Well, sad to give a one star, but their was a bright neon flashing and Unilocal said they were open. They were shut —- and I didn’t see a remodel notice OR anything. I hope to update review soon after another try.

My all time favorite phở restaurant! Very authentic and homemade. If you’re looking for a quick phở fix then you should definitely come here! They are super super fast compared to other phở restaurants(If you’re Asian then you know that it legit does not take long to prepare phở) and their rice pork chop is a must! Their menu is very very cheap and I never have to add anything to my phở! Cons: they don’t put enough green onions/cilantro in their phở.

The best Vietnamese Phở restaurant in Portland!!! Hands down. I never had a bad experience with this place. Their phở broth is so good that you don’t even need to add anything in it. Service is very fast and staff is friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Order the house special #1. you won’t be disappointed!

I come in almost once a week and I’m about to go in now. She lets me take a seat practically anywhere I want. Quite helpful since I bring work with me to lunch/dinner.

I grew up going here. I moved away and it’s been a few years since coming back. Man was I disappointed. The service was quick but the quality of the meat inside the phở was not up to par. I got the phở with rare steak and brisket. The steak was ok but the brisket was terrible. All gristle and chewy and some of the vegetables given to add in your bowl were brown. Disappointed. I’ll start going to phở van. Never disappointed me there.

I love this place. Great photo and salad rolls. First time I went there it was very busy, but our food came out very quickly. Very nice employees and reasonably priced. I’m happy to live close to those gem.

Almost as good as Phở Hung, in some ways better but overall, the champ reigns supreme.

My go to dishes at Vietnamese joints are always phở and vermicelli noodle dishes. They work hard here and care about there establishment. I’m not blown away by the food but I leave satisfied. Good portions but lacking a signature quality.

The great part is: big portions for a good price. Service is fast and friendly enough. Hours are great. Place is airy, not noisy, more cafeteria like. Good place for a group of 4 or 5 to grab something quick. The negative? My personal pet peeve is being charged $. 50 cents for spending under 10 bucks(easy to do) so bring cash. Also my phở seemed a little on need of sodium. Had to add salt, a first ever for me when eating anything asian. That may be a great thing for people watching out for their health. Over all worth the $.

This place was near where I live so decided to check it out after reading good reviews on Unilocal.I’ve been wanting to find a good phở restaurant nearby and I think this will be my go-to Phở place from now on! It’s not the BEST phở I’ve had but still pretty good. The broth had light but good flavor(no weird cinammon flavor, thank goodness). The salad rolls were good and bigger than most phở restaurants. I got the tendon & brisket phở — tendon was good but little and small… the brisket was a bit dry, but with the right amount of sriracha and hoisin sauce, it’s delicious.

I love this place. Their vietnamese makes phở oregon and other competitors, seem like a product of a childs toaster oven vs a professional chef. Dramatic I know, but this compliment is well deserved. Hot phở, open early, closed on tuesdays just so you know, great service, family run, red bull and budweiser as well as thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee. I love the #64 meat roll you can wrap yourself. I also love the egg noodle seafood soup. Lower prices and better food. Enjoy the fake flower décor and soap operas on the TV while you taste some of the best phở in Portland.

I think this place is honestly great! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid with my family and we all love it. The people are friendly and provide quick and efficient service. I never have to wait long for the food so that’s awesome because honestly no one likes to wait long for their food. The food is great! I think they have the best phở out of all the phở locations on 82nd. I especially like their rice with pork chop and sliced pork and also their vermicelli salad with fried spring roll and grilled sliced pork. The portions are good and the price is pretty nice too. I highly recommend coming here!

This is ultimately my favorite place to get Phở. Check out the other stuff on the menu it’s all very authentic. There are tons of places up and down 82nd that I have tried but I always find myself coming back here. Great pricing, friendly family staff and best flavor.

Your standard phở joint. Kind of hidden away, so it’s a little quieter than some places can be. I know people who love this place, but to me nothing really stood out one way or another. Standard prices, solid phở. Great if you’re in the area, not one I’d go out of my way to hit up.

