Stopped in for pizza, Young crowd but welcoming to 50+. We had kale Caesar salad and romaine salad. Large enough for two to share. Also had bottle of rose wine and sausage pizza that had a slight hint of lemon zest . Wonderful service. Too loud for small children. Dolce de leche donuts for desert We will come back

I had a large party of 30 people last night in their back room and it was perfect! The pizza was incredible, the service was great and attentive and the drinks were awesome! I love that they had fancy non-alcoholic options that they make in house. Loved the ambiance and will definitely consider for next year or another large event.

We absolutely loved PREAM from the minute we walked in. Very please to the eyes, ears, and definitely the palate. Totally enjoyed the pizza, sides and hand-crafted sodas. Have told many about it since!

Meh. It didn’t do it for me, especially in a city with some great pizza. It had some decent hype, and was certainly on my radar, but after visiting and sampling I can’t recommend it. To start with it is a smallish menu that doesn’t give you that many options. The prices are higher than they should be, especially given that the food is just above average. It is wood fired pizza, but everyone and their mama make wood fired pizza these days, so you need something unique — cue the comically dark space and somewhat enjoyable hip hop music. In the end the atmosphere doesn’t help, I don’t think it hurts too much, because at the end of my meal I wished I would have spent the same amount of money for good pizza or half as much for similar quality pizza. Probably not returning.

This is a review by a vegetarian 2.5 stars Plus: It has atmosphere. Pizza shows some craft. Happy hour pricing(5 – 6, after 9). Minus: Music is too loud and is intrusive. Light is too low(I couldn’t see the pepper flakes and Parmesan in the dish). It’s a Neapolitan pie with the usual critique: too much char, too much flop in the middle(it can’t be eaten like a normal pie after the first slice. The center just completely hangs down). I went early and there were only three tables occupied. They put us all next to each other. I hate that. — I probably won’t go again because of the music but even if they moderated that the pizza would still be behind Firehouse, Lovely’s, and Nostrana for that kind of pie and behind Life of Pie, Ken’s, and Fillmore for similar personal pies.

A greeting when we came in and a bid farewell and thanks when we left. Service was great– far above the normal Portland standards. Food was great– happy hour prices were amazing. We adored the décor and the hip hop banging on the speakers. All the hip hop haters complaining on here need to quit. Every other place in Portland plays sad, sappy ass music. LOVED this place. We will be back, and soon! P.R.E.A.M. will be getting our money $$$ bill y’all.

Pizza is good, rigatoni is great, but the bolognese is fantastic. Get the meatballs as well!

Our friend’s dad recommended this place and I haven’t had good pizza in Portland so I thought I’d try! Around $ 17 for a pizza that is easily sharable for two. We got the sausage pizza which was good but nothing special that would make me want to go back. The crust was soft and didn’t dry out but since they’re wood fired pizzas there were a lot of burnt blistered parts. Some people might like it but I didn’t. We also got the garlic knots and they were also okay in my opinion and not really garlicky. I did like that there were olives in the sauce and a nice sprinkling of parm on top. The roasted squash soda was interesting and worth a try! Waiter was also very friendly and nice.

Great pizza! Terrible music! Pizza was fantastic. Reminded me of the blistered pies at Co. in NYC. Music was mediocre R&B and rap, blasting way too loud. Lights were too low also. Brussel sprout appetizer was lacking thought, the techniques and flavors didn’t work. The music might lead me try another pizza place.

This please is fantastic. I am not usually one to write reviews, unless the place really astounds me. I work as a manager at a restaurant downtown and have worked in the industry for the last decade. I’ve been to Pream five times now and every time has been a GREAT experience. That kind of consistency really deserves significant other credit. The pizza is absolutely delicious, a wonderful combination of flavors that are fresh and creative. I also have loved all of the starter plates, that offer seasonal fruits and vegetables, along with the classics(garlic knots are killer!). Cocktails are delightful as well, the flavors well thought out and executed perfectly. The staff is wonderfully friendly, funny and knowledgeable as well as extremely helpful. I have been with friends and also sat at the bar a few times by myself and have consistently felt comfortable and taken care of. I love this place and am grateful to have such a gem in my neighborhood.

