Nerds On Call

What a great experience I had with every employee I worked with. I had thought I lost all 3500 of my photos but Nick was able to find every single one and called me as soon as he found them in order to ease my mind. He then offered to completely update my computer and even add more storage, for a reasonable fee, to make my oldie but goody computer run more efficiently. Thank you to EVERY nerd who helped with this project! I would definitely recommend them!

Another visit from their competent technician helped resolve some of my network issues. In large part our service limitations are imposed by the physical layout of hour home, and their tech spent the time to review our future options for improvement.
After my call with them and leaving my initial poor review, their customer service was very aggressive about trying to correct my issues, which I appreciate. I suspect that leaving the initial review did influence their behavior, but that’s sort of the point of reviews. Also, I would have liked to see this eagerness from the beginning, but they did try to make the situation right.
I think their technicians are qualified, and I would consider using them again for a large install. However, I maintain the opinion that their pricing for services should be more transparent: if you want to charge by the hour, charge by the hour; If you want to charge a flat rate, charge a flat rate. I am more satisfied with my experience now, but would want to clarify pricing with them before another transaction.

Nerds on Call came to my house and set up my router, smart TVs, XBox, audio system and wifi printer. What a relief it was to have people who knew what they were doing do it. Matt was friendly and competent. I recommend them!

Overall not a good experience and I wouldn’t go here again or probably recommend based on my experience. Communication was really lacking and there was a pricing discrepancy that they are finally working to fix.

The pricing discrepancy they were «working to fix» actually was never fixed, I was promised a partial refund and never got one. Apparently it’s okay to just let things go for two months then finally contact your customers. I’ve lost all confidence in this company.

We have been using Nerds on Call for a couple of years and have always been happy with the response time and customer service. We have been on a monthly maintenance program with them for almost a year and it has worked out great. They have helped with internet glitches, problems with software installations, virus infections and issues that were probably user error. Included in the contract is a monthly tune-​up. My husband is a late to computer user and the Nerds team has saved me much frustration trying to help him out when something goes wrong on his computer. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone

I contacted Nerds on Call when my computer flipped out with a nasty virus. Within minutes I was connected with a technician who remotely repaired my computer. The fix took about six hours, and the charge was very reasonable. The price included a three-​month trial of their on-​line support, available 7 days a week. After three months I happily paid for a year of online support. It was about $ 25 per month (not exactly sure of that price) for unlimited remote support. I’ve only used it a few times, but when I need it they are available, polite, and effective. I LOVE knowing I can get IT support at home so quickly and efficiently. Great service – highly recommend.

I needed help setting up a wireless network — yah, I know, it should be straightforward and easy but it wasn’t for a number of reasons. I left a message on Saturday and got a call back on Sunday — SUNDAY! They dispatched someone first thing Monday morning. Okay it’s not dirt cheap, but Dylan knew what he was doing and checked out all the aspects of my network to be sure everything was working like it should be. I will say I was surprised about the $ 29 fee to schedule someone, but the overall efficient managing of my issues was worth the total price to me. Plus Dylan was a nice guy. I know I’m not paying for nice, but it just makes things easier.

I agree… should have done better research before trying these guys out. I spents $ 150 to simply have them look at my Macbook Air (which they will credit if they do any work). They had to send it to CA for evaluation (cracked LCD screen). A week later I had to track them down for an answer. When I finally get someone on the phone, they tell me it’s going to cost more than $ 1000 for a new screen. And another few hundred for a new keyboard. I tell them to return the laptop as is.
A week later (do they use camels ??) they finally deliver the laptop back.
I tested the laptop myself (using an external monitor). The keyboard works perfectly fine.
Simple internet research tells me an LCD can be fully replaced from $ 279 (iResQ) to around $ 450 at various other repair centers.
I could by a brand new Macbook Air for around $ 1000+.
What are these guys thinking? What was I thinking? Generally you can trust folks from the great northwest… but not so sure in this case.