5 stars because they were really nice and they open at 8am because phở is traditional breakfast food. I personally think it’s the best breakfast in the world. Phở experience: 4⁄5 Broth: great beef flavor, no «phở bouillon» added. Would of liked just a little more floral accents from the spices. Clean, straight forward and well balanced. NOT to salty Meat: super tender, not bloody. 4−5oz portion. Well trimmed meat and well cleaned tripe. Tendon was cut a little thin for my preference. Veg/herb: well washed and fresh. Would of preferred culantro(saw tooth coriander) to the cilantro. Bean sprouts crisp, no decomposition on them. Services/atmosphere: Very nice and polite. I was the only white person there, which usually is a great sign. Encaged vietnamese customers more, but I think it was confidence in her English ability. Maybe 3 minutes for it to come out piping hot. Overall: I enjoyed my phở experience. In and out in 20 minutes, but didn’t feel rushed. Left feeling good and sat well with my all day. Water weigh looked great in the mourning, which is a great sign that they didn’t over use sodium in the dish to make up for lack of skill, technique, ingredients and exicution.

Once your food arrives, the service checks out. This time they did bring the proper dishes to our table. We ordered what amounts to making your own Vietnamese burritos but with a rice wrap. Fun, yummy and messy. You get a bowl of warm water to slide the dry stiff rice wraps into. They soften up and you put them on your plate, then pile ingredients. Then roll and eat. As for the service checking out, that’s accurate. No eye contact, no «how is everything.» We wanted our waters refilled and it took an act of the ancient gods, and another customer noticing to get the gal to acknowledge us and then fill our waters. Really? One takes your order, two others delivered it to the table, and then you are all on your own. But the moment you are past the door out, a third person has rolled the cart up and is clearing the table. If only the rest of the service was as on top of things. 4 stars for the food, and they will never deserve 5 with this unattentive service.

I have tried a few Phở places and this is as good as any but a bit less expensive. The décor is a bit sad but it’s clean and the bathrooms are surprisingly really nice. The hubby and I are not terribly adventurous so we get the #6. I also love the pork chop and shrimp combo. The chop is perfectly cooked with a sweet tangy sauce that is delicious. I wish the shrimp wasn’t over cooked though. Service is always quick and efficient but not overly friendly. You have to go up to the register to pay when you’re done. Basically a decent mom and pop operation that we like to support in our neighborhood. Lents needs more of this kind of business.

In the hunt for some good phở in Portland. This one? No good My wife and I felt like some broken rice or phở early in the morning. So we drove to a few places that led to bad addresses in Unilocal and ended up with this one. So we went here. We ordered their sprimp spring rolls and it was the most horrible tasting spring rolls I ever had! They used expired bagged American shredded lettuce to wrap inside their spring rolls and it had no flavor at all! Pissed me off. all you can taste is freaking lettuce. Not good at all! The main part came, when we got our phở. I ordered a large phở tai nam and my wife had a large phở tai gau. The broth tasted beefy, no cinnamon flavor, that is a good sign, but it was ok. I put in some hoisin and lime and it tasted ok. The meat(specifically brisket) was hard and was sliced too small and long instead of wide and long. The noodles were not even done. Not enough green onions, cilantro and actual onions in the soup. This place is no good for phở!

PHOPHOPHO. As you may know(oh wait, you may not), my husband and I are doing a Vietname experience(long story) and we also check out new Phở restaurants. So before we leave Portland, we want to go to 2 different restaurants to put in our scrapbook. Unilocal and my husband’s obsession with the word Vietnam leads us here. The place is pretty typical Viet restaurant. Fish tank, random Asian/news show on a muted television and some really busy workers with not enough customers to justify such activity. My husband orders the Phở Tai Nam(rare and well done) and I order the Phở Tai Gau(rare and fatty). We also order an order of salad rolls. After the usual 6 minute wait, no food. My husband is antsy now. Phở shouldn’t take that long(Phở Bac’s the Phở God). We receive our salad rolls and we are not impressed. Only shredded lettuce, shrimp and a sprig of cilantro. Hmmmm. My husband tosses his half eaten roll to the side and begin to play on his phone. Not a good sign. I on the other hand, eat it and wish that I had not. We finally receive our Phở(11 minutes later) and I am underwhelmed. No aroma of a good broth and my rare is well not rare. Oh well, another one bites the dust. We eat, we pay and we leave. Nuf said!
