Went in here to try out some darts… I’m tired of all the tired bar darts and figured this would be a good place to check out and plunk down for my very own set. Well…they are closing at the end of the month after being in business for 36 years! Lost their lease — it more than doubled so they are calling it quits. 20% off everything plus they gave us a big bag of free flights! The lady working the counter said her parents started the business and she has worked there since she was 9. WOW. I feel like I stumbled upon a slice of old Portland and am honored to have witnessed it. It is definitely weird with a capital W. No kidding. Go there before it’s gone! GO!

Dart stores are rare things indeed. Hell, darts themselves aren’t exactly the most popular of pastimes, even in Portland, where the weird are acceptable. For the most part, when you go to a store that claims to be a dart store, they have a few flights, maybe a set of tips and that’s pretty much it, buried in a larger gaming store. Not so here. Shelves of flights of all configurations, steel and soft tips, darts themselves, dart tools, this place is a dart aficionado’s wet dream. I think they have other gaming things available, but I didn’t look or notice. The darts take up the lion’s share of the store. The best part? Prices are really good! Seriously, I walked out with a fistful of flights and a new tip tool for under $ 20, and I mean a fistful. And not crap flights either, good ones. I wish they had more generous hours, but it’s work it to wait till weekend to go. Love this place.

After looking for an online store to find steel tip darts, I was curious to see if we had a dart supply store in Portland. Not only did I find one close-in S.E., but I found a shop with affordable accessories and friendly service. I was also able to pick up some foosballs and some extras for my game room. Affordable entertainment.