Went in around dinnertime on a Thursday. They were fairly busy and probably could have used just one more person working tables. The service was awesome but it was easy to see the server was stretched a little thin. The main reason I went was Portland Nacho Week. I have to say, the nachos were some of the best I’ve had in quite a long time. The balance of sweet and spicy was perfect. The toppings were plentiful and I did not feel at any time that I was paying too much. I know that nachos are not on their regular menu but I hope they consider keeping them on the menu. I also had a meatball pizza. The pizza was tasty. The crust was cooked to perfection and the toppings and sauce were in great proportions with a good mix of flavor. It was definitely knife/fork pizza as the crust was not cooked to crispy on the bottom. I ended up getting one of their house-made sodas with bourbon pre-mixed and was really happy with the drink. The overall price-tag was pretty hefty(Nachos cost as much as the drink). The food was great and I’ll be back on occasion.

Totally. Legit. Pizza. Coming from a pizza snob like myself, that says a lot. First off this is not New Jersey or New York pizza, but it is wood-fired pizza and that is a skill all unto its own. The pizzaiolo has to be able to keep an eye on that wood and the temps to make sure that pizza comes out perfect every time. In the case of PREAM, the woman has some skills. I spent an afternoon next door at Blitz watching football and watching a FF Draft take place along with a small fundraiser going on. It was a full day and I was going to head home, but I saw the neon sign for PREAM and knew that if I didn’t go in now, I don’t know when I was going to be back. The place is darkly lit and JZ and Outkast were playing.(I found out that before 8pm it’s more old school rap, what I grew up with, and after 8 it’s the later 90s and beyond) Whodini, The Beasties and other old school classic albums are gracing the walls. The staff was immediately offering to take a drink order and letting me know about the nacho special going on for the evening. It was tempting, but I came for pizza. The pizzas are individual, or at least it was for me and start at $ 14 for the Margharita and go up from there. They are a bit spendy, but in this case, they are worth it. I got the Margharita and had them add roasted garlic to it. I will admit, I wanted more garlic than she put on it, but it was still incredible. On this evening, oak was being used but I was told that fruit woods have been used and others to lend their characteristics to the pizza. Smoky, salty, chewy, crusty, cheesy and plenty of tomato and basil were in each different bite that I took. I would have liked the crust overall to be a little less chewy and more on the crunchy side, but I understand there needs to be a balance and you don’t want that crust to get too charred so that it overpowers the pizza. The balance was spot on. The pizzaiolo knew what she was doing. I think I was even the last pizza of the evening because she was breaking everything down after. The place has great vibes and I’ve already told a couple friends that they need to make a trip over here(sans children) to enjoy this craftsmanship of the dough and cheese variety. As I said right at the beginning, Totally. Legit. Pizza. This place blows away some of the other«high end» pizza places here in town. There are skills in place at PREAM. I’ll be back soon. Enjoy.

Such an interesting pizza place. Came here during our visit and ordered a little bit of everything. Really enjoyed the intro dishes and I felt that the margherita was their best pizza. Simple but delicious. We ordered a few other pizzas but we all agreed they were meh. The environment here was interesting… blaring hip hop, quirky décor, but a friendly staff. If you’re a pizza lover, give this place a try. But if you’re looking for a nice quiet dinner, this isn’t the place for you.

