Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

Hotel smells of damp carpet, and the rooms are not sound proof at all. A noisy neighbor at woke us up at 4:30am; avoid if you want a good night’s sleep. The rooms look very old and the our room’s a/​c made an annoying noise all night (room 128). We were there for 3 nights and they did not service our room even once. We had to call housekeeping on the last day at 7:00pm when we returned and request a service.

This hotel is very close to the airport. They offer you ear plugs but I did not need to use them. The hotel in general is clean.
I like that they have a gym with a separate space for yoga, dance etc. The pool and workout area is open 24 hours which is great. The pool is indoors and is small. There is a jacuzzi and sauna. I love the sauna. There is a shower and locker right next to the sauna.
There is a full bar near the lobby but the menu for their food is very limited and pricey. I rather go out to eat.
The guest service was ok. We requested rooms next to our family and for some reason that did not happen.

Got in a bit later than expected. Shuttle was prompt and the driver friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk never greeted me, never thanked me for being a Platinum member he just swiped my credit card and handed it back saying here you go. I was handed my room keys and that was it. Not being from the Northwest maybe this is normal. A bit weird to me as I stay at SPG properties all over the world. When I checked out the clerk couldn’t have been more pleasant so maybe the guy the night before was just tired. Tough industry I know. Not sure I could do it myself.
Hotel is nice albeit old. Rooms are nice furnished and spacious. The bathrooms are very small and tight. There was a nice plate of sweets and a card in my room thanking me for being a Platinum member. Very nice touch.
Concierge lounge opened at 0530. By 0600 it was still being set up and everything put out. I just grabbed a yogurt and coffee since I had an early flight. Attendant working the lounge was pleasant and professional.
Gym is small and gets crowded quickly. Pool looked nice but water had an interesting color to it.
Overall not a bad place if you need to stay by the airport. Be mindful that this hotel sits adjacent to an active runway so the earplugs are on the nightstand for a reason.

I had a good experience at the hotel. My daughter and I went swimming in the salt water pool. I did not love the salt water, super drying. Star bucks coffee in the rooms, made it all better.

This is a bare bones hotel. The mattress needed to be changed. The amenities were very basic. The room did not have a refrigerator. The hotel is next to the runway and when planes used it, one could hear the noise. The air-​conditioning did not work properly. Neither did the television reception. The food at the restaurant was good.

I am just checking out today after a 6-​nite stay for the Art and Soul event. The entire staff at this hotel — front desk, restaurant, housekeeping — provided excellent, friendly and professional customer service. Thank you very much. Looking forward to returning. :-)

This hotel is in need of some serious upgrades. I booked this hotel for my family’s trip to Ca, as a quick overnighter. The room had many water spots on the ceiling that looked like they were patched from recent leaks. The carpet smelled a little musty, which we expected after seeing the celing. When they say you are right at the airport, they aren’t kidding. When my kids sat and ate a snack before bed they really enjoyed watching the planes take off right outside the window. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we slept considering the noise, so they did a good job there. I will say that the staff was very friendly and helpful! I booked the park and fly package which was convenient, but I will definatley be checking out other hotels the next time we catch a flight out of Portland. This wasn’t up to Sheraton standards. This hotel needs some renovations stat!

Nice enough lobby. Check in was okay. The food at the grill is god awful. Frozen meat on the burger that took them 45 minutes to get to me probably because it was still frozen. Not up to SPG standards. They offer serve to Cascade Station so go there to eat. Better yet, use the Aloft and you won’t need to wait around for a shuttle.
Got upgraded to a suite. A circuit barker kept popping in my bathroom so it kept me awake. Was annoying. There lounge is a joke. They do offered free beer and wine. I don’t drink. The free breakfast is cold cereal and bakery stuff wrapped in plastic. It’s gross.
Stay at the Aloft.
Wonder why Marriott bought SPG…

For an airport Hotel, it really is great. Clean rooms, nice bathroom and linens. Very friendly and helpful front desk, check in guy. Large television in room. No mini fridge or microwave, but I’m guessing they would bring you a cooler if need be. Nice bar area and reasonably priced wines by the glass. MY FAVORITE feature was the SHOWER, I JUST GOT OUT OF… Much pressure and I didn’t even want to get out! BEST shower I have been in, in a long time~!

There were some major ups & major downs at my stay here last weekend. We were here for an ACS Relay for Life Summit. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes so we were able to hop right on. It was nice to not have to call.
Our room appeared clean, but once we looked closer… yikes. We opened the closet to put our bags away & there was a mound of dirty towels on the floor. We left the closet doors open the following morning for room service to pick them up, but they were still there when we checked later that day! Out of three dim lights in the bathroom, 2 were burnt out. Being this is the only mirror in the room, doing makeup was not an easy task. The worst part was the hair dryer. I have long hair and it takes a while to dry. Their hair dryer would over heat every 2 – 3 minutes and shut up… I would have to wait for a while… then turn it back on… for like 2 minutes… then it would shut off again. Nightmare!
Our view from 518 was amazing. It was like we were literally ON THE RUNWAY. We could see every plane landing and taking off. It was a little bit noisy, but I loved it.
The part of the hotel that put on our event was great. The breakfast every morning was amazing! They set out milk and cookies for snacks in the evenings and always had water and tea ready.
SHOUT OUT TO CURTIS THE BAR TENDER!

