Just bought a used Ranger from Vince. This is an honest, well run company that takes real pride in their inventory and even more pride in their service. I simply can’t say enough about this company. They walk their talk in a quiet and low key way that gets the customer into a great vehicle with no pressure and extraordinary efficiency. If all dealers were like Vince, Israel and Josh the used car market would have a much better reputation. I love my new (to me) truck and when it’s time for the next one, Powell gets the business.

The people over at Powell Motors went above and beyond to assist me with my purchase of one of their used vehicles. Israel was more than helpful in sharing everything he knew about the truck I purchased, which was much because it came to Powell from a longtime customer, which seems to be the majority of their business. It says a lot when a dealer has been around since 1933, and has such a large portion of their clients as repeats. They got the truck in great shape before they put it on the market, and I was very pleased for my long drive back down the coast to Oakland, CA. Truck runs great.

Good customer service and we love our new car. They even washed the car and put more gas in it. They also gave us a recommendation on where to sell our old car for parts.

They have honesty and integrity that is simply nonexistent elsewhere. I sound like a television commercial or something I know but you may buy from these guys with ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE that they have done EVERYTHING in their power to make sure the used car they sell you is practically in NEW condition. It’s amazing.
There’s NONE of this «the brakes fell apart 5 miles down the road» crap that happens elsewhere. That kind of stuff is just rampant in the PDX area but not at Powells.
This was our second purchase from them and we’ll be back.
To illustrate the level of honesty and attention to detail let me just tell you about this… when we bought the car, Vince opened the back and in the 3^rd row headrest (Ford Expedition) showed me a TINY broken plastic thingy down inside the deal by the deal. Honestly I couldn’t even tell what exactly was broken lol. Seriously. I NEVER would have even known about this little teeny part but Vince is so OBSESSED with his vehicles being in PERFECT condition that he showed me this thingy and told me he had already ordered this part and would call me when it arrived so I could bring the car back in and he would fix it. I was just shaking my head and chuckling to myself. I wouldn’t have known something back there needed this fix in probably EVER.
So as you’ve probably gathered the car was «detailed» to the NINES and in top working order and I cannot recommend this business highly enough.
Vince and Israel are the BEST. And that’s service and integrity you just will not find at some dealership on 82^nd. or McLoughlin. I doubt it. It’s kinda like the difference between buying a car from your folks vs. some sketchy guy on the corner. Go with Vince. You won’t be sorry.

While I did not purchase a car here I did take a look and will make my next purchase here.
Very friendly and honest owners. Went in to look at a car and he brought me in to show me a folder with not only the car fax but all the work that was done.

I am so glad I found Powell Motors. I came from out of state to buy a car for my daughter attending school in Portland. I only had two days so I did lots of research online and narrowed it down to a car at Powell and one other. Israel took care of a lot of business before I even got there. He came and got us (even offered to come to the airport to get me!), enjoyed a scenic test ride (nice hill Israel… let’s do it next time when it is covered in snow), and then we took it off for a pre-​purchase inspection which the car passed with flying colors. In fact the mechanic (one I found independent of Powell Motors) said I hit the jackpot with this car. I handed over the check and Israel did all the paperwork to move the title. Then as a special touch Vince did a wonderful sign for my daughter that incorporated her name and other little drawings that showed he listened to us as customers. The car was cleaned (it was clean enough but they cleaned it), put gas in the car, and waved us off. By the way, the showroom/​office is great fun. Great mural on the wall showing the history of Powell Motors and autos, and cute stuff to keep the kids entertained. Someone has put a lot of thought and attention to the details which is much appreciated.

After an unexpected accident last week, I found myself in search of a good used car. Not only did I find a clean, low mileage car, I also found a business that treats customers right and exudes integrity. Vince and Israel are knowledgeable, fair and honest. I would highly recommend Powell Motors to anyone looking for new or used autos.

I have purchased four cars from Powell Motors, and have experienced outstanding service every time. They are honest, and work hard to make sure you are getting a quality car at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a car.

Buying my car from Powell’s motors was the best car buying experience I have ever had. It was like taking a step back in time to the 70’s when people actually cared if you got what you wanted in a car and gave you a fair deal. It is a family owned business and it feels like you’re a part of the family. They didn’t pressure me, they asked lots of questions about what I was looking for and when I found it they let me take as much time to look it over. I took it to my mechanic it checked out fine. Powell’s had a long history of the car I want with the paperwork. When it came time to talk money they were pretty straight forward and reasonable. I didn’t have a lot of time when I first came by to look and they did take my car out for a quick test run for a quoit. When I came back to make an offer they gave me a # on the trade-​in and then found out it made a knock (It sounded like a high mileage car to me.) Had they heard that first the offer would have been a bit lower. They however, kept with the original quoit. I got a fair deal, walked away feeling good about myself and them. They even hand washed it for me and had a little thank you gift. It really was a great experience. I would go back and I do tell everyone.