The pizza was burnt on the outside and soggy in the middle, we were seated immediately but then had to wait 20 minutes for service(note that the place was not slammed). Also the music was deafeningly loud. I can get better pizza albeit in a less fine-dining fashion in at three places for half the price. I’m not thrilled with this place but I sensed good intentions so I may return, but first they need to get their act together

Was the pizza good? Yeah. Was it mindbogglingly amazing? No. Would I come here regularly? Sure, if the price point dropped approximately $ 2 – 3 for each entrée and $.50-$ 1 for each appetizer. Otherwise? Nah, bro. The portions are tiny. The space is nicely decorated, but to me it just shouts«we’re trying really hard to justify charging excessive amounts of money for tiny pizzas and a hip-hop atmosphere.» The staff all seemed nice, if not particularly thrilled. And who could blame them — the seating areas were barely 1⁄8 utilized on a weekend evening dinner time. These are the essential pizza elements that I consider in my pizzavaluations: 1. Dough. For thin-crust pizzas, you expect a certain crispiness to the thinnest area of dough in the center of the pizza, paired with a heartier, softer bite around the edges. PREAM has that peripheral crust part down with a really nice, smooth and blistered sourdough. What it lacks is a crisped center — ours was basically soft and floppy, borderline soggy, right out of the oven — and begging for some SALT. Seriously, really tasted no salt at all, and none provided at the table. 6⁄10 for the dough 2. Sauce. This is where PREAM really shows off their stuff. One of the top 3 pizza sauces I’ve had in the past year. Tangy, textured, fresh, perfectly seasoned. Went really well with the two garlic knots we got as a $ 6 – 7 appetizer. 10⁄10 for sauce, 5⁄10 for quantity provided 3. Hits-the-Spotness. Pizza isn’t a delicate dainty high-end eating experience. That’s not the culture of pizza. Even an «elevated» slice should still be a comfort food. After eating a garlic knot and pizza I was still a little bit hungry, which made me feel a little sad. 5⁄10 4. Toppings. The best pizza places have several trusted standby options accompanying their own signature concoctions. I shouldn’t have to google a long list of pretentious terms when I’m trying to order a pizza. Every option appeared to have at least one kind of meat on it, save the margherita, which had 4 medium blobs of mozzarella. And charred leaves of basil, which seemed mostly decorative. Overall a pretty good snack, but not particularly memorable. 5⁄10

This review will be filled with rap mentions solely because that’s the perceived«theme» of this restaurant… but like Jurassic 5 they failed to meet my Great Expectations. So lets just call P.R.E.A.M., Meek Mill… because they really missed the mark here. Pizza: Saltier than Kanye West after Beyonce loses an award. I’ve eaten pizza in so many different Area Codes and never have I experienced so much Salt… They could of at least added some Pepa. Cola: As Common calls Drake… SWEET. Black Garlic Knots: The outside was Fresh to Def as Lupe would say, but the center’s more doughy than the Fat Boys. Presentation/Atmosphere: The use of Fine China as dinnerware as has me feeling like Chris Brown at a Hip-Hop show… out of place. If you’re going with the rapper theme, the cutlery and plates could of been edgier. The music was about as real hip-hop as Macklemore and walls lacked the murals of our fallen heroes Tupac, Biggie… and ODB. Great concept… failed execution. Maybe call Raekwon? I hear he’s a Chef.

I was excited to try a new pizza place with what looked like innovative pie toppings, but my hopes were dashed by their utter lack of service. My partner and I walked in and asked to sit at the bar where there were a total of six other people being served by a bartender and what I assumed was a bar back. Upon sitting the bar back sort of acknowledged us, tossed down some menus and water glasses, which he spilled while filling and grunted, someone’ll be right with you. The bartender was taking the order of the only people at the bar aside from us with no drinks or food so we waited, and waited, and waited. The bar back passed us several times without so much as a glance, but he sure looked busy while he heated up something in a tupperware container and then went to sit across from us at the bar with a young lady and eat. The whole time, the bartender continued to socialize with the other couple. At this point it had been nearly 10 minutes and we were still sitting there with our sad little spilt waters and hungry bellies, so we decided to leave. As we stood up another person suddenly appeared and asked us why we were leaving, so we told him that we’d been there for 10 minutes and no one had bothered to acknowledge us beyond pouring waters and then sitting at the bar to eat. He shrugged, and seemed mildly apologetic, but that was too little to late and we left.

