. I was actually just here yesterday, and in a entirely packed store(man, it is like baby feaver out there right now), the sales girl happily helped me and rang me up with no waits what so ever. There was even a cute little door man to help me in and out of the door, although he was 2 and his mother thought he was trying to escape into the streets of Clinton, it made it all the better.

A cute little independent organic baby store, and rights across the street from Picalinas. They have a relatively small selection of very high quality items, and tend to run a little pricey, but that sort of goes with the territory. Great staff, they usually don’t have a massive range of things, but focus on having pretty much the best ones.

in search of cloth diaper covers I hit up this place — the ad I saw in metro parent magazine also mentioned that they help with«baby wearing» … of course I forgot all my slings and carriers that day … meh. they have a wonderful selection of organic cloth diapers, covers — you name it for baby and they have it. And the lady who helped me was wonderfully helpful. I told her what I was looking for and she took the time to explain the benefits of each item … even offered to help with my sling(should I happen to remember it next time I cruise by). as a mommy I appreciate the selection and service!

Very cute, organic baby products. When I have kids, I will love to shop here, until then — I can look at the cute baby slippers and organic onesies.
