Decent and convenient airport food. Both the wrap and salad were large enough to split between two people. Our order didn’t come out all at the same time, and the wait was considerable.

Not your ordinary airport food. First, the prices are really reasonable. An Anything omelette and a soda was $ 10.75. To put into context, that’s a bottle of water and a bag of chips anywhere else in the airport. The lady at the counter said they charge the same price inside the airport as out. I wish that was a law. Lol Second, I saw a few comments on here about rude staff. I disagree. They are very nice. However, they are very very busy and they are moving the line fast. Sorry that they don’t have time to stop everything for everyone so you can feel special. The world does not revolve around you. Just make your order and step on down. So many entitled brats in this world. Uggghh. If you want a sit down restaurant atmosphere, go to a sit down restaurant. Lastly, the food was good. Good portions. Good quality. Good taste. Not amazing, but I would eat here again and again if I’m at PDX. It’s a nice breakfast at McDonald’s airport prices. Oh, and you can get refills on the soda. That’s worth another $ 5. Lol

Incredibly rude and surly staff, and don’t get your hopes up about a burger because even though it’s printed in plain English on a GIANTBOARDRIGHTINFRONTOFTHECAFE, that’s an «outdated menu». Spoken like I should have known that and how disgusting of me to ask for a burger. Thanks for making an already annoying experience just a little more annoying.

Riverfront Café is along the river and by «river» I mean the people mover in Terminal C at PDX. Riverfront Café in the Portland Airport offers panini sandwiches, wraps, salads, and such for travelers in Terminal C. It’s convenient and quick … which is probably all you really want while waiting on your flight. What surprised me about the Riverfront Café was the happy crew behind the counter and the awesome service as they made a custom panini for me. Yay for customer service! A Ham & Swiss Panini with Pesto Sauce and Jalapeños was what the friendly lady behind the counter recommended. It came with a side and I chose the Feta Pasta Salad from the 5 – 6 options. The bread wasn’t awesome, but the sandwich oozed cheese and goodness which made it yumessy(yummy & messy). There are worse options for airport food than this. When you want to keep it simple, quick, and yumessy, choose Riverfront Café.

As far as airport breakfasts go, all I have to say is, «Winner, winner, chicken dinner.» I ordered the breakfast burrito and not only did it taste great, but it was more than ample(I couldn’t finish the whole thing), hot, and it came out in a timely manner. It wasn’t the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, but it was probably the best airport breakfast I’ve ever had. The breakfast burrito came with a side of fruit or potatoes. My husband opted for the fruit and I for the potatoes. Both were satisfying and tasty. They also had big bottles of water so I stocked up for the flight home and also bought a box of frosted min-wheat to snack on in-flight. Overall, a wonderful experience — a great pick in an airport that’s clearly full of options.

It’s 6.15am here and I’m at PDX to catch an early morning flight to SFO. Maybe it’s jet lag but my stomach is demanding to be fed Following a research trip walking around the entire airport looking at menus(hey, I like looking at menus), I settled on the breakfast burrito with fruit salad as the best compromise between price and carb to healthy food ratio At the risk of alienating my US friends, I have to confess I don’t generally like burritos — they usually taste like mixed up mush in my mouth rather than having definite flavours However, I was pleasantly surprised here. The warm burrito contained scrambled egg(even if it cane strangely as a slice of egg), bacon, avocado, tomato and cheese. The creamy egg and avocado was offset by the crispy bacon I love fruit salad and the sweet fruit was a nice way to get rid of the carb load

I just got the seasonal ‘crunchy kale salad’ before my red-eye to NY. The salad was MASSIVE and a great airport value at $ 6.45. The fiber and fresh veggies filled me up and will keep me feeling good until the morning.

I would normally give a place like this 3 stars, however, its at the airport, healthy and affordable. Its a solid 4 stars by location. This is the type of place you’d find in a small neighborhood in Portland where there are good salads and wraps. At first glance, the appearance of a «Subway» clone is deceiving. The BBQ salad or spicy chicken salad is healthy, huge and fresh. I ask for a sliced fresh jalapeño and they do it for me. Also the breakfast sandwich is grand. Fresh bacon, avocado, fluffy eggs wrapped up. I select the cottage cheese as a side and I throw it right inside the wrap with hot sauce. A champion’s breakfast.

Pros: healthy and a good value Cons: not 5-star taste but probably because of healthy compromise. Both my BLTA on sourdough and quinoa salad were good but not great

Riverfront Café’s offerings are alright for airport food. The servers are alright, neither friendly nor unfriendly. Their offering are quite reasonable, though, since your orders come with a side of salad. I ordered the ham and cheese with pesto pasta salad. The ham and cheese tasted good but they will never win any gourmet awards(well, if you are expecting such food at the airport, I think you are being unreasonable, anyway). On the other hand, the pesto pasta salad had great flavor, but the pasta was a little overcooked and soggy. They are quite generous with the servings, though. I think Riverfront Café is a great place to get food when in PDX.

