It’s a chain… The food is ok. Not bad. But never my first choice. I normally end up here for a lunch meeting. Sometimes there’s a nice special. The fish n chips are always good. The mac n cheese is usually good too. My wife enjoys the cocktails. The service is usually great. It’s better by far than Denny’s or sharis. The prices reflect that as well. Not expensive, but a little on the pricy side. Worth eating at.

OUTSTANDING! — not sure why the 3.5 rating but I must push it to a 4.5. The only reason it’s not a 5 is the price. However we certainly got what we expected and more. Perfection and delicious. Very nice facility, high quality. I had the chicken Dijon and my better half had the Mahi Romesco both were OUTSTANDING!

As always it started with classy atmosphere & elegance. Secluded booths for 2… Watch your step! Jose our server was excellent, with prompt attention and a creamy tone to his voice withheld my complaint. 24.99 for 6 Mac size pieces of lobster /snow crab is a bit chincy. Especially when advertising crab LegS the Lobster must have crawled away. The coffee nudge was just a pat on the shoulder. Merry Christmas to the entire staff. The Crème brulé is Divine !

I’m hit and miss on Stanfords. I used to frequent long before Unilocal was a thing, then took a decade long break before returning. The food is delicious, but I think a bit expensive for what they offer. I had a $ 31 lunch(post tip) the last time I checked in and only ordered a salad and glass of wine. That’s typically what my cheap a$$ spends on a dinner out for 2. Will I come here often? No, but when I do, at least I know what I’m in for! Side note– I once brought 10 people here for lunch 12 years ago when I was in the army. We were all in uniform. The chef purchased our meals and that was truly amazing. I do commend them for this and they deserve the recognition!

Hubbs and I frequent Stanford’s HH in the Clackamas Promenade. This review is for location specific. 2.5 stars maybe. We were greeted by the very mousy host, walked into the bar, sat a clean table and started looking over the menu. Hubs already knew that he wanted the chicken tenders and some bluecheese bbq sauce and a Stella. I on the other hand was telling a story so I didn’t know what I wanted yet(naturally). Waitress came back a few seconds later(finishing up my story) and out of pressure I ordered an iced tea, she asked me: «Well do you know what you want?» I’m sorry am I at taco-bell? Do you want chips with that attitude? –_– Ordered a few things off the HH menu, 2 things came out correctly, my plate came out wrong, then I waited for a few minutes for the right thing to come out. We had to ask multiple times for sauces, and water(which we never got) which is why the rating is low. The kicker is that it wasn’t even busy.

The food is really fine at this restaurant but the service is lacking. I have dined here about 4 times in the last 2 years, and the service(pardon my English) sucks. It must be a training issue. I have enjoyed the chicken, trout, and salmon dishes, but there is always a serving issue. Waiting for the meal, waiting for the server, waiting… Excuses that they are really busy, but 6 tables surrounding us are empty. Go figure. f

I lived in Oregon in the early 2000s and was lucky enough to live within walking distance of a Stanford’s. I remember it as a place with the best happy hour on the planet, and if it wasn’t happy hour, I could order anything on the menu and it would be awesome. I came to town this weekend and wanted to take my Nephew out for a nice dinner(appetizers, drinks, after dinner scotch, etc.) because he recently turned 21. My Nephew was born and raised in the Portland area and it should have been a red flag to me that he had never heard of nor been to a Stanford’s. Stanford’s looked just like I remember it and that staff was very friendly. I ordered the prime rib and my Nephew ordered a hamburger with french fries. The hamburger he ordered from the dinner menu looked like the one you used to be able to get at happy hour for a couple of bucks. My dinner sat under the heat lamps for so long that the top of the meat was dried out and the plate was so hot that it was actually cooking the meat past the temp that I ordered. I did not send my meal back. I figured that if a restaurant would actually let a plate leave the kitchen in that condition then it was time to cut my losses; I wanted to get out of there quickly so we could go somewhere else to get drinks and hang out. I was completely embarrassed that I had suggested Stanford’s. I have conservatively eaten at Stanford’s about one hundred times in the past. Saturday was the last time. Whoever bought this chain out and turned it into an Applebee’s clone: shame on you.

