Depending on who makes the pizza is the biggest factor in quality here. Generally it’s undercooked and has far too much cheese. Also the crust is a little too thick too most the time. So even though the pizza is often not great the staff is always pretty nice and they always have a football or basketball game on. If they work on slightly changing the pizza and then focus on across the board consistency this place would be great. But because of their location and Blazers games I’m still gonna give them a bunch of money every month. Oh, and clean the goddamn tables. It’s easy. Do it. Please.

The food was okay here. It was not excellent but it was not horrible. The price is reasonable for Portland and I appreciate being able to order things like pizza by the slice. But why two stars instead of more or less? One reason why is I ordered and paid, but the price was not what the website said. I know it was very close to what the website said but when I see a price listed on the website I expect to pay exactly what it says instead of having it rounded up to a little bit more without me choosing to give the extra beyond what the website posted. In a way, that comes across as being forced to give a tip without really being asked for a willing tip that I feel like giving. Additionally, when I order, I would like to have the employee ask me if I am ordering to eat in or to go instead of handing me everything in a to go container without asking me what I would like. I noticed that some people had their orders for eating in; I was hoping for a to go order and I luckily received it this way so I was happy that I did not have any need to ask for it to be changed to a to go order. I also thought that I typically don’t have employees switch off as I am ordering(one person took my order and another one took my money); this seemed a little awkward compared to other businesses. I typically am talking to one employee at places such as this one from the start of the order to the time I finish paying. Another thing that felt awkward was I ordered but the none of the employees said anything after I ordered until my food arrived. I had hoped that an employee would have told me that it would take some time so I would not be standing near the cash register until I figured out that it would take me about ten minutes to get my food. I did not know that it would take some time until I waited for a minute, especially with the fact that I saw some people coming in after I did and order after I did but they get their food before me. I found a seat when I figured it out but I typically have most employees actually tell me that it will take some time. I noticed that most of the other customers got their food within a few minutes of ordering, which was before I got mine. My order was an easier order than some of theirs, but I got mine after they got theirs. One other thing that happened was I saw another person come in and order after I ordered and buy the same thing that I did but he got his food first. I don’t know why this happened but I don’t appreciate this. At least I got the food at a good temperature. This was my first visit to this location, so it was not the best experience. I hope that this experience is not the«average» experience.

Hit or miss. Sometimes great, sometimes burnt. Ot is likely due to the fact that some of the people working there now are retarded dullards. The answer the phone .“hello?” Ummm. is this sparkys? «Huh»? Is this sparkys pizza? «Ohh, yeah, yeah this is sparkys. Lay of the weed dude.

This is a great location with plenty of outside(and inside) seating which is great in the summer time. The service was quick and friendly, which is always a big plus. The pizzas came out quickly and it was brought out to us even though we were sitting outside. The pizza was just ok, nothing special but not bad either. Some extra dipping sauce did greatly improve it. The breadsticks were a swing, and a miss. They were pretty soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside which was a great start, but it was all downhill from there. I had been told they would be slathered in buttery goodness, but these were plain bread. No additional flavors. Not even a hint of saltiness. Kinda disappointing, but they weren’t bad.

It was very decent Pizza and would reccomend it when in a hurry from one place to the other. I grabbed a slice going to the Wombats concert(Highly recommend that band by the way) and I don’t regret my decision. 3 stars I believe was very fair for this place, and I would only reccomend this when you’re looking for somewhere quick. What’s really nice is it’s cheap and you can buy pizza by the slice. TL;DR Nice when in a hurry and you need a quick(And relatively small) bite.

