This is a well-priced, no-frills salon. A good weave, cut and style is around $ 80. They use Paul Mitchell products. The staff is friendly and experienced. It is not fancy — just the basics. But if you are looking for a good deal, look no further.

NW Beauty Salon is reliable and gets an unchanged rating, at 4 stars, almost 2 years later. I hadn’t stopped by in a while. At the Northwest College of Beauty school salon in Clackamas, the two guys who were cutting my hair, one of whom was funny and the other who was laid back, both graduated. I didn’t want to look into another stylist there who would, again, be graduating, so I went back to visit this shop I had patronized before, but without being patronizing. Sometimes, there’s no wait and, sometimes, there’s a brief wait. Women and men utilize the services of this salon. As you walk in, there is hair styling and cutting to the left and nail services to the right. I can’t comment on how they fare with women’s services, but running a #4 up the sides, scissor cutting the top, blending the two zones, evening up the sideburns, and removing some stray fuzz here and there takes about 12 minutes and is fairly priced. And, the ladies working here are always nice and make some small talk with you. Street parking is easy to find. And, come September 12, you can even ride the rails to get your hair cut at NW Beauty Salon. The new MAX Orange Line is going to run just behind the businesses across the street and have a stop in old downtown Milwaukie.

I just had the worst bikini wax I’ve ever had. It was incredibly painful and there was no shape to it whatsoever. I had to come home and shave.

I got acrylics done here two weeks ago. They looked nice but were too long and I was charged $ 35 because there was gel over the acrylic. I was very happy w my acrylic service. Today I returned to have them removed. Signage states $ 5 nail removal. She starts to pick at my fully done nails w another acrylic tip. It really hurts because, ya know, glue. I asked for soaking removal. Then with the«manicure» I was given(I bled from the cuticle nippers and didn’t want polish or top coat) I was charged $ 22. That – to me – is exorbitant to have acrylics removed. That’s as much as a gel manicure most places. Or a pedicure. Out of the salon, I still have polish on my hands(my acrylics bored me and I painted a color over the top) so I wouldn’t say I experienced anything near a $ 12 manicure. I asked how the price went from $ 5 to $ 22…the $ 5 removal only covers her prying off the glued acrylics w a tip. Good luck. I will not return. Also. A $ 10 min on cards. No big deal there just a fact.

These ladies Are the only people I’ll let cut my hair. They do a fantastic job and for $ 8 it’s a steal. They are friendly and there getting popular now. I’m regular and they pretty much know what haircut I’ll be getting. I went Saturday morning and it seemed like everyone thought of the same thing, it was packed. Went Monday morning and I was the first customer. Overall great place to go for anyone.

I only understand about 30% of what Nancy says to me, but I know when she wants to know how to cut my, and I know when she asks me for eight dollars. I’m always happy with my hair, and I’m always happy paying only $ 8 for it. Even with a tip it’s still a great deal. For someone who lives in SE Portland, this is totally worth a very short drive into Milwaukie!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for over a couple of years and refuse to go anywhere else. Keep in mind that I’m a dude, and haven’t opted for a manicure, pedicure, dye job, or perm. What they have done is cut my hair well, month in and month out. The wash costs $ 3 extra, and is pretty short compared to other shops, but hey, it’s only 3 bucks.
