I took my first drum lesson from Lisa at Revival today, and am beyond impressed with her fluidity, competence, and kindness. Learning drums for me is not just signing up for lessons on a new instrument, it is my allowing myself to have something that I’ve always wanted. I’d never even sat at a kit before walking into the lesson room, and left feeling at ease, and well on my way.
In the shop itself, there’s a wall of snare drums, and so many different kinds of percussive instruments available, a rhythm playground. The staff is knowledgable and light-​hearted, with none of the pretentiousness I’ve experienced at other music shops: the first time I walked in, weeks ago, the guy there handed me a stick and said, «just bang on things, and see what inspires you.» Where else do you hear that?
I doubt I’ve ever so looked forward to the humility of being a beginner.

Was looking for a child’s Remo drum. They didn’t have it but the staff was friendly and helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

Revival Drum Shop doesn’t have the best selection in town, and they don’t really have deals or discount anything in their stock.
What they have are the drums you can’t find anywhere else: Gretsch, Ludwig, Camco, Slingerland. All vintage, all cherry, all tuned and all scrubbed and polished.
The modern period is represented by the likes of C and C and Q drums (one kit each), but really, this shop is all about golden era –mostly American made– rock and jazz sets.
It’s like a museum, but you can purchase the exhibits. If you mortgage your house. Whatever– if you want the best (of anything) you should be prepared to pay.
Staff is super helpful and friendly, and owner Jose knows his stuff.

Such an amazing experience! As a younger but experienced drummer, I go into most music stores and they don’t treat me with the same respect as they would with an older gentleman, but revival, was the complete opposite.
I walked in to that amazing shop and was treated very well!
I was respected as a drummer, and that was very nice to have the same level of respect as would an adult. The shop is truly stunning, a drummers paradise, and I will defiantly be buying most, if not all my future equipment from revival. By far the best place for your drum and percussive needs, in the pacific north west!

Great drum shop! All the great classic kits here. Owner is cool and loves to talk drums and is very knowledgeable about the history and is dedicated to preserving the legacy. They have a great selection of snare drums (most hard to find) I could hang out here all day.

I just picked up the 3rd kit I’ve purchased from Revival and I couldn’t be more stoked. These guys always have the coolest stuff in their shop at extremely fair prices. Their also extremely helpful with hardware needs and repairs. Best drum shop in the NW!
