I love this little market. Emphasis on the word *little*. There are maybe 10 – 15 vendors available, but all are very friendly and have an interesting selection. You can get cash-like tokens from the information stand via your debit/credit card since most of the vendors don’t take cards(one or two do, though). The prices are pretty great for locally grown produce. The mushroom guy is always there, its all he sells, and its always worth the money. If you want a super huge farmers market, this isnt it. This is a super tiny, one street, small-neighborhood market.

I had no idea this little farmers market existed until I randomly jogged by on a Wednesday evening! It only goes from 2−7pm on Wednesdays, but it’s a pretty cute neighborhood gig! They had about 15 – 20 vendors with all kinds of ultra-local/fresh/organic produce, baked goods, patisseries/desserts, eggs/meat, etc, very much keeping in theme with the People’s Co-Op. Also, they are able to accept debit/credit cards which is a huge added convenience(I think you buy tokens with them and then use the tokens to buy actual products). A lot of the sellers here you will not find at the big Hollywood or PSU farmers markets, so it’s nice to know there’s more variety and another non-weekend market to consider! It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood! Biking or walking there is highly recommended :-)

Recently moved to Portland from Southern California and took my son to the Oregon Zoo. In the petting area they had an amazing map of all the farmers markets in the Portland area with addresses and hours of operation. Awesome !!! I noticed most of them didn’t start until May so I was a little bummed. However, this one was on the list and said«year round» so I was stoked. We drove down with excitement — «Our first Portland famers market experience!» Well… it was about four or five kiosks and that was it. The three stars are for the fact the everyone was really nice and the items sold were solid. I guess I just wanted more. Unfortunately there weren’t enough reviews on this place to get an idea of what it would be like. My old OB neighborhood in San Diego has a farmers market every Wednesday that takes up most of the main drag on Newport. I thought I would find something similar. Still for a small market it is A-OK.

Absolutely stunning produce! We happened upon this Wednesday market by chance and will be back. Raw honey, bee pollen, heirloom carrots, shitake mushrooms, kale, and much more.