I love sparks pizza to death. I’ve been going here since I was a little kid to the location in sandy. When I arrived to the one off MLK there was no one in there, every table was dirty. I posted a picture of the finger nail clipping on the table

so I actually would give 5 starts for pizza and those amazing breadsticks but I have to subtract 5 stars for lack of cleanliness. Look right above this uncovered breadsticks and you can see an actual bike floating above you. Look closer at the bike and you can see gobs of filthy lint dust getting so heavy they could have faces, and names and are probably about to fall right into the delicious, sticky, uncovered breadsticks below. The nice, portland thing to do is to tell the business that this is a concern, which I did at approx 8 pm on March 6. I told the nice girl at the counter about my concerns and the observation was not lost on her either. Time is up! Recent updates from friends have included that filthy dusty bike is still gross. The top of the soda machine wasn’t much better. Super bummer because I liked going here and now a bunch of us don’t go anymore.

I just ordered for the first time. I haven’t tried the food yet. Based on the reviews, they really like giving black people food poisoning. I hope that’s not the case.

I’m a fan. Pizza is good; nothing special. Good looking staff. It’s just that place in the neighborhood where you go when you want a tall, cold Pabst and a pepperoni slice.

Love this place! $ 2 micros on Mondays coupled with $ 1.99 slices 8 ’til close = Monday tradition. AND… happy hour is 2 – 4 everyday! The pizza is New York-esque with lots of options; the Greek pizza is pretty awesome and the breadsticks are equally delicious. This is a very chill place to come hang out with some friends or even by yourself and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. To add to the vibe they have a shelf in the corner with a bunch of games; I highly recommend Mad Gab. I know that there are a few Sparky’s locations but this one is definitely my favorite!

Thanks for food poisoning. I heard great things about this place from friends. I decided to give it a shot. It was around 85 degrees inside, due to the sun. The pizza was dry and old. It just got worse from there. lets just say it was a great way to lose weight. Sorry Sparky’s, your quality control needs help.

So this was decent pizza. Not off the wall, best pizza and not necessarily New York pizza but it was good and I liked the pepperoni. Sparky’s has many pizza choices, from veggie to loaded up with meat. They have a Sicilian but not what one would expect coming from the East Coast. I think big square slices on a thick crust. They do their regular crust and the toppings they add make it «Sicilian». The same can be said about their«Chicago» pizza as well. It’s just a name, not the style of pizza. My opinion is to call it something else. Anyway, big slices, lots of pepperoni, the crust was a little doughy(I need to start telling shops, well done on pizzas like I did in Texas) The sauce needed something. Maybe salt. It’s not a place I’d go out of the way for, but if I’m up in Boise, it’s a good option for quick and inexpensive. Slices were in the $ 2.50−3.50 range and happy hour from 2 – 4 pm boasts two slices for $ 4. That could work for the locals. Enjoy.

Been going to Sparky’s for years and they always have great pizza and delicious beer on tap. It’s a local owner who manages everything and he is a great guy and the staff is friendly.

Decent amount of toppings. Too much crust for my liking. One piece pork was bland, but pep/sausage was very tasty. $ 8 for 2 slices and a pint though. Can’t beat that.

My beau came down from up north and said he’d be taking me out to a nice Italian dinner. This is where we ended up. cheapskate! However the pizza was really yummy. Maybe the best I had this year. Great crust and a really tasty sauce. I’m owed dinner at an expensive place.

The food is fine here, pizza is good enough. Not amazing, but you can buy it by the slice which is nice. I really like the giant 99 cent bead sticks. I like the location, and I like the shop with it’s big garage door that lets in a ton of light in the winter, and opens to the street in the Summer. So why three stars? I have never come here and felt like I was welcome. I have been here a handful of times and, more often than not, nobody notices I came in. I have to stand there awkwardly, and peek around trying to see if anyone is within view. When I finally get someone’s attention, they don’t apologize for the awkward situation, they never smile and often don’t even say hello. They just amble slowly up to the register and stand there looking under whelmed. This has happened with various employees over time, so I don’t know whether it is me or them, but it makes me avoid this place most of the time. I come back every 6 months our so to see if anything had changed. Still hoping one of these days it will.
