Dear Swarovski, Every time I walk by you tease and tempt me with all your glittery and sparkly wares. How well you know me, if it glitters or sparkles I am going to love it, heck, my middle name is Sparkles. If you see me, I just might respond you if you call me Sparkles. Naturally, I have a ton your sparkly, girly stuff already, but thanks to your Swarovski store, there are new sparklies to be had. There are other brands of crystal out there but Swarovski is my favourite for crystal fashion jewelry and for my little hobby of making beaded jewelry. Here is a little history lesson: I will keep it short and sparkly. In 1892, Mr. Daniel Swarovski patented the electric cutting machine that makes those little glittery, crystals so sparkly. So, as you can see, Swarovski has been around for a long time and knows what it is doing. In addition to the jewelry, there are the crystal figurines of course(yawn) sorry. It’s really your jewelry that has captured my attention. There are more earrings than you can shake a stick at, necklaces galore, rings, watches and charms, oh my! Your sales gals are always nice and patient with me when I come in from time to time and go on binge of trying on rings. It is your rings are my weakness but I haven’t seen any lately that I feel the need to take home. I will be back and to be sure, I will find my new glittery, sparkly ring. Love, Sparkles.

Reviews for the Sake of Reviewing: One Swarovski store is just like every other. But what makes all Oregon locations appealing is that you don’t have to pay sales tax. Instant savings. [Original Visit: December 20, 2010]

I recently received a pair of Swarovski earrings for graduation… Needless to say they weren’t exactly my style, so I trotted over to the Swarovski downtown to see if they could do an exchange… Luckily they agreed to let me exchange the earrings for something else without a receipt. However, the next thing that happened after they agreed to the exchange was a bit irritating. The sales lady asked me what I would like and I explained it to her, so she showed me all of the pieces she thought I would like… Well, I gotta say — Swarovski is not my style — I don’t do glitsy jewelry. Out of the pieces she picked out, I probably only semi-liked one or two of them… So after 10 – 15 minutes of trying on what she picked out… off and on… off and on… I finally decided to just browse the store a bit on my own. Two minutes later I found the necklace that was more me. still not completely loving it, but definitely MORE me. it was a heart pendant with small crystals on a silver chain. simple, cute, not too serious. After I picked it out, the sales lady insisted that I buy matching earrings. I realized then that she was trying to push me to spend money I didn’t intend to spend. But, realizing what was happening, I gently declined and just paid 10 more dollars to cover the difference for my new item. I walked out of there feeling good that I didn’t give into the sales lady’s insistence, but was also really annoyed that I felt pressured… Pushy service does not result in a sale ladies!
