Tom restored a table that had been completely demolished by movers– in addition to two other tables. He did wonderful job(the demolished table doesn’t even look like it was damaged in the first place). Additionally he finished the work a week before estimated and his pricing was very fair(I received another quote that was much more expensive). A pleasure to do business with, and he brought my table back to life!

looks like they’re closing up shop soon or moving. everything in the store is currently 60% off. there are definitely some treasures there if you look. I found an old«woodie» tennis racket(with brace) for $ 3.20.

Pagenwood is actually 2 stores in 1. In back is the Furniture Restoration and Repair business and in front is an Antique Shop. The most interesting collection in front are the various woodworking tools. It’s fun to look around at all the interesting stuff, but it’s even more intriguing to look at all the work in progress in back. This guy really knows how to work with his hands. Pagenwood has been located in the heart of Multnomah Village for 35 years, and unfortunately this era will soon be coming to an end. Proprietor Thomas Pagenstecher will continue to repair and restore furniture from a workshop he built at his nearby home, but will no longer run a retail antiques business. «As much fun as retail is, it keeps me from restoration,» Pagenstecher says. «And restoration pays the bills.»

Excellent work restoring our old oak pressback chair which was nearly destroyed after our move. Did such an awesome job that we’ll be bringing the other 5 to him next. Did I mention he’s a super nice guy with a funky antique shop in front. Took a littlle longer than promised but totally worth the wait!
