While the food is ok you don’t get a lot for your money. $ 8 for a chicken sandwich basket with two sad pieces of chicken on it. I treated myself to lunch and feel I got ripped off! Won’t try this place again.

Why 2 stars? Because there’s nothing worse than a cold mac-n-cheese bite. — — — We’ve all experienced it as kids — heating up a hot pocket in the microwave, only to discover an unpleasantly cold center. Few things in our culinary lives are worse. I’m not sure what it is about food when cold that makes it so disgusting, but I experienced this first-hand at Sin Wagon. The guy was friendly enough, but unfortunately, so were the hoodlums that were hanging out near this particular truck. Some shady business was definitely going down as we our food was cooking. This is probably why our mac-n-cheese bites were not cooked properly. So yeah… a nice welcome to Portland this was for us. It got much better, but it wasn’t a great start. What’s up with the aggressive bums, PDX?

Fried tater tots from Sin Wagon are a great way to end an evening :)

Simple menu of assorted fried foods, large portions and good tasting chicken and fries and the fact that it’s open late while every other food cart is closed on a Friday night make this a clear winner.

I’m definitely not a fan of American cuisine, but I am a fan of someone who’s friendly and has some good customer service skills. Since I’m not a fan of American cuisine I came across this food cart through a Groupon Now while I was downtown and hunger hit. The guy was super nice to make me a healthier version of the Chicken Strip Sandwich and I appreciated that. The sandwich was pretty flavorful and most importantly was not at all greasy, which is a big turn off for me.

The stars of this wagon are the deep friend mushrooms and the friendly service. The guy running the cart is super nice. Always pleasant. The food is cooked to order, so it takes a few minutes to get your food. The mushrooms are your normal large white button mushrooms that have been freshly battered. The batter has a great taste and the mushrooms get fully cooked through. I’ve had two different sandwiches here and unfortunately have been a little underwhelmed by them. The burger is rather pedestrian. The steak tender sandwhich was hard for me to eat as they deep fry the beef. I didnt end up finishing that one. I’d give the Sin Wagon a chance, especially if you like a good deep fry.

I caught a cold on Sunday and have been suffering all week from the cough and sniffles. When I get sick, really crave comfort food. A coworker got some fries from Sin Wagon and brought them back to the office. As soon as I smelled their crispy goodness, I wanted some. A quick google search and I had the menu. Fries or tots for $ 2. Not a bad deal. Better yet add gravy or chili for an extra buck. I walk over and order the chili cheese fries. The cook asked if I want onions. I said hell yes. We’re going all out here. Service was courteous and fairly quick. He handed me an 8“x8″ box with the fries and chili inside. I’m was thinking this is going to be good. I take the trip back to my office and open the box o’ goodness. Inside was a mound of golden fries with lots of sticky, gooey chili with melted cheese on top. A handful of chopped onions sprinkled on top of that boost the flavor. I take my first bite… mmm…excellent. I had to add a bit more red pepper to kick up the heat(the cold kills my taste buds), but other than that it was perfect. The bottom line: Service: *** Food: **** Price: **** 3.6 round up to 4.

Since Food Carts Portland did a write-up several weeks back, I was on a mission for some fried mac and cheese balls($ 4 for about five balls). Yes, you saw correctly: fried mac and cheese balls. If there ever is a cheat meal on an athlete’s horizon, this sounds like a good start to said meal. Not surprisingly, it’s the most popular menu item. There are three options for the fried mac and cheese balls: the«classic»(just mac and cheese), incorporate some jalapeño, or add bacon. I asked Chad(the cart owner) if it was possible to take BOTH the bacon and the jalapeño. An affirmative response! Thank you! Best of both worlds! Chad apparently hadn’t prepared the mac and cheese balls for the fryer yet, so we basically chatted to pass the time. The mac and cheese(with bacon and jalapeño) is formed into a ball, then egg wash and Italian bread crumbs. Chad used to freeze the mac and cheese balls beforehand, but learned they take more time to cook(as opposed to unfrozen product). A few minutes in the fryer, and my custom order was ready. OK, so I thought this was just a side snack, but these were some fairly nice-sized balls(keep your mind outta the gutter!). The thin fried layer possessed that incredible golden brown color, encapsulating a shelled pasta mac and cheese inside. Despite being fried, the mac and cheese balls were not greasy, a sign of ideal frying. The jalapeño added color, crunch, and heat. Do we even need to describe what bacon added? We can say«Bacon FTW!» and call it a day. I think extra crispy bacon is the only thing that would improve my experience. It’s merely a personal preference, and there’s a skill to making bacon crispy without completely rendering it to carbon. But yup, this was a damn good snack(yes, I ate elsewhere before this). Sin Wagon also offers sandwiches, burgers, and wraps(usually around $ 6 to $ 7). Also consider«Bacon and Bleu Jalapenos»($ 4) as a side dish. Chad’s desserts include Baby Elephant Ears($ 3), chocolate chip cookies($ 1), and Ghirardelli chocolate brownies($ 1). Hit up Sin Wagon ASAP!

I love food carts, but this was is just not okay. The service was insanely slow. The staff looked like he was high or something. The food was so salty that, despite being incredibly hungry, I could not eat it. I had to throw it away – and it was about $ 7 for some chicken strips and fries. My fiancé said his burger was okay, but not worth the price. I will not be back and would advise others to avoid.