1 star for service. I had a terrible server.(I did sit in bar area) so maybe that makes a difference? I was given a menu,(I had to request the specials menu from different waitress). She came by literally 15 minutes later and asked if I wanted a drink or water. um… maybe just food at this point. Long story short, I received my food from the kitchen server who observed I had no water/drink or silverware yet.(35minute mark). At checkout, I was charged the wrong amount, she stated I seen the wrong menu. Umm… I was Given a menu by the better waitress, when you failed to do so! Food was 3stars I had the tenderloin special. Honestly due to service & price, Happy Hour is the only way to go at this location. At least under $ 20 merits mediocre food & terrible service. Also, Mac n cheese is $ 6 on HH menu. Best thing on menu!

The interior feels like this restaurant is from another era – it’s dark and old fashioned, maybe a place my grandparents might have enjoyed for a special occasion. I expected a lackluster experience but was giving into my daughter who was craving steak. I am happy to eat humble pie on my unwarranted predictions. The service was fine and almost perfectly paced until the end when we waited an extra 10 minutes for the server to return my card and receipt after we were ready to go. The food was very, very good. My cod fish without the chips was delicious, crispy, and piping hot. The extra slaw to make up for the fries was refreshing and crisp with a hint of lemon. It’s been a great slaw summer, by the way. My daughter’s steak salad was rich with fresh greens, perfectly prepared steak, creamy avocado, and smoky bacon. The warm, cheese covered roll had us both drooling and lamenting the fact that eating it would make us both feel sick for a week. Tempting, actually. Next time – and there will be a next time – we’ll remember to ask to not even bring out such temptations. Go – just know that this place belongs to another generation with an ear for Barry Mannilow. It just happens to be one of the best restaurants on Hayden Island.

Love this spot as a lunch time dining option. I work in the area & always receive spectacular service and a delicious entre. My favorite is the salmon Caesar. So good. It’s about $ 19.00, so a little spendy. The cheesy bread is just down right sinful and could easily become an addiction. You’ve been warned. =]

So me and my friends went here for prom dinner. Our server was Michelle. There was 3 prom party and us. We had six people in our group. Since there were a lot of prom people, the service lacked a little bit aka it took 40 minutes to get our food but it wasn’t the waiters fault. I got the patty melt and one of my friends got the salmon with mash potatoes. The patty melt was DELICIOUS. Bacon and onion jam? Yumm!!! Tender beef patty. I would like more fries though. they kinda skimped on fries. My friend got the salmon and i tasted some. The salmon was moist and flavorful. but it was 30 bucks. I can make the whole plate under 10 bucks by my self. Overall the food was good but the price not. My advice, go here for special occasions not a every week thing.

Service to start off wasn’t the greatest, but eventually redeemed itself. Drinks were kept fresh. Food was delivered in timely manner but unfortunately was only so-so. Kind of dry all around. My husband got the Kruse burger and I got a pulled pork sandwich. He mentioned the waiter didn’t ask how he wanted the burger so maybe, that’s just how it is?! Overall it was ok, not what we had hoped for and expected but not terrible

The food was delicious but the service was horrendous. It was a little disappointing especially because there wasn’t a lot of people dining at the time.

Expensive but very good. Atmosphere and great service. They bring you really good hot cheese bread. I ordered a Steak Cobb Salad and it had avocado’s and olives and cheese on it. We had a nice business lunch here and we will return.

This place was a great idea. Only a few minor drawbacks to a classically well done bar/pub meal. The table was sticky and needed to be wiped down, the service was slow which he blamed on a large table that came in before us, and it was a tad spendy. Don’t let that stop you from coming in because it was really tasty! Their meat and fish is really well prepared and their sides are creative. Bring good company with you and plan on having a drink or two while you wait.

This Pacific Northwest chain – Red Lobster meets TGI Fridays – only has locations in shopping malls. And all that that portends. You can get a cocktail here, and at the mall this has its value.
