Rerun

This is one of the best places, not just best resale shops, in town. The stuff is great, the staff are great, the owners rock, the music rocks, they treat my dogs like furry royalty. Rerun has a rapidly rotating stock of everything from clothes to vintage linens, cards to cool hooks and knobs, and electronics too. The prices are reasonable and the consignment percentage fair. They are as great to consign with as they are to buy from. The staff and the owners are the nicest, warmest folks around: it makes my day to see them. They work hard and they also seem to having fun and this makes the place one of a kind. The owners are personable and community minded. And, a major bonus to me, these folks are incredibly kind in not just allowing dogs, they are dog loving and treat offering. My dogs love it here at least as much as I do, and it’s their favorite place to go.

This store is living proof that some of your grandparents had ghastly taste in décor but in a good way.
It also proves that if something hangs around long enough, it redeems itself (hey, it worked for me).
Like old stuff? Like odd stuff? You’ll like it here. Get a kick out of kitsch? Come on down.
The only possible negative is that once you come in here, places like Goodwill and Salvation Army will lose a lot of appeal to recreational thrifters (or whatever it is they call themselves).

My wife found a purse worth well over $ 100 here (that had a tiny little scratch on it) for $ 40. Epic find. They have a small selection — but they seem to have a good eye for quality.

Love their stuff! I think their prices are amazing. Can not get over the attitude of the staff. Try to smile at your customers, make them glad they are choosing to spend their hard earned money at your place of business. Not carry an attitude like you’ve already judged everyone & you’re put out that they’re wanting to buy stuff & asking questions.

Great prices and an ever-​rotating stock make this one of my favorite consignment shops in all of Portland. Sometimes I can get a bit crowded as everyone else seems to love a good deal as much as I do. I deal with it.
Kudos to the staff. They are always helpful and friendly.

Probably the best thrift store prices so far! Spent $ 65 and got a ton of things for the husband, me, and a toy for the toddler. Staff are super nice. The layout and organization is done nicely. Prices for shirts were about $ 6. The most expensive piece was $ 12 leather cowboy hat. Also they have a great kids corner. Very happy with my thrift finds at cheap prices!

Being a consignment shop I was thinking the prices would be middle to high considering they have awesome taste in furniture and unique items, but i was pleasantly surprised on how reasonable the prices were! I’ve been thrifting a lot lately and I feel that goodwill and Salvation Army etc. is more expensive than rerun and rerun has amazing stuff! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Cute consignment shop in Portland. They have a little bit of everything, from books to clothing to cards and records. They also have furniture pieces and several home décor items. Think smaller, more quality version of Goodwill. I think it’s a great place to shop for a day of thrifting or for finding discount furniture pieces.

I really liked this place. Super variety from vintage clothes to craft items and furniture, friendly service. The place was hopping the day I was there, which leads me to believe that the inventory changes over quickly. I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were so reasonable. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t snap up the gorgeous pair of bright green leather gloves — like new — for $ 7. I hope the next person who admired them was faster to act than I was. Looking forward to my return next time I need a funky bargain fix — which is pretty much all the time.

My daughter and I stopped in here, after spending two days of thrift shopping multiple places in Portland. This was her favorite place by far! She wanted me to mention that the prices are even cheaper than the Goodwill, and there is a huge selection. I was also very happy, and found seven or eight tops to wear to work from Jones New York, Banana Republic, & Trina Turk. Very nice Steph, and a fun place to shop!

