Pioneer Quilts has recently moved to 3101SE Courtney in the Oak Grove Milwaukie area. Same great selection of hand dyed wool, fabrics, patterns and notions.

Large, eclectic selection of nice quality quilting fabrics. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful selection of hand-dyed wool & interesting embroidery threads. Don’t let the name mislead you — there’s everything here from primitive to batiks to something-for-everyone.

This store is now near the Clackamas Town Center Mall, on SE Sunnybrook near the freeway and in back of the Day’s Inn. The staff are very friendly and they have a diverse selection of fabric.

I love this store! I’ve been going in since it first opened, and have watched the upgrades and increased supplies and fabrics over the years. Awesome selection of fabrics and pattern books. They’re always adding new projects to try. Though it’s a fairly small shop, they’re very big on service, helpfulness and ideas. I love going in there because I always feel welcome. Friendliness abounds to the max. I would far rather shop here than in the huge stores. Years ago they sponsored a Hawaiian quilting retreat with Nancy Lee Chong which was fabulous. They have ongoing quilting classes and get togethers, and a wonderful newsletter. Their selection of fat quarters is wonderful. I haven’t taken any more quilting classes there, but it’s only because of time constraints. I love stopping in there just to see what’s new and I’m always inspired.
