Portland Gear Hub is a great option for folks who are looking to try out a new sport but don’t have a ton of money to spend on gear, families looking to outfit their kids, or enthusiasts looking for a gently-​used, high-​quality piece of gear. I believe that everything is donated so of course it’s really hit or miss, but there are some great finds if you look hard enough and are willing to dig around. The staff was super helpful and all the money they make all goes to Camp Ketcha. Also worth noting, they offer open bench time for people who want to work on their own bikes but don’t have tools, stands, etc.