Rocky the Bartender is Absolutely Amazing! I have been going to this bar for years for one reason, and one reason only, and that is Rocky. He is always so nice to me and my Fiancé. He remembered our names, drinks and even the previous things we’ve chatted about in the past no matter how long it is in between visits. He makes the best Margarita that I have ever had and I will continue to eat and drink at this bar as long as Rocky is there!
He also does quite a bit of entertaining with some slide of hand magic tricks as well as being a pretty funny guy!
Thanks Rocky for the years of GREAT Service! You are the man!

I booked this as a random hotel deal on a wholeseller site. I was very nervous because of the reviews on Unilocal.the people on the main desk were professional and nice. I must first say that i did upgrade my room to include 24\7 club access for the extra 30 a night. The room was clean. Indoor pool and jacuzzi. The ²⁴⁄₇ access to food, drinks and snacks was great. worth it. We heard no noise whatsoever from neighbors or airport. I removed one star because they do chage 10 for parking each night stay.

Two stars because of guest services. I arrived for training, and my reservations were already messed up from what was discussed when making them. On the last day of sessions, I rudely found out that they checked me out, when my door key wouldn’t work. Flight was supposed to leave out before dawn the next day, but they said they were booked up, but I they could accommodate me for $ 320.00 for eight hours. This was more than half as much more than my room rate was previously.
As for the room and accommodations, was very nice, very little luxuries in the room. Coffee, TV and a robe was it. The gym was nice, there is a little spa, and a indoor swimming pool. If not for the horrible customer service, it wouldn’t have been a bad stay.

I was here for an event. Nice enough hotel from what I saw of it. Can’t hear the nearby airport noise from the conference rooms. Staff at front desk was friendly. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby if you like Starbucks.

I’m giving 2 stars because I can’t give 2.5. Why stay at an airport hotel? Because you are exhausted, desperate or going to some type of conference. I made a reservation at the last minute on Hotwire for a «hot rate» great deal. No deal found here. The carpet and wallpaper were stained and dirty. I have to say the pillows and linens, which are most important, are clean and comfy. so are the towels. But the headboard got left behind by the 80’s. And, let’s just say I wiped everything down with sanitizer.
There is a bar/​restaurant and my salad was cold and decent. However, the female bartender was harassed in the bar by a dude from the kitchen that was not very happy.
I can hear every move made by my next door neighbor.
Next time, I’ll travel a little further or down a little more.

Normally we love the Sheraton, but this time really changed my outlook towards them.
I was walking down the hall and thought I saw something move on the ground little did I know it was a COCKROACH! So like any traveling citizen I let the employment people know. Where they continued to inform the maintenance man. He came in to the hall way, stepped on it, then proceeded with his night. WITHOUT picking up the now dead COCKROACH! I’m sorry but I just think that that’s disgusting!

I used to have a negative opinion about Sheraton until recently when I stayed at the Sheraton in Anaheim and now this one. They really stepped up their game with updated rooms, comfy meeting areas, gourmet restaurants and improved indoor pool/​spa facilities.
I was breezing through Portland on my way to see my grandparents in Idaho. Learned not long before my flight that the time had changed and I wouldn’t be checking in until 10pm, called the hotel and they were fine with that. I arrived thanks to a great on-​demand shuttle service to and from the airport, walked up to the counter and got a warm greeting even as late as it was. Not long after I was on my way to my room on the top floor considerably away from the elevators (it’s recommended especially when there’s kids staying in the hotel racing to get to the elevator). I settled in and quickly fell asleep in what they call the «Sweet Sleeper Bed» because the comfort levels are off the chain!
Morning came quicker than I had anticipated so I decided to grab a bit at the café downstairs then casually get my stuff together for an early afternoon flight to Boise. When I was ready the desk called for a shuttle for me and I waited less than 5 mins, got to the airport with time to spare and happily was on my way!
I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely consider Sheraton as I travel in the future!

Over a long weekend of traveling through Washington and Oregon we stayed at 3 different hotels and this was by far the best. They were all in the same price category but compared to this location the others were more in the league of Motel 6. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted by several employees. The bartender was extremely nice and offered several suggestions on drinks. The pool area was clean and it was nice to take a quick dip.
The room was in great shape, clean and well maintained and it was a bit above average in size for the category. We’ll certainly stay here in two weeks when we come back up.

Here for a day conference. The parking is plentiful and easily accommodates the folks staying at the hotel and participants for the conference. The rooms were comfortable and actually at a temperature that was comfortable. The rooms were set up well and the sound system was great — no problems hearing all of the speakers. The provided lunch was typical chicken and salad — bland as mass produced food as expected. The staff were very respectful and were quick to respond to requests. Nice place to have a conference — you can take a break and watch the planes land and take off.

Here for another conference, aside from not enough bathrooms to accommodate a conference crowd, I have no complaints. The sound system is solid, and tech help is readily available for the bumps, if there are bumps.
The food is okay – salads and chicken for lunch this time. It’s nothing special, but they offered a gluten free only food line, which is convenient and important for folks with severe reactions to cross contamination.
The space is a bit dated but clean and functional. People who work here are efficient and helpful. For an organizer’s point of view, Sheraton is easy and pleasant to work with as well.