I’m reviewing this on the consignment tip. Years ago, I would bring items I was unable to sell elsewhere to Rerun as something of a last resort but at least a hopeful one. They have a lot of goods that compliment mine and seem (ed) to fetch decent prices, which are generally split 50 – 50. I remember doing pretty darn well some months here. Items then go on sale after a month or two, then what doesn’t sell gets donated. All sounds great so far. Very typical policies so nothing to complain about there. It’s all on the up and up as far as that goes.
So I brought a box of items in after Christmas and most everything was accepted, a good sign. I’m guessing they took 25 items (or so). There were just a couple of things they didn’t take. I walked out of the store feeling confident that I have a good eye for the things that do well in their store. Might have even pulled a muscle from patting myself on the back so hard. Coulda happened.
Anyhoodz, a month or so later, I decided to check to see how much had sold and I was told I had around $ 50 to pick up. Sounded okay so I went to get it a week after that. Before I went to the register and get my Jacksons & Hamiltons, I looked around the store, curious to see if any of my things are there and what they might be selling for as well as items I might want in trade. Well, I didn’t see anything of mine. I thought maybe more had sold since I called? When I talked to an associate, I found out my total had only increased slightly. I was curious to see what all they had sold so they pulled the screen over to show me. I was somewhat shocked at what I saw.
There were a lot of listings on the screen but none were labelled in a way that I could figure out what item was what. It just read «household goods» or some such. Quelle vague. The stuff I had taken to sell was mostly acquired from thrift shopping and deemed (by me) to have value beyond the price that Goodwill had put on them so what I noticed next astounded me. The list showed what was owed to me from each sale. The majority of the amounts were $ 1.50, meaning they sold them for $ 3. The highest amount I saw was $ 6. I’m sure most of these things I paid more than $ 3 for and here I was losing half or more on every one.
Here is the crux of my complaint: the prices are TOO LOW. Great for the customers, no doubt, but they aren’t even trying to get higher dollar amounts from the jump. As with nearly any retail operation, you don’t start an item out with a close-​out price. You start higher and then, if it doesn’t sell, you come down in price. They have the sale part baked in to the process but the initial prices are practically giving your items away. Me no like one bit.
The other part of the problem is this. There’s no paper trail for your items. It’s up to you to remember (if you care) what items they took. You don’t even get a slip saying how many items they agreed to consign. The listings on the sales sheet are all generically labelled so you really cannot see what item sold for what. I realize this would be extra work for them but a small description of the sold item would be SO HELPFUL. They do write out such information on the price tag so they do put some thought into it, just not on the back end. It seems to me, in this day and age, with imaging and data storage being as easy and cheap (respectively) as they are, more could be done to document the lifecycle of your items. Even if it were only to provide practical information, it would be a nice service to your consigning customers. It just gets too nebulous once they take everything off your hands.
The staff are all super nice and I do like the store as a customer but since my main interest in going here is consigning, I can’t recommend it for anything other than taking things that you think you can maybe eke out a buck or two on rather than donate. I really thought that with the ambience and style Rerun has, items would command a greater (yet still reasonable) price but as it turns out, they sell things for even less than Goodwill which has a fraction of the charm. I’ve probably taken my last batch of goods here.

One of the other places in portland that takes my brand of clothes (urban). This is the only co-​signment place I’ve been that is diverse and even treats their customers with respect and not racist. I think because the neighbor is changing everyone is hippie like they are more down to earth, which I like.
Always friendly and usually can find some steals in there. Their furniture selection is usually the thing I shop there for… happy its in the area.
My only compliant is that sometimes one buyer will (not buy) your items and then I’ll go 2 – 3 weeks later and get someone else to accept it! I just wish they all followed the same guidelines.

O M to the G. This place is fantastic. I’m almost scared to write a review because you might go and steal all my future purchases. I found a BRAND NEW formal dress for $ 24.00. I found a dress form I’ve been looking for — for months. It was $ 28.00. I paid quick in fear they would change the price on me. I found the staff very friendly and I plan to become a regular.

Really cute little resale shop with an eclectic mix of vintage and «gently used» clothing, household items, furniture, and collectibles. Really nice selection of vintage linens! Prices were a little high, but the service was friendly. Look at the 50% tables for extra savings.

I really like Rerun in terms of its stock, but every single time I have been there the staff has been rude, pretentious and less than inviting. I would give them four stars for their items and even most of its pricing is reasonable, but when you ruin a customer’s experience it makes stars go away. Kind of like a great restaurant that serves amazing food, but has a sh** staff, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. So to speak.
My unsolicited advice is to chill out hipsters, it’s a resale shop, not Saks Fifth Avenue. It’s so bad it makes me not want to go there anymore. If you’ve read my reviews, then you know I am fair and responsible in my Unilocal reviews, but this repeatedly happens and I’m over Rerun.

Love this spot! I enjoyed looking at all the retro furniture, vintage clothes, records & vintage kitchen stuff. Left with a few records and a pair of shoes for my 1 year old and spent under $ 15

I LOVEEEEDDDD this place. I love thrifting. Was visiting Portland for the brew fest & of course had to check out some thrift stores! This place has a lot of neat stuff. You’re bound to find SOMETHING that you like. Clothes, furniture, etc. Staff is friendly as well. A bit cramped, but that only means there’s more to choose from! Only regret, not having more time to look around. I did find quite a few things, though. Check out my haul!

This is another «how have I waited so long to write this» review. I discovered Rerun my first week in Portland. I worked across from Emanuel Hospital and took my lunch hours to check out vintage stores and goodwills — which were touted to be so good in Portland.
I loved Rerun from the get go. A little of everything, and so nicely displayed. It’s a little crowded — stuffwise, but not so bad. Outside there’s furniture and other discounted items. It’s not super cheap, but you can get a quality piece of vintage furniture for $ 20 or so if you look hard enough.
Clothing is generally good quality stuff and in excellent shape — they are picky. They have large size stuff as well. A nice jewelrey shelf always has a good mix of handmade, vintage and funky more modern stuff. I always find a silly nick-​nack I can’t do without — like the shiny silver Oregon ashtray I bought.
I sell my stuff to them every so often. I stop in every couple months and I usually make enough money to do some shopping! I ask for my handmade jewelry to be returned if not sold, and I’m not completely sure it is… But anyway — I do like htis place!