Pizza Rules Everything Around Me? Yeah, I’m a fan. But get your money; This place is gonna cost you some dolla’ dolla’ bills, ya’ll. I’ll be the first to admit that while I definitely appreciate high quality, creative food, ultimately for me atmosphere is king. I want a dining experience, and I’m willing to pay for it. Under this set of criteria, PREAM is top notch. Woodfired pizza with high design and a side of hip hop? OK, I’m sold. Take all my monies. I took a friend-date here as a thank you for a favor, and it was an excellent meal. We started with the black garlic knots. The portion was smaller than I had expected, but they were still delicious. Up next was the kale caesar salad, jazzed up a bit with radish. I liked it just fine, and actually I could eat this as a meal. As just one course of many, it’s enough for a couple of people to share. Finally, it was time to order pizza. We went with two different selections: one with fennel sausage, the other with pork belly. Both were incredibly tasty, with a thin crust that had a nice char and maintained structural integrity underneath the toppings. This is more fork-and-knife pizza than the type you just pick up and chow, but dang if it’s not delicious. That crust is to die for. The bar program was… not my favorite. The beer and wine lists were small and seemed purposefully obscure. Maybe I just don’t know my stuff as well as these guys, but I do believe that things should be a bit more accessible. The cocktail list is small as well, and while it covers all the spirits, I was left without anything I actually wanted to drink. That’s incredibly out of character. All I can say is that I hope the bar side of things evolves. Overall, PREAM is an awesome restaurant, with delicious food and a hell of an environment. I’d go back, and gladly.

So this is 3 stars because I have faith that I can come back and boost that up to 5 stars after the wrinkles get ironed out. The concept: your prix fixed pizza meal as a song. Love this idea complete with intro, hook, chorus, verse, and outro. Now if the song had flowed it would have been great. Instead I got the remix or my CD skipped like a disc-man on tri-met! First the runners and wait staff should really communicate. We had 6 different people come to our table, the hook came out before the intro but what made it stand out is that the staff had a hard time bouncing back. It’s how you comeback that I give mad props for and it fell short. Once everyone gets a rhythm going this should fix itself but never forget to bounce back from the hiccups. The food: has potential. The crust is just the way I like it but watch out for the saltiness of the crust combined with the ingredients like the cheese and pancetta, together it borders overkill. The bruschetta was hands down the star of the meal, do that again-pork belly. The cannoli tasted like the ricotta inside was off or maybe the combination lacked something like orange zest. The drinks: props to them for bottling some drinks-super cute and tasty Pink flamingo. The drink with absinthe kicked my ass in a get this party started. Beers on tap, a few from Baerlic! The space: it’s nice and open inside. There’s enough room for each table. I like the open feel walking in and seeing the wood oven. I wish they would carry on the graffiti look to the bottom edge of concrete along the bottom it would just help it flow. So I’ll be back because I want to change this review. I’m ready for the next episode…

This out birth of Nedd Ludd Monday night pizza nights. Yes, another woodfired pizza place. This one is a hipersteresque debut with concrete walls, hip hop music, broken records on the wall. It is quite spacious with reclaimed wood and vintage lights at the bar. Tables are far enough apart. They are adding tables for the summer on the sidewalk. Its the old Tenessee Red’s venue. We were fortunate to come for the preview dinner and sample all five courses. First the standout to me was the pizza, with a nice doughy consistency and just the right saltiness in the sauce often few master served Italian style. I especially liked on the white been pizza, the perserved lemons twhich gave it a perfect kick. The kale salad was also quite good. The meatballs were a bit bland. The garlic knot with puntanessca was worth the order as a starting ap. Another highlight was our waitresses Megan who poeticized on each dish. Well done girl! The canoli was a bit bland as well — not enough sugar in the ricotta mixture nor crunch. The drinks were good. The one was absinthe had a great alcoholic licorish kick. The soda streamed bourbon drink was also impressive. They have their own soda fountain. For just opening I am sure it will be 5 stars in no time.
