Subway

Don’t count on this store to be open at 6 AM. I Drive by Monday through Friday at about 6:15 and it’s open maybe one or two days a week. When it is open there is usually just one person working the front counter and drive thru.

OMG this Subway is terrible. I don’t expect much from employees at fast food joints, but this place is really bad. The only reason it has two stars is because it’s so convenient for hwy 30 commuters but even still-​I won’t be back here.
The two times I went, I went to the drive thru-​having first noticed in the large front window that the lobby was pretty much empty. I accept the reality that drive thru at a Subway is always a time suck, because it apparently takes 15 extra minutes to make you a sandwich if you order it from your car-​whatever.
The employee (both times a younger female) came on the speaker and said, «Umm, yeah, can you just come inside? You’ll get your stuff faster.» I asked why but then just said no thanks and drove off, she sounded so put out by customers that we just left.
Against my better judgement, I tried again. I went through the drive thru on my way home from work a few months later and the BEST thing I can say is that the employee didn’t order me out of my car to get my sandwich. Her attitude was crap. I ordered one sandwich and after asking about the veggie/​sauce, whatever assorted sandwich questions they ask you, she would say «That it?» OMG I AM SORRY YOU HAD TO WORK TODAY, SWEETIE!
When I got to the window to pay, I tried to be nice but she wouldn’t make eye contact with me, ugh whatever-​never again. The employees I’ve encountered there seem to be really bent out of shape that they work in a Subway and take it out on everyone.

I’m not one to complain much but I’ve tried this subway location three times and the service is always horrible. The drive through workers have the worst attitudes especially if you order gluten free. They act like you’re a pain and the bread is usually hard. I recommend a different subway.

It’s not as though the world exactly needed yet another Subway shoppe. I’m sure I’m not the only person to miss the mom ‘n’ pop diner that was here many moons ago, before it was the Chinese place, and THEN the Subway. We used to always get soft serve ice creams there when it was the diner, on the way to the beach @ Sauvie.
What makes this Subway 4 star material? 2 words: Drive-​Through! For the many commuters bombing up and down Hwy 30, the convenience factor can’t be overlooked. It’s not as though Linnton is ever gonna be a big tourist draw — -not unless someone starts showcasing the world’s biggest ball of twine, or a stuffed Sasquatch or somesuch.
In every other respect, this is pretty much like every other of the bazillion Subway’s. Except for the drive through. A slightly healthier alternative to other, conventional fast foods, with the convenience of never having to leave your sweet ride! Everybody shoots, everybody scores, everybody wins!