The breakfast paninis are MONEY. So good! Great to grab right before a flight and ate on the plane as their not smelly. However, I have been disappointed by other meals here. I mostly stick to it for breakfast and then find somewhere else to eat for lunches or dinners spent in PDX.

Best place to come if you want a cold omelette and a bad Bloody Mary. They had to go in the back for 10 minutes to even see if they had the right ingredients to Make one, even though they had a sign advertising them out front. We finally got our Bloody Mary’s(which tasted like something you’d get in a frat house) and waited for our omelette. The omelette was completely cold, and the avocados and cheese on it were cold. What can I say, it was an anti-climactic, arctic meal. Try Gustav’s when your dining at the airport instead.

The husband and I had an early flight back from Portland; and anytime we see and airport with the word«international» in it’s name we know that we must arrive a week a head of scheduled to get through the TSA lines. So, by the time we cleared security we were Starving Marvin, we decided to get some food here which happened to be directly across from out gate C6 and didn’t have much time to spare before our plane started boarding… and quite frankly those midget size snacks you get on the plane were just not going to suffice. We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich on sourdough(make sure you specify sandwich because apparently there is a ham & cheese omelet and panini), a spicy chicken wrap and two coffees which all amounted to about $ 18…and we know how ridiculously overpriced airport food it. And I must admit I was pleasantly surprise with the amount of food you get. My wrap was ginormous I couldn’t finish the 2nd half. It could have used a little more zest and spice but it was fresh and tasty… again considering this is airport food we are talking about even hospital food has more personality. My husband well he swallowed his sandwich, not sure if it was the taste or the hunger. But he really liked the coffee. I very much liked the freshness of the the food. The girl who took our order and prepared our food was a doll, the cashier well she probably needed more sugar in her morning coffee. But overall again considering it is airport food it was quite good. But as I mentioned I was really pleased with their portions. So, next time you’re in gate C6(or the surrounding area) give this café a shot, not too shabby.

I have no idea how the actual food is here but the cream of chicken soup was crazy amazing. It was truly the BEST cream of anything soup I have ever had. Makes me wish I didn’t live clear across the country:/

I got the chopped BBQ chicken salad after seeing the dude’s in front of me. Wrong choice. The chicken was still cold and tough. As was the BBQ sauce it was smothered in. Also, I had asked for no dressing but I guess the server didn’t think BBQ sauce was a «dressing» considering he squeezed out almost half a bottle of it on top of my salad as a finishing touch.

My last meal in Portland was at the airport. I made sure I got a salad this time. My body was craving for some vegetables. The salad was good for what it was. Most importantly it was healthy and not fried!

Having been to many airports and trying many different airport restaurants that are indigenous to that airport or area I’d definitely consider myself a fan after having breakfast at the RFC. I had an early morning flight and some time to kill so I figured I’d start my day with their Breakfast Burrito: and it was actually a pretty good interpretation of this dish. You have to really love potatoes to love this dish though… like seriously Idaho and Ireland would be so proud because even though you are given an option for a side… if you ask for potatoes then you will get a fairly good size portion on the side AND inside their burrito! This burrito comes with Scrambled Eggs, Potatoes, Salsa, Guacamole, and Cheese all rolled up in a Flour Tortilla. I enjoyed the burrito, but could not finish it. I ended up taking out some of the potatoes and simply could not even entertain the idea of even making a dent in my side. Service by everyone working was expedient, kind, and cheerful despite how early it was! They have seating inside their little restaurant as well as on their«patio.» I checked out their whole menu and the whole thing looked both healthy and delicious. Their prices are pretty average and you have to love that there is no sales tax in Oregon!

Chinese Chicken Wrap: Grilled chicken breast, romaine, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, green onion, shredded carrots, crispy wonton, tossed almonds, sesame ginger dressing served with choice of potato chips or pasta salad($ 7.75). Sounds a lot better than what I actually got. It turned out to be a salad wrapped up plus cold pasta on the side. Nothing too impressive, but I was just looking for something fast to eat at the airport before my flight.

Riverfront Café is inside the airport security check point. Menu is pretty standard, quality is pretty average and the food is inexpensive. I had a breakfast burrito here with avocado with a side of cottage cheese for $ 5.75 no tax. Good value. If you are running late for your flight, this is a quick place to grab something to go.
