Serendipity Espresso

I ordered a sugar-​free nonfat vanilla latte here. Looking at the menu, I expected to pay $ 3.05, but was only charged $ 2.65. Not that I’m complaining or anything…
A nice latte here. The espresso really shone through, balanced out with the sweetness of the milk and the vanilla. I thought the drink was slightly lukewarm, a bit more temperature-​hot would have been ideal. Regardless, a satisfactory experience overall! I like that this cart has sugar-​free and nonfat options for the more health-​conscious foodie.
I also received a few chocolate-​covered coffee beans to enjoy with my drink. Coffee and chocolate, a great combination indeed!
While the cart owners were not there on my visit, I received great service from their fill-​in, a young woman. Serendipity Espresso is a great food cart to get your caffeine fix!

The holidays are bound to be happy @ Serendipity Espresso, where the Eggnog Latte is one of the best in PDX!

Mmmmm coffeeeee! These guys are one of the best coffee places yet in Portland (and my husband and I are coffee snobs). We have stopped driving to stumptown and other little shops and opted for this cart.
The couple that runs it is super friendly. The Mocha Frappé is delish! I go light on the chocolate and after two visits they always remember my drink. I will have to throw them off by ordering something different next time.
They are located in a newer food cart pod called Cartlandia on the springwater trail and SE 82^nd. Mostly when we go there it is early and the other carts are not open for food. These guys have added oatmeal options and they were cooking up some yummy crepes occassionally. Really reasonably priced as well.
It is really nice to see these small business owners providing local options in the land of chains. I really hope the neighboring residents and businesses support them so they stick around.
(btw Andrea who ordered the smoothie… the name is Serendipity ESPRESSO — I don’t know of any other coffee place that serves smoothies with real fruit… since they are coffee shops. Feel free to let me know of a place that has great coffee AND fresh smoothies, would like to find a local alternative to Jamba)

Strawberry smoothie — very disappointing… It’s middle of summer berry season and this smoothie tastes very artificial… :(

This is such a fun Espresso cart! They do a great job with the drinks and have excellent customer service! They will even bring it to your car (this is in a POD of food carts) or I heard them offer to bring drinks to a bank if they called and ordered!!!
The POD is sooo fun as well — they have big screen TV with sports, games for kids and GREAT food trucks!
