This is my «home» Pizzicato; closest to my apartment and the one I patronize for takeout or delivery. The guys are kindly and the food is good. It’s also super-handy when you’re holed-up at home for any reason, or when you know you won’t want to cook for a few days. A small pizza and a side salad goes a long way for a singleton.

Disappointing. The last time I called they were out of whole wheat dough. This time when I called on an uneventful, typical Tuesday afternoon at 4:45, I was told they not only did not have whole wheat dough, that it would also be a 2 hour delivery time. Both times it has resulted in us not ordering. We’re so low on W side delivery options, and 2 hours is unrealistic for most families. I know for us we call because there’s no time to make dinner, and clean up. Also, it’s a fairly healthy option when you get whole wheat crust and a salad. In the future I’ll call earlier, and here’s hoping they will have whole wheat.

Really disappointed with our experience tonight. Over and hour for delivery, luke warm pizza and the toppings were almost obsolete. If you’re paying $ 20 for a pizza, you’d expect something more than mediocre service and sub-par quality. Sorry, we’re completely unimpressed.

Great pizza. Dining is a little cramped, though.

This is a really nice local pizza place. There are good combos that I probably would not have tried on my own. The sausage supreme and pepperoni supreme are great. Smoked mozzarella is a nice touch. The mascarpone on the Rudy’s pizza was eye opening(one of my favorite toppings now). The salads are nice and pretty generously sized. there is limited seating in the store. The wait can get long on weekends.

Great, reliable pizzicato pizza, but cramped and awkward dining room. Best for to go orders.

Their pizza is great in the store– BUT every single time I have ever called to ask them to deliver there has been over an hour wait for delivery. What??? Why even bother offering the service. Super bummer.

I hate to say it but this location is not so great. A few weeks ago we ordered for delivery & it took nearly 2 hours. When we called we we’re told our pizza had been sitting out already cooked for 20 min. They made up for this by offering a free large pizza which they said would go on my account. When we called to redeem there was no note about the mistake & free pizza. But the staff member we spoke to gave it to us anyway which was great until the pizza came. It was utterly blah, which is odd considering there was both pepperoni & Mamas little peppers on it. Yesterday we got a couple slices to go & again blah. By this I mean bland, lacking salt, and I think honestly lacking heart. It’s as if you can taste that this location just doesn’t care that much because their primary customers are hurried parents with kids in tow who don’t have time to notice. We won’t be back for a while.

As a general rule, Pizzacato has excellent pizza. I stopped by this location to grab a to-go slice for lunch, and was pleased to see they have Quattro Formaggi by the slice. Used a Chinook Book coupon and was quickly on my way. The service wasn’t the best. The person behind the counter seemed a little annoyed to be there and to have to deal with a customer. He also called me back by saying«Here you go, ma’am». Blah. In the end, the the delicious pizza mostly made up for this. Pizzacato truly has some of the best pizza in Portland.

Excellent customer service each and every time we go there. If order not perfect, they make immediate amends. The management is spot on. It’s clean, quick and creative. I love their salads, too. We utilize their coupons which we get once monthly via email(after signing up). No spam. They also easily honor Chinook book coupons.

Not the best pizza I’ve ever had but it was damn near close. ;) I walked over today to try this place out and I’m glad I did. I tried the pepperoni pizza(pretty decent) and also tried the bbq pizza. Holy hell that was a great slice and I’m glad I tried it. Will for sure be back!

I used to eat there periodically — the pizza was definitely not my favorite of the many great ones I used to buy when I lived in Oregon but it was decent. I liked it. I prefer more New York-style pizza and Pizzicato is definitely not that, it’s more along the lines of modern/nouvele cuisine and sometimes not so ‘Italian’. They’ve been in business for about 25 years now and they definitely have their connoisseurs. My parents liked it a lot more than I did. I’d definitely give it another shot if given the opportunity. The one I remember my family eating frequently was the barbecue chicken one with the yellow peppers. The prices were always pretty fair. 3 ½ stars.

Pizzacato is my favorite Portland pizza place! Fresh and tasty are the best words to describe it. Be prepared to pay a little more that you normally would for a slice, but you are paying for quality. I am writing this review to attest to the gluten-free crust. It is tough to find a decent gluten-free pizza option, but they definitely have it! I recommend the Genovese pizza on the gluten-free crust. It is full of flavor, hard to tell it’s gluten-free. The pesto sauce truly makes it. I love a good slice with lots of veggies and goodness!

Pizzacato is my favorite pizza in PDX so far. It isn’t perfect, and I don’t find their standard pizza all that good. What always gets me is their creative pizzas. They have a monthly pie and that is what I like to get. My favorite of all times had cauliflower and romesco sauce. I don’t find their pepperoni or Margherita pizza all that great, but it is their more artistic offerings that I crave. Also, their breadsticks and salads are great if you are actually trying to round out your meal a bit. Downsides include a lack of seating and the cost. I would expect better pizza to cost more, so I don’t really consider the cost that much of an issue if at all.

My son have lived in the area for about 6 years, yep, that’s how long we’ve been going to them for take-out orders, he’s just a few blocks away from them! This time, they disappointed me! For one unexpected evening, we were asked to stop by after a hard day’s event from Hillsboro, to baby sit my grand daughter, and watch FROZEN, the Disney movie. My husband brought home 3 – 4 different flavors, and he called me first to see which ones I prefer and I said the chicken. My large slice of pizza didn’t have chicken! There’s two pieces of chicken on his, but there’s absolutely NONE on mine!

Never had their Pizza until moving my Studio to Portland. I was hesitant due to the price, but they are the only non-fast food type chain that delivers. Granted $ 45 for two Pizzas are significantly overpriced. That being said, service was good, fast and the quality and flavor of the Pizza is excellent. I think I would order more of the prices were about 20% less to match other similar quality food. Granted they lose more off each order, but I think they would gain more buy doubling their biz. What may be a once a month order will only be a twice a year order as a special treat.

This is my neighborhood pizza joint. And I feel pretty lucky that it is. This is a great place for the hubby and I to have a quick slice of pizza and a Caesar Salad. The space is small, not too many tables, inside and out. That can be a bit of a drawback, but I can usually find a table. The Caesar Salad is always really good. The lettuce is always good and crisp, though they could cut it into smaller pieces for me. The staff always asks me if I want the dressing on the salad or on the side. On the salad for me! It’s nice and garlicky, just the way I like it. You can buy pizza by the slice or by the pie. They usually have 3 or 4 pies sliced and displayed. They warm the slices for you and they do it pretty quickly. Really good pizza, too. The staff has always been really friendly to me. This is a neighborhood joint, and I often know the folks I see behind the counter. Great place!

Gayle and I recently shared a few tasty slices of Pizzicato, while my son was next door at Paint Pots working on his ceramic dolphins. In fact, we were free to bring our food and drink over and watch the Kid enjoy himself. Pizzicato sells beer too, but wisely decided that next store carryout wasn’t a good idea. I had the flavourful and spicy Thai Chicken slice, while Gayle enjoyed her Puttanesca(fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives and feta on a garlic/olive oil base). The Kid’s hunger doesn’t usually kick in until mid-afternoon, and declined our offers. Pizzicato is a local chain and I’ve previously enjoyed a pie and beer at PDX. This location is on the small side, but still offers a wide selection, including panini and salads. Gluten-free flat bread is also available, their nutritional information is highlighted, and I left impressed with their Dough for Dollars School Fundraising program.
